Spyro the Dragon 4 New Leak

Alrighty folks – we are at the LAST few days of 2025.  Another great Christmas has come and gone.  The new year is upon us as 2026 starts later this week.

This is a lot to look forward to next year – new Television series, new movies, new books.  New laws and regulations are set to take effect at the beginning of the year.  Better yet, There are even legal cannabis social consumption sites set to open around Massachusetts.  

And just recently, word got around that we may be getting a new game from the Spyro the Dragon franchise.

A Toys for Bob developer recently revealed they have been working on a new Spyro the Dragon game.  No word yet on what the new title will be, but fans are hinting that the game could be Spyro 4.  If the game were to be Spyro 4, this would be the latest in the Spyro the Dragon franchise since Spyro Reignited Trilogy back in 2018.

Spyro the Dragon has always been the popular mascot for the Sony PlayStation.  Like Crash Bandicoot, Spyro has his line of great games like Spyro the Dragon, Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly, and Spyro: Year of the Dragon.  Each Spyro game came with its own unique enemies, challenges, and collectibles spread out throughout each level.  While Nintendo had Banjo-Kazooie and Super Mario 64, Sony PlayStation had Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon.

Nintendo Indie World Showcase August 2025

The Nintendo Indie World Showcase premiered last week, showing all of the latest Indie games coming to Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.  There are even updates coming to games as well.  While we didn’t get any news about the next Hollow Knight game, there were still some amazing titles coming within the next year.

Here were some unique titles that were announced during the Nintendo Indie World Showcase:

Is This Seat Taken?

Starting off the list with Is This Seat Taken?, a cute puzzle game where you drag small shape characters to specific areas.  The game is already available for the Nintendo Switch.

Ball x Pit

Ball x Pit is an interesting take on the brick-breaking games like Brick Breaker.  It’s a roguelike 2D action-arcade game where you survive through waves of enemies.  This game will be available on October 15th, 2025.


Well Dweller

Now we don’t have a new Hollow Knight game coming out soon, we did get a trailer for Well Dweller.  Well Dweller is a dark fairy-tale Metroidvania game from Crypt Custodian developer Kyle Thompson.  We got a glimpse of the Hollow Knight-inspired world and a release date of 2026.

Glaciered

There are all kinds of RPG series, but Glaciered stands out as an underwater action-RPG game that takes place 65 million years in the future.  Glaciered will be out this Holiday season for the Nintendo Switch 2.

HBO Max to Max to HBO Max

Max went through various brand revisions the past five years.  First they changed the name from ‘HBO Max’ to Max two years ago.  Then they played around with the logo, only for it to look vaguely family to the original HBO log.  Now Max has a lot of great content (especially from HBO), but their brand has shifted around a lot.

Now there is even another big change coming to Max.  Max is now being rebranded as… HBO Max.

Warner Bros. Discovery announced Max is now returning as HBO Max this summer.  It’s an ironic change with Max going back to its old ways as HBO Max when it first released.  This comes after lots of criticism over the name change back in 2023.

In just a matter of five years, HBO Max was renamed to Max and NOW it is changing to HBO Max this Summer.  Max always had content from HBO Max, so leaving out the ‘HBO’ part didn’t make any sense.  So many streamers complained about leaving out the ‘HBO’ part when there are hit series from HBO like The Sopranos and The White Lotus.  And the new logo is like a nostalgic longing to the old HBO era in the early 2000s.  

So Max will be HBO Max again this summer.  Max went through different changes in the past five years, yet always going back to designs from HBO.  Maybe HBO Max will be renamed once again like ‘HBO Go Max’ or ‘Max Go’.  Whatever silly changes the company reveals, they will always have the best content to stream from both Max and HBO.
