Nintendo Switch Online April 2026 Releases

Last week, three classic NES games were made available for the Nintendo Switch Online.  These games can be played for both the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.  The games are Pac-Man, The Tower of Druaga, and Mendel Palace.

Pac-Man is a game that pretty much needs no further introduction.  Namco first released Pac-Man in 1980 and became the defining game during the Arcade era.  Now the NES version of Pac-Man is available on Nintendo Switch online.

The Tower of Druaga is an Action role-playng maze game where you scale 60 floors of the titular tower in order to rescue the maiden Ki from Druaga, an eight-armed and four-legged demon who plans to use the Blue Crystal Rod to enslave mankind.  It’s basically like a ‘fantasy Pac-Man’ with combat and puzzle-solving.

Lastly there is Mendel PalaceMendel Palace is a 1989 puzzle game by Game Freak (creator of the Pokémon series) where each level is a 5 X 7 grid of floor tiles surrounded by a boundary wall.  You flip the floor tile you are standing on to propel the enemy dolls away and reveal new floor tiles underneath.  The enemies can be destroyed by flipping them into a wall or impassable block.

Evercade Nexus + Banjo-Kazooie Double Pack releases October 30th

Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie are two of the best collectathon games that came out for the Nintendo 64.  First you have Banjo-Kazooie, the one that started the adventure for the bear and bird duo in the quest to defeat the evil witch Gruntilda Winkybunion.  Then there was Banjo-Tooie, the second game that featured even more jiggies to collect while fighting Gruntilda once again.  You collected jiggies, feathers, blue eggs, honeycombs, Cheato pages, and more in every level of the games.

Now for two amazing games like that, it only makes sense that Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie get their own combo pack.  There hasn’t been a product concept like that for these games, even years.

But this is the year it all finally happens.

Evercade is coming out with the Evercade Nexus with a Banjo-Kazooie Double Pack.  The Evercade Nexus is a retro handheld gaming console that is designed for the Evercade ecosystem as well as 32 and 64-bit games.  Also the Banjo-Kazooie Double Pack will feature both the games Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie.  This new console will be out October 30th this year.

So we don’t just have a new retro handheld gaming console coming out – we also get both Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie together in one amazing game cartridge.  We finally have both Banjo-Kazooie games coming together in one incredible combo pack.

Mating Season Premieres on Netflix May 22nd

So Big Mouth ended with season eight last May.  Big Mouth followed mutiple students who were exploring puberty and embracing the human body as well as sex.  It was one of the raunchiest animated series on Netflix that released episodes for almost eight years.  There was the spin-off Human Resources that released in March 2022, but that only last two seasons.

Even still, a whole new series from the creators of Big Mouth is coming to Netfix real soon.  That series is called Mating Season.

Mating Season is an adult animated romantic comedy series set in the animal world.  It’s about love, sex, relationships, and the universal need to find a partner.  Some of the animals featured include bears, raccoons, foxes, deers, and other horny forest critters.  The show is set to release on Netflix May 22nd.

While Big Mouth is over, Mating Season will be on the way this Spring.  It was a blast watching the story of prepubescent kids growing up, but now is the time to see a new adult animated series about actual grown-ups.  It will be the same sex-crazed animated series, but with animals in the wild.

And with that, Mating Season begins May 22nd.
