EP Math

Mathe ist in unseren Leveln enthalten oder Ihr könnt einen einzelnen Mathekurs benutzen. Auf der Website gibt es eine Placement-Anleitung, der euch bei der Auswahl eures Levels hilft.

First and second are very similar, except that the addition and subtraction go a little higher. The math is progressive and goes up through calculus.

Erstens und zweitens sind sehr ähnlich, außer dass die Addition und Subtraktion etwas höher gehen. Die Mathematik ist progressiv und geht hoch bis Calculus.

We have math books first through fifth available as of Summer 2018. We are working to prepare levels 6 and 7 as well. These books take the courses completely offline. There is a student workbook and a lesson book for each level. The workbook is not the complete course. It needs to be used along with lessons. The lessons are online or in the parent guide. Starting in 5^th, the workbooks are made to be used independently by the student.

Ab Sommer 2018 sind die ersten bis fünften Mathematikbücher verfügbar. Wir arbeiten daran, auch die Stufen 6 und 7 vorzubereiten. Diese Bücher machen die Kurse komplett offline. Für jede Stufe gibt es ein Schülerarbeitsbuch und ein Lehrbuch. Das Arbeitsbuch ist nicht der vollständige Kurs. Es muss zusammen mit dem Unterricht verwendet werden. Die Lektionen sind online oder im Elternhandbuch. Ab dem 5. werden die Arbeitsbücher so erstellt, dass sie vom Schüler selbstständig verwendet werden können.

There is one level that is different than the others, levels 5. I called 5^th, Step 1. It’s made for kids to move at their own pace. It’s the only course not done by day number. It’s an ordered list of lessons. They will move through as you direct. I had a son go through the course in 2 months, and my daughter went through it in 2 years. You can have them do 20 minutes a day, or have them do one lesson a day and then repeat it the next day if they weren’t successful.

Es gibt ein Level, das  sich von den anderen unterscheidet, das 5. Level. Lee Giles hat das 5. Level, Step 1, genannt. Er ist dafür gemacht, dass Kinder in ihrem eigenen Tempo vorwärts gehen können. Dies ist der einzige Kurs, der nicht nach Tagesanzahl durchgeführt wird. Es ist eine geordnete Liste von Lektionen. Ihr geht ihn  durch, wie  es angewiesen wird. Lee Giles  hatte einen Sohn in 2 Monaten durch den Kurs und ihre Tochter hat ihn in 2 Jahren durchgemacht. Sie können ihn 20 Minuten pro Tag oder eine Stunde pro Tag machen lassen und am nächsten Tag wiederholen, wenn es nicht erfolgreich war.

The Step 2 course is technically the 6^th grade course, but you should always choose what’s best for your child, not just put them in a grade level.

Der Step 2-Kurs ist technisch gesehen der Kurs für die 6. Klasse. Ihr solltet jedoch immer das Beste für euer Kind auswählen und nicht nur eine Klassenstufe/Level erreichen.

As we are preparing books, we are preparing Printables books as well, which are all the worksheets that are supposed to be printed throughout the year. They can be printed from the site for free, or can be bought as workbook as a convenience to have all those worksheets all together without having to print them out. These are low cost and I know of ladies who took the pdf to a place like Staples to have it printed and bound regretted it because it wasn’t any cheaper than buying the workbook.

So wie wir Bücher in englisch bereit stellen, so bereiten wir auch Ausdrucke /druckbare Bücher vor.  Dies sind alle Arbeitsblätter, die das ganze Jahr über gedruckt werden sollen. Sie können kostenlos von der Website ausgedruckt oder als Arbeitsbuch gekauft werden, um alle Arbeitsblätter zusammen zu haben, ohne sie ausdrucken zu müssen. Die Bücher sind kostengünstig und ich kenne Frauen, die das PDF an einen Ort (zB. Druckerei) brachten, um es drucken und binden zu lassen, wo es nicht billiger war, als das Arbeitsbuch zu kaufen.
