Mystery of the Missing Pill

Mystery of the Missing Pill

***

So, being the usual klutz that I am, there was a small incident last evening.

I knocked my weekly pill container off the cabinet, and all the little doors opened and out spilled all the pills, on the floor.

I immediately gathered them all up and put them back (after wiping them off!) in the separate places, but one was missing.

Now, each day has 2 pills, one for morning and one for evening. I don’t usually forget to take one, so they should all be an even number in the container. But, one was missing!

I looked, and looked, all over the kitchen, where they fell. Still couldn’t find that one missing pill. It was gone somewhere. It wasn’t a big deal, as I have more I can take, but I didn’t want the cat to accidentally eat one.

And, it bugs me to think why would there be only one pill in one segment, when I know I put the right amount in all of them when I renewed the weeks worth.

So, where is the missing pill? I still haven’t found it! Did it fall through a black hole, or into another dimension, or a parallel universe. Will it show up at a later date? I’ve dropped lots of things before, such as an earring, and it was totally gone, but then showed up later. Why is this? I blame my house ghost of taking things all the time, which is a fact. Maybe they wanted to try out my medicine?

Well, you can see how my thoughts always turn to the mysterious conclusions. No secrets there, as that’s just how I am.

Meanwhile, I’ll wait and see what happens. 🙂

Welcome to the 2018 edition of the A to Z Blogging Challenge!

All through the month of April, the challenge asks us to blog every day (except Sundays), and to go through the alphabet A to Z, connecting our posts to the letter of each day.

My idea for this time, my 5th to participate, is to showcase a book or two each day, and provide a tiny bit of information about them. These will not be a full book review, but just saying what it is about, and if I liked the book or not.

These books are mostly books that I already have on my shelves, and have read, or are on my to be read stacks. There will be a very few of them that I don’t already own, or have read.

I will also post a quote each day that has something to say about books, or reading.

Hope you enjoy, and maybe see a book or a few that you might want to read, too.

“Gone”, by Michael Grant is a Teen/Young Adult novel. It is the start of a continuing series, with the same characters throughout.

The story starts with a ‘poof’. That is, as the teens are in class, their teacher just disappears. They soon find out that all the adults are just gone. As we meet the characters, woven into a thrilling tale, they try to find out what has happened, and what they will do now.

There are the typical good kids, and bad kids who have confrontations. Then, a few of the teens seem to have developed certain kinds of powers. There are scary parts, and funny parts as well as the continuing mystery of their situation.

And, I sure wanted to find out what happened, so I was hooked on the whole series.

The books are fast paced, and easy to read. I’d definitely recommend them.

“Graves End”, by Elaine Mercado, is her true story of living in a haunted house. This took place in Brooklyn, New York, and they are still living in the house, today.

If you like ghost stories, especially if they are a true account of a paranormal experience, this is a good one.

The author and her family finally had help from parapsychologist, Dr. Hans Holzer, and medium, Marisa Anderson. They eventually found out what was causing all the spooky things that happened to them and the house.
