Springboard is the name of a new one-day workshop which focuses on leadership in, for and across the GDM network. Completion of the Springboard workshop will support you to:
- Build on what you are already doing to help people be more active.
- Provide practical support for your own development.
- Identify, explore and help you with how you might want to develop yourself in your leadership work and approach to collaborating.
- Be an introduction and connection to the rest of the learning and development offer.
- Connect with others in the network and consider what further joint working there might be, growing a movement of skilled and motivated colleagues in the network to further strengthen the work of the network as a whole.
Springboard is at the leading edge of this type of work. We are proud to be trailblazers in our approach. Already, there is national interest in this offer, however Springboard has been specifically designed to respond to and meet the needs of the Get Doncaster Moving Network and priority will be given to network members whose work impacts directly on Doncaster, it's communities and residents. Initially, two further Springboard sessions have been planned and will take place on:
- Friday 19 June 2026, The Point, Doncaster
- Wednesday 23 September 2026, The Point, Doncaster
Due to the interest we have already received, we anticipate that the places available for Springboard workshops will book up quickly. We would recommend completing the expression of interest form (below) as soon as possible.
Once submitted, a member of the GDM team will confirm receipt of your application and next steps.
Springboard sessions are fully funded by Get Doncaster Moving. This investment into the network is an important step forward in our collective work as we see the huge value in supporting the network to have a sustainable future.
We welcome network members to consider whether they may wish to apply for a place on Springboard alongside a colleague – this could help support and embed the learning back into the organisation in some cases. Please note, expressions of interest will need to be received for each individual.
Further support to activate learning and development needs will be made available to those who have attended the Springboard workshop.
