Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “chill.’” Use it any way you’d like. Have fun!

At first thought for this prompt word, chill, I have no thoughts about it. So, I think I’ll think about it a little longer, and get back to you. 🙂

Okay, it’s been a minute and I thought of something. Remember the phrase, ‘take a chill pill’? I guess that meant to relax, don’t worry, just mellow out … chill!

Guess there’s a pill for everything now, for good purposes and for bad purposes. I know I take enough during the day, all with doctor’s requirements. Ugh!

There was a time, when I was a kid, when I could not for the life of me swallow a pill. A teeny tiny baby asprin , asperin , asprine, how the heck do you spell that word? I’ve tried all different ways and still get the red squiggly line under it. Should I go look up the correct spelling? Maybe I will in a few minutes.  .. I finished this post and then went to look up the word spelling. I had at least one of them right. It showed two ways – asperin, and aspirin. Now, I’m still getting the red wavy line under asperin. Oh well. 🙂

Anyway, back to my story of not being able to swallow that tiny, orange flavored pill. I would just lick it, a little at a time. Lick, a gallon of water, lick, a gallon of water, and on and on until it finally dissolved. I’m sure my parents were losing patience with me.

And even up until I was adult with kids of my own, I couldn’t swallow a pill, and the older you get, the larger the pills get! I’d still have to chew them. But, finally I did learn how, with a lot of choking. There are still some p;ills that are just huge, and I won’t even attempt those, like some calcium ones are probably an inch long and fat. No way, just uh uh nope not gonna happen, and they say not to cut them in half. So back to the store to find smaller ones. I probably should check out the chewable ones. haha 🙂

So, it’s the weekend again, not a fan, but we might get rain today, so that’s good. Happy Saturday! 🙂
