Barnes & Noble is one of the most famous bookstore chains of all time.  They feature books of all kinds of genres such as fiction, biographies, philosophy, mystery, horror, and so much more.  Besides books, they even have other literature such as manga and travel guides.  The bookstore chain even features other items such as board games, toys, music (including vinyl records), puzzles, DVDs, and so much more.  Most of the stores even have a cafe that provides food and drinks while you enjoy the latest book you purchased.

For over 15 years, Barnes & Noble experienced a decline in sales in many of its stores.  And yet, Barnes & Noble has been experiencing strong sales in its existing stores.  In fact, Barnes & Nobles has been doing so well that they plan to open up new stores this year.

The number of stores expected to open?  60.

That’s right folks – Barnes & Noble plan to open 60 stores this year.  The company confirmed leases for stores in states such as California, Florida, Colorado, Georgia, Ohio, Illinois, Texas, Virginia, Washington D.C., and Washington State.  Barnes & Nobles did not specify opening dates or exact locations of where they will be opening, but a total of 60 stores will be opening across various states.
