In a once in a lifetime interview with John Fetterman, the interviewer decided to put Fetterman’s feet to the fire regarding a whole host of unpleasant topics. None of the questions could have been any finer that the question on fracking in Pennsylvania.
PA Sen. John Fetterman joined Meet the Press –
Things went south for Fetterman when he was hit with some surprisingly tough questions from Welker on fracking. Welker started by noting Kamala Harris’s long history of supporting a ban on fracking, going back to her days as California Attorney General when she sued the Obama regime over it and asked why people should trust Harris now.
Instead of answering directly, Fetterman said that it was “strange” they were talking about fracking at all and started rambling about a series of issues not remotely related to the question at hand.
To Welker’s credit, she refused to let Fetterman off the hook and brought up his own flip-flop from supporting a ban on fracking before suddenly backing it just before he decided to run for Senate in 2022. Once again, Fetterman refused to answer, calling it a “gotcha” question, laughably taking Harris at her current word on fracking and bragging about his win over Dr. Oz in the Senate election.
We are off to the races with the impeachment inquiry. At the least we will make some of these fine folks spring for an attorney and sweat a bit. As an example of the reaction, we have Fetterman’s which was as always, clear, concise and what we would expect of a man who took advantage of the corrupt voting system in Pennsylvania.
Sporting his latest getup…
John Fetterman Eschews Coat & Tie For More Casual Look
He is sporting a picture of former Senator Bob Casey who he succeeded. Lucky Pennsylvania.
How on Earth is John Fetterman a United States Senator?
McCarthy announced the impeachment inquiry in remarks at the Capitol late Tuesday morning:
“I am directing our House committees to open a formal impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden. Over the past several months, House Republicans have uncovered serious and credible allegations into President Biden’s conduct—a culture of corruption.”
There sure is plenty of evidence if indeed the GOP has the documents they purport to have…either way, a glimpse into the bottom pit of the swamp for those who chose to look.
John Fetterman is on the job in his hoodie and gym shorts in the Capitol. Then he attempts to opine on the 14th amendment. Meanwhile, Senator Feinstein doesn’t even know where she is. But the Dems will keep them no matter what because they hold the slimmest of margins. Oh a few who lust for her position are making noises.
Meanwhile it’s is a full force attack for the exit of the GOP House member Santos for expulsion without the benefit of trial and jury. The DOJ is on it. In just a few months they were able to come up with a dozen or more charges. Meanwhile four years later nothing on Hunter Biden.
House Republicans blocked Democrats’ effort to expel scandal-plagued Rep. George Santos from Congress less than a week after the first-term Republican congressman pleaded not guilty to fraud charges.
Democrats pushed a resolution to expel Santos, but Republicans instead voted along party lines 221 to 204 to send the matter to the House Ethics Committee. Seven Democrats voted present, including several on the House Ethics panel to head off concerns of a conflict of interest.
Anyone recall Senator Menendez who ran into trouble in New Jersey? Of course no scalp was required and the DOJ was more than willing to accommodate.
In a shocking turnaround, the U.S. Justice Department has dropped its case against U.S. Sen. Robert Menendez.
In a court in Newark on Wednesday, federal prosecutors moved to dismiss the corruption indictment against the New Jersey Democrat after a federal judge last week acquitted Menendez and his co-defendant, Salomon Melgen, of seven of the 18 counts against them.
Jesse Waters rounds it out with the mayhem occurring in the D.C.scene and it sure is one. Included we get a glimpse and more of Senator Kennedy doing his thing with the nomination of a judge. You know… more of “the thing.”
Governor-elect Josh Shapiro announced he is ready to restrict fracking and energy development in Pennsylvania following his win on Tuesday.
Pennsylvania is one of the largest fossil fuel producers in the U.S, accounting for 9% of the country’s total natural gas production. It’s also the third-largest provider of energy to other states
Shapiro now says he supports the recommendations from the state’s investigation (which he implemented) that includes:
** Expand “no-drill” permits making if more difficult to produce natural gas ** Disclose fracking chemicals so companies can be targeted with lawsuits ** Regulate smaller oil and gas pipeline
According to Jeff Flock on FOX Business Network, Shapiro is going to crack down on the state’s vibrant energy sector.
As Attorney General in the state, Shapiro investigated fracking companies in the state which resulted in charges against a couple of drilling companies.
You may wonder where this man Josh Shapiro came from. Actually another Senator-elect Fetterman who drifted below the radar thanks in no small part by the GOP. He should have been an easy pick-off. Presently a Progressive Attorney General for the State who already had gone after the Natural Gas industry with various lawsuits.
