Racism in action....
Two Aboriginals walk into our classroom and no this isnt the start of a joke and ask where they might find their classes (its their first day) so I give them directions and after they leave the other guy from my class who is an ethiopian and even darker than the aboriginals takes his head phones off and asks me what did they want I explained and he then asked whats to stop them from nicking some of the computers from or class room..... My class mate has only been in the country for the last four years and yet he's already picked up the attitude of a (more then I really want to admit) sadly typical (white) Australian reaction to an Aborignal.
With a straight face I explained that the computers were chained down he was suprised at that too.....
How do you confront racism?
