House Speaker Johnson Announces New Panel to Review J6 Including FBI Officials

Should make for some interesting times. Though nothing mentioned about Subpoena power being given.

NBC reported, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) announced Wednesday the creation of a select subcommittee to investigate events that happened before and after Jan. 6, 2021.

“House Republicans are proud of our work so far in exposing the false narratives peddled by the politically motivated January 6 Select Committee during the 117th Congress, but there is still more work to be done,” Johnson said in a statement.

“We are establishing this Select Subcommittee to continue our efforts to uncover the full truth that is owed to the American people. The composition and other details regarding the Select Subcommittee will be announced soon,” he added.

Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-GA) will chair the new subcommittee, which will fall under the jurisdiction of the House Judiciary Committee chaired by Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH). Hesaid he was “honored to be tasked with continuing the investigation into the events surrounding January 6, 2021, and the failures that led to the breach of the United States Capitol.”

“What happened at the Capitol that day was the result of a series of intelligence, security, and leadership failures at multiple levels within numerous entities. I appreciate Speaker Johnson’s commitment to our work, and I am looking forward to working with Chairman Jim Jordan to continue to uncover all the facts and begin the arduous task of making needed reforms to ensure this level of security failure may never happen again,” he added.

Phila DA Krasner Looking at Bringing Charges Against J6’ers That Trump Pardoned

The first reaction has to be “why”? Krasner is one of the many Soros backed DA’s that has done his best to damage our judicial system. Soros, the fellow that Biden just gave a medal. So he wants to make some trumped up charges to hound some Pennsylvanias. It turns out he is up for re-election, and he will have some competition.

Meanwhile it appears that some of the J6ers are being slow walked in their release.

Here tis:

Soros-backed Philly District Attorney Larry Krasner is exploring state charges against January 6ers pardoned by President Trump.

Trump pardoned more 1,500 January 6 defendants as one of his first acts as US President on Monday.

However, as expected, a Democrat DA is now trying to bring state charges to pardoned January 6ers.

Larry Krasner is seeking state charges against pardoned January 6 defendants who live in Pennsylvania.

Krasner has indicated that his office is scouring over federal charging documents in an attempt to find prosecutable conduct that may not have been covered in the D.C.-based January 6 prosecutions.

He specifically mentioned looking into cases that involved “assaults on officers” and “collaboration with far-right extremist groups such as the Oath Keepers and Proud Boys,” according to a report from Inkl.com.

The far left district attorney referenced a number of Pennsylvania laws that could potentially be used in prosecuting Trump supporters over a minor riot from four years ago, including statutes related to the misuse of technology for criminal activities, state conspiracy laws, and election-related offenses.

For Krasner, the hardline stance on the January 6 protests differs dramatically from his response to the Black Lives Matter riots in 2020, which saw dozens of buildings and vehicles burned while Philadelphia Police officers were repeatedly assaulted during weeks of continued violence. Philly Crime Update noted that Krasner withdrew 80 percent of commercial burglary charges brought against rioters during the George Floyd riots, as well as those brought in the Walter Wallace riots in October 2020.

Of the 2,000 rioters arrested in 2020, 95 percent of those cases were dropped by Krasner’s office, despite the fact that 64 percent of those charged were repeat offenders.

….

Krasner is vowing to prosecute January 6 protesters just days after he received a formidable Democratic Party primary challenge from former Philadelphia Judge Pat Dugan. While flanked by labor leaders, Dugan announced his candidacy last week and promised to crack down on low level crime that has been ignored by Krasner’s office. In 2024, Krasner’s office changed a policy so that thefts under $500 are no longer treated as lower-level offenses.

How are the J6ers doing?

William Sarsfield, J6 detainee has been released from jail in Philadelphia and is now outside of the DC Jail in prison slippers and shirt, joining others for support. After his experience he is calling for prison reform.

“Maybe it’s the army in me, but I don’t like to leave anybody behind”, said Robert Morss, who had been sentenced to more than five years in prison in relation to J6 and was released last night on President Trump’s pardon,

Watch the first couple of minutes. Apparently the media doesn’t care to cover the story.

Trumpism has Arrived. J6ers to have Freedom

And here we go. Now that didn’t take long did it? One must say Biden left office with a bang in pardoning his family. We don’t hear the media going crazy over it, but the media does chortle again over Trump and this Third Reich thing they claim is coming.

MSNBC announces in one last desperate stand to gain some eyeballs with the requisite attacks on Trump.

Rachel Maddow is returning to her nightly perch on MSNBC — at least for the first few months of the second Trump administration.