Here is the stunner. Mastriano. the Conservative GOP candidate for Governor, was popular and well known having been a major player in GOP politics for years. I had heard of him back in the halcycon days of the Tea Party.Yet I saw not one ad supporting his candidacy. Yet thousands of anti ads from his opposition of the worse possible kind.
At the time I voted on Tuesday, I recognized a candidate at the Mastriano table and asked him why there had been no ads. He indicated to me that the GOP had not given one nickel to his candidacy. All the ads that occurred for him were from friends.
So one has to ask why?A supporter of Nat Gas as opposed to a Progressive State Attorney General Greenie.
Zero ads about Shapiro’s anti-fracking. I add the same with Fetterman. No ads about his public statements of anti-fracking.
From an anti-Mastriano piece:
Mastriano:
Mastriano has unabashedly and loudly called for deregulation of the state’s fossil fuel industries. In March, he introduced the PA Energy Independence Act, which would make it easier for oil, gas, and coal companies to dig for resources throughout the state.
The bill would mandate that the state Department of Environmental Protection review natural gas and coal permits within 45 days, or the permits would automatically be approved as long as they meet certain conditions. It would also lift the Wolf administration’s ban on leases in state parks and forests, establish a cap on permitting fees for fracking wells, and exempt Pennsylvania’s coal industry from federal regulations.
“We need to open more of our lands for fracking and drilling,” wrote Mastriano in an op-ed supporting expanding Pennsylvania’s energy production. “The blessing of Marcellus Shale in Pennsylvania is still underutilized with untapped deposits of natural gas.”
Arizona’s election system is run by Secretary of State Katie Hobbs. One of the candidates.
Let’s see how things are rolling in Arizona. As I write this which is last evening there were 400,000 ballots yet to be counted.
Let’s check in on Arizona which has taken 4.5 hours to count less than 2000 votes. And has had 66% reporting all day.
I noticed the same thing while watching this today. Once the margin got really close and Lake was on a trajectory to take the lead, suddenly the votes stopped
Counting completely still in numbers for FOUR HOURS. I’ve never seen this. We’re getting updates, a few hundred votes at a time but still currently at 66% (2:24pm local)
Governor DeSantis had the Sanibel causeway rebuilt after Ian in less time than it took Arizona to count to thousand votes today.
I wonder what they are waiting for?
A highlight of yesterday’s presser. Biden at full speed. Remind you of anyone?
John Fetterman for President! MSNBC thinks so.
Bonus: Pennsylvania. Can’t miss this one. Fetterman for President!
(The clip continues on with Tucker Carlson)
Time to wrap it up!
Wishing you a wonderful day…. The best of the swamp.
It is hard to believe that America enjoys inflation, crime and high energy prices. The election should have been a blowout. No brand name Raisin Bran cereal for us. We just need to buy “the other brand.” See? You will get to like it. Here is breakfast.
Dinner is just a box away.
In Pennsylvania?
Fetterman cannot communicate without monitors and needs stenographers typing out questions in real time, but he is headed to the US Senate. It sums up the whole miserable situation. Another basement candidate where half the vote was already mailed in before Fetterman came up for air out of the basement.
How did he do it? The last week they stuck a large prompter up when he was out on the stump a couple of times so he could read out some prepared sentences. As for Trump? This is your baby. We had McCormick, a great candidate but Trump had to have this carpet bagger who squeaked out a win in the primary by a thousand or so votes. Cheers Donald. You probably gave control to the Senate to the Dems.
Gateway Pundit blames it on nefarious activity. Probably more truth than fiction to a point.
The Democrat big guns are out. We hear nothing about addressing the issues. Inflation, crime, immigration, energy, education. Instead they claim that the very Democracy of America is at stake.
Now the warning that “it will be days” until we know the outcome due to all those mail-in ballots.
Ah, when have we heard that before? Anyone want to bet the DOJ Election Task Force will be at the ready? Now warning about Right Wingers disrupting the elections.
After all it’s who counts the votes.
“Why would results be on time anymore?” “Late night ballot drops work too well.”
It takes time to coordinate a fleet of SUVs dumpling cases of Ballots in the early morning and kick out GOP Poll watchers.
Biden says “Count all the ballots in a legal manner?” How were they counted in 2020?
Yes, time to find all those “missing ballots.” I had already warned what was happening here in Pennsylvania. We are told by the our local head of elections we won’t know until we start counting the ballots if the ballots can be read by machine. Similar to what happened during this Spring’s primary.
The UPDATE: The PA Supreme court just ruled November 1, 2022 that the undated mail-in ballots must not be counted. There are those rushing to federal court about the ruling.
