Petals Circle Around – Flower Shapes
For Terri’s challenge:
The Flower Hour #16: The Shapes of Flowers
***
Terri has some great examples of flower shapes in the above link. Here are some circle shapes I found. What impresses me about flowers is each tiny seed just knows what kind of flower it is going to be, and how to arrange it’s petals exactly in the shape it is meant to be. Individual from all other flowers, but still a member of it’s family. Amazing! 🙂

Not sure, but this orange flower with black center might be a Rudbekia.
Caught this little gray bug hitch hiker hanging out in the center of the pretty orange flower in the garden center place.

Here’s a nice example of a salmon colored Bromeliad. They also come naturally in all different colors, even multi-colors on one plant.
Interesting fact (from Wiki)

This is a pretty pink and white daisy, I think. What strikes me about it is the three center circles.
I think it looks like an eye, and the closer you get the more you seem to fall into the black part, like looking through a window into space. There are little white specks way inside the black center which look like little stars. (to see even closer just click photo…it’s really cool!)
