            Spring is in the air on this glorious sunny day.  It is over 50 degrees outside with the flowers all blooming nearby.  All of the snow is melting (or will soon be gone) around the streets.  The weather is getting warmer and more people are getting out.

            To celebrate the beginning of Spring, I figured its time to announce this week’s video game music playlists.  Video game music has a tendency to match beautifully with a type of season.  This most definitely includes the season of spring.

The Coronavirus, as well as the devastating PR nightmare that it brought along with it, is looming around in the nation.  Schools are closing, sports seasons are suspended, college classes are being held online, and other events continue to be postponed.  It’s as if we are truly living in an American horror story.

And speaking of ‘American Horror Story’… a BRAND-new teaser dropped for American Horror Story season ten!

The teaser starts with mermaids swimming underneath a boat.  Next, one of the mermaids is shown hanging on to the boat, which carried four men inside.  Two other mermaids also poke up to the top as well.  After that, the screen fades to black and the title card slowly turns to ‘American Horror Story 10’.

What does this mean for the next season of American Horror Story?  Are the mysterious men on the boats actually pirates?  How will the mermaids be incorporated into the theme?  Are they the next horrific monsters for the season?

Season ten has been on lots of people’s mind (especially mine!) ever since the shocking conclusion of American Horror Story: 1984.  There were a few hints dropped on what the new chapter will be.  This latest teaser with mermaids is just one of many that will be dropping within the next few months.

Here we are in the middle of April and we are half a year away until the newest season of American Horror Story.  Season 8 was quite explosive last year as American Horror Story: Apocalypse revolved around Michael Langdon, the powerful demon that was born in American Horror Story: Murder House.  From the very first episode, it has been a whirlwind of seasons crossing over upon each other.  There were many elements from different seasons that were wrapped into one amazing story line.

It may still be early in the year, but a MAJOR teaser was recently dropped last week.  The teaser dropped the newest season which will be known as… AHS: 1984.

The teaser shows a young teenage girl running through the woods at night.  A tall, dark masked man slowly chases after her.  She finds shelter in an abandoned barn.  Even still, the masked man still catches up to her.  Seconds later, the teaser ends with the masked man driving a knife through the barn door.  With that, the scene reveals the season’s title ‘AHS 1984’.

Interestingly enough, 1984 was quite a significant year for slasher movies.  Some infamous movies that came out that year include Friday the 13th, Children of the Corn, Nightmare on Elm Street, and The Hills Have Eyes.  All four movies gained nationwide success, creating a major cult following among horror movie fans everywhere.

With this new title released, what kind of story can we see this year?  Will American Horror Story become a slasher-themed horror movie for this season?  Could the season be set at summer camp?  Who is the masked man that followed the girl into that barn?

This one teaser already came packed with many unanswered questions to answer.  Will start finding out the answers soon enough.

For now, let’s take the time to celebrate the revealing of this year’s season titled AHS: 1984.  Who knows what kind of adventurous ride we will be in for this fall?

 

Bong Appetit Season 3 Cook-Off

It has been quite a while since new episodes of Bong Appétit aired on Viceland.  The 4/20-friendly cooking show featured Abdullah Saeed, Ry Pritchard, and Vanessa Lavorato as they dine through various cannabis-infused cuisines.  Abdullah hosts guests at the infamous Bong Appétit House for delightful cannabis-infused dinners.  Vanessa helps out with the cooking while Ry pitches his infusion ideas for the dishes.  Different chefs from various backgrounds enter the Bong Appétit kitchen to cook their own cultured dishes that are also infused with THC and CBD.  The last episode that aired was back in April 17th 2018.

Bong Appétit was a unique cannabis cooking series that showcased all of the steps and ingredients necessary for a 4/20-friendly meal.  All types of foods from different cultures were infused with cannabis one way or another.  The show took cannabis edibles to the next level each time.

After merely a year in hiatus, Bong Appétit will be back on Viceland this year.  Bong Appétit will kick off its third season with a unique twist.  The third season will be hosted by Miguel Trinidad, Vanessa Lavorato, and B Real.  This season will have three chefs competing head-to-head to create the best infused dishes.  Each episode will showcase different chefs cooking different sets of food.

            I am definitely pumped for new episodes of Bong Appétit.  Bong Appétit is one of those intriguing cannabis cooking shows I can definitely get into.  Rather than be all silly and cliché (like Cooking While High), Bong Appétit gets to the science part as well.  There is a whole science that goes to the infusion of THC and CBD within certain meals.