Then we have the 240,000 ballots mailed out to unverified voters illegally by our equally corrupt acting Secretary of State. But with days to count I am sure they can figure it all out.
Acting PA Secretary of State that “we won’t know.’ She assures us.
“It’s really important for us to get accurate information about the election process in Pennsylvania,” Chapman said. “So voters and the public know that when there are delays in counting, it doesn’t mean that there’s anything nefarious happening. It’s just what the law is in Pennsylvania.”
BREAKING: Acting PA Secretary of State warns of "delays" in counting midterm voteshttps://t.co/KwL7Ne4pYN
A train wreck is far too kind for those who took the time and could bear the suffering of Fetterman as he continued to decline throughout the debate.
There are those who wonder why the Fetterman Oz contest should be of interest to those who live outside of Pennsylvania. If someone as incompetent as Fetterman can be elected then we are indeed doomed. Sadly 635,000 mail-in ballots have already been turned in. Another reason to cut out weeks of early voting.
Fracking
There have been no ads in my TV market covering the fracking issue. Pennsylvania is second only to Texas in Natural Gas drilling. Tens of thousands of jobs are involved. Finally we get the topic out in the light. For most of rural America its a big deal. A really big deal.
This is how the debate started out and it didn’t get any better.
You know you have lost when even CNN cannot muster a positive review of the spectacle. Fetterman and his family and friends should be ashamed of what they have supported in this candidacy.
Frankly I found it enjoyable after all those attacks on the NBC gal Dasha Burns who did the Fetterman interview, and was honest to state the obvious that she wasn’t sure he understood the preinterview back and forth conversation. Her redemption is sweet revenge.
MSNBC: John Fetterman "has a hard time understanding what he's hearing…he still has some problems, some challenges with speech…he had a hard time understanding our conversations." pic.twitter.com/EYLNVxb0Cy
CNN analysts break down Fetterman’s performance in debate
“Following the only debate in the key Pennsylvania Senate race, CNN’s panel of analysts breaks down Democratic candidate John Fetterman’s performance, after a stroke in May left him with lasting complications.”
Fetterman is running against Republican nominee Dr. Mehmet Oz in the 2022 US Senate race in Pennsylvania. It was a shock to hear MSNBC actually acknowledge what those of us who live in the PA Capital TV market know so very well. Fetterman cannot string two sentences together.
He acknowledges that he requires monitor captioning of questions. Just how does he expect this to work in the senate for him? How does he function at hearings to which he is assigned? His constituents?
Where will be the soaring rhetoric and debating that one would hope the ideal candidate would have?
Worse, he is far far left. What has not been covered is his anti-fracking position. Amazingly the race with Oz is supposedly neck and neck and I would think so. Millions upon millions of dollars have been poured in attacking Oz endlessly.
In fairness, Oz is no prize candidate. There are plenty of forgettable comments he has made through the years and there are years of TV programs to find the jewels. He has boxed himself in on the abortion issue with a hard stand against it. He squirms trying to evade which doesn’t help him.
The Dems are counting on the abortion issue apparently to see them through the close elections. We shall see how women voters react to it.
I am sure he expected a softball interview and never figured that the comments he made prior to the “official” interview would be reported. His new strategy apparently is the sympathy vote for his medical condition. That is his strength now that the truth is seeping out. Our sympathy for him ends at the ballot box.
In an exclusive interview with NBC’s Dasha Burns, Democratic candidate for Senate in Pennsylvania Lt. Gov. John Fetterman discusses his road to recovery and new challenges he faces after suffering from a stroke. NBC news agreed to conduct the interview using closed captions.
Classic Fetterman:
It was “Where’s Jackie?” Now it is “Who is Joe Bin?
And the control of the senate may be determined by this race. Wonderful.
And the answers are on the monitor in front of him.
NBC reporter: "We’ve asked for your medical records…you’ve declined those requests. Why?"
Fetterman: "Our doctor has already given a letter saying that I’m able to serve & to be running."
Reporter: "I mean, respectfully that letter from your physician, that was 6 months ago." pic.twitter.com/mDiCi7001e
But John Fetterman PA candidate for Senate is not running against John Toomey. Toomey is the outgoing Senator. He is running against Dr. Mehmet Oz. Fetterman claims Toomey was “not nice to me.” I hate to tell you John, there will be a lot of people not nice to you when you arrive in D.C. Another Biden 2.0 who is hiding out in his basement and won’t debate.
The ad money being spent on behalf of Fetterman is unbelievable in my district. None stop on YouTube and TV among other sources. His ads make horrendous charges and effective against Oz. They are professional and no doubt have been edited in such a way that does not convey his limited speech. There are few if any ads supporting Oz and the ones done are not helpful to him and are counter mocked.
