I always liked this song. My take on it is that the guy is lamenting the loss of his intended love, and is selling the diamond ring he had planned on giving her. It is his hope that someone else finds a love that will last.

“This Diamond Ring”, by Gary Lewis and the Playboys, was released from their album of the same name, in 1965. It was written by Al Kooper, Bob Brass, and Irwin Levine, and is on the Liberty label. Gary Lewis is the son of comedian Jerry Lewis.

One Word Photo Challenge – Jaguar

The word of the day is ‘jaguar’. These may or may not be jaguars, but it’s as close as I can get, as I’ve never seen a real one.
The first is on a shirt I have. The second is made of glass (we usually call it a panther). Third is my maybe jaguar ring.