Unless the GOP steps up we will lose PA. Topping it off, our PA corrupt election system has not been corrected. There were major primary voting issues as well as in the past General. The Democrat Tom Wolf Governor vetoed corrective legislation. Worse the Federal Courts stepped in. More on that after the clips. Here is a sample of a past problem:
Department of State spokeswoman Grace Griffaton said Friday the Pennsylvania elections agency planned to canvass counties to determine how many of those ballots inside envelopes without signatures have been tossed, and officials plan to issue fresh guidance based on the ruling. Source
Fetterman mentions a Doctor and is no doubt thinking about Dr. Oz. Wegman’s is a high end grocery outlet.
and it goes on a few seconds more.
Flashback:
(Again, this is PA) – Last election:Chris Varney, Judge of Elections says they were initially under the impression that it was a problem with all ballots, but then determined it was only a problem with Republican ballots. Varney says he was unaware of which specific precincts were dealing with the same issue, but that this same issue was happening in numerous locations across Fayette County.
The solution provided by Fayette County officials was to collect ballots from voters and store them in the back of voting machines — but not to scan any of them to ensure the process was handled in a fair manner.
We’ve heard different variations of this story ever since November 3, 2020, when voting machines seemed to switch votes from Republicans to Democrats. At the heart of the scandal during the big election were Dominion Voting Machines. Certainly they’re not at the heart of this particular voter “challenges” story as well, right?
Just GOP ballots wouldn’t you know? The old “coding error.” And PA still has drop boxes..
Federal appeals court says undated Pa. mail ballots should be counted, a decision that breaks with state courts and could have immediate impact. So reads the headline. Earlier I reported of the problems with certain ballots unable to be read by machine. The so called “Printing errors” on ballots.
Now we learn that the Federal courts steps into the midst of the counting of ballots with a ruling. Meanwhile different voting districts were handling the situation in different ways.
The ruling could open a new fight immediately, as David McCormick and Mehmet Oz head toward a recount.
Pennsylvania mail ballots submitted without a date on the envelope last year should be counted, a federal appeals court said Friday, a ruling that could mean thousands more votes get counted in elections moving forward — starting with this past Tuesday’s primary.
The ruling will also almost certainly reignite the smoldering political fight over undated mail ballots; create new questions and pressure for county elections officials as they continue to count votes from this week’s primary; and create another potential opening for county-by-county legal challenges as the Senate Republican primary heads toward a likely recount.
The full extent of the decision’s impact is unclear, because the court issued a judgment and said an opinion would come later. But based on the order, lawyers from both parties said, the path was suddenly cleared for counties to count the undated mail ballots they had been preparing to reject this election
…But throwing out those votes violates the federal Civil Rights Act, the ACLU argued, because the date isn’t actually used in determining the legitimacy of a vote.
The handwritten dates are required even though mail-in ballots are usually postmarked and routinely stamped when received by county elections offices.
The trailing candidate, Zac Cohen, lost a state lawsuit over the signature requirement earlier this year and the Pennsylvania Supreme Court declined to take the appeal.
Five voters whose ballots were thrown out in that election, represented by the American Civil Liberties Union, then filed a federal lawsuit. They lost at the district court level before the appeals judges overturned that decision on Friday.
Department of State spokeswoman Grace Griffaton said Friday the Pennsylvania elections agency planned to canvass counties to determine how many of those ballots inside envelopes without signatures have been tossed, and officials plan to issue fresh guidance based on the ruling. Source
Then what? Meanwhile there are tens of thousands of mail ballots yet to be counted though as I write this I cannot find any source as to the exact number. And the chain of custody?
Returning to our original problem that Bunker previously posted regarding Lancaster County PA:
A novel approach to correct this was to ask on the local Lancaster TV station for volunteers to come down and replace the ballots unreadable with new marked ballots. The chain of custody was meager as best after hours. There certain was no hurry in completing the process. Ballots were processed from 9 am to 6 pm and last I heard were completed for this county on Saturday. What happened to ballots the other hours is unknown and no one has asked.
The glitch will force election workers to hand-mark fresh ballots, a process expected to take several days. Officials in the county, the state’s sixth most populous, pledged that all the ballots will be counted eventually. But by whom? How about the local candidates where a few votes can make all the difference.
Here is how Lancaster is going. It took until Saturday to fix the ballots.
The GOP has done nothing to correct these outstanding issues by going to court and once again we will wind up questioning the results. Federal interference should have made this a Federal case all the way to the Supremes.