The network announced on Monday that Maddow will lead its coverage of Trump’s inauguration on Jan. 20 and, starting that night, begin airing her prime-time show five nights a week at 9 p.m. Eastern.

Just to make sure we have enough crime:

President Joe Biden announced that he is commuting the sentences of nearly 2,500 people serving longer prison terms for convictions related to crack cocaine. In doing so, Biden made history and set the record for the most total individual commutations by a president in history at over 4,000.

Mark Penn’s Tweet: The last straw

Last minute pardons for Biden’s political accomplices were the plan all along. The pardons for drug dealers and commutations for murderers were just cover for the main act of these pardons and his son — all done after elections have passed.

The only administration to try to jail political opponents was not Trump’s but Biden’s, and it was the voters who rejected it with their votes.

There were legitimate questions on whether Fauci lied about his funding of gain of function research, whether Miley broke the chain of command and had unauthorized communications with the Chinese and whether the Jan 6th committee coached witnesses. They may have all been right and truthful but there were questions, and they will all go unresolved now.

But Biden was elected lying to the public about his son’s business (which was eventually uncovered), sought to win reelection hiding his infirmities, (which was also eventually uncovered), and genuinely abused his office in the closing days of his presidency as his low ratings sink even lower.

(End)

We will soon hear their stories.

That sums it up. All in all a better day in the swamp.

Let’s see what mischief our fellow earthlings have gotten themselves into this week.  Satire, Memes and Mayhem. Nonsense and animals as well. Time to take a break from the madness.

Today’s post is a special edition focusing all things politics. Still there is plenty of mayhem.

LA County Land Grab Coming – ‘They are Going to Turn Altedena into One Huge Apartment Complex’

LA 2.0. Does anyone really think that those cozy homes that dotted the landscape in the fire ravaged areas will return after Newsom and his pals get done with it?

Many of us who have endured the dreaded “Eminent Domain” action by the government, can’t help but find ourselves with a wry smile.  Their future is not likely going to be theirs.

Now is a chance to create the perfect little 500 square foot apartments. All made of ticky tack, 15 minute cities. The Progressive dream is at hand.

What does Newsom have to say? Well a lot of mumble … but

Perfect timing wouldn’t you say?

“They are going to turn Altadena into one gigantic apartment complex,” X user Bay Area State OF Mind said, referring to local officials who want to change zoning in the Altadena area from single-family to multi-family. In other words, some officials want to usher in the construction of apartment buildings and so-called ‘smart cities.’

Altadena (and other areas in L.A. County) could serve as a proof-of-concept for how the Democratic Party transforms single-family neighborhoods into apartment buildings in a world where citizens own nothing and will be happy

There is no question of the incompetency. Well documented. As Bunk posted this week, it turns out that half of the LA fire trucks were out for repair- over 100. No funds to repair them. But it does turn out they can afford an electric fire truck.

LA 100 Fire Trucks Out of Service for Repairs, but Money for an Electric Fire Truck

Los Angeles Fire Department Chief Kristin Crowley confirmed that more than 100 fire trucks — over half the fleet — were in need of repairs and out of commission due to budget cuts when wildfires ravaged the area this week.

Crowley made the comments in an interview with CNN on Saturday, one day after asserting the city failed the department she commands, saying budget cuts eliminated civilian positions, like mechanics, that led to the trucks sitting idly in a parking lot.

The LAFD fleet has 183 fire trucks, the Daily Mail reported.

Then we have the empty reservoir.

With many of these homes under insured or with no insurance, the banks will simply take possession. I would assume most of these homes have a mortgage. How many will simply walk away or is the Federal government going to make everyone whole? I would think not. In that case the banks will take possession. The worries over Land-Grab by outsiders more likely will be the banks.

Water water everywhere… but none in the reservoir.

The song “Little Boxes Made of Ticky Tack” comes to mind. “Little Boxes” – Walk off the Earth

Perfect together. How can one resist? A refresher.

Trump has Johnson Remove Turner as House Intel Committee Chair – Deep State Rumbles

Trump sets lose his first arrow from his quiver and demanded the removal of Mike Turner as Chair of the House Intelligence Committee. The first salvo in ridding us of the deep state. Steve Bannon has been warning about him for years.

It is fair to say, this is long overdue. One of McCarthy’s pieces of work from way back who set him up in this position. Steve Bannon fills us in.

Politico reported

“Speaker Mike Johnson has removed Mike Turner as chair House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, three people familiar with the decision tell POLITICO. Turner has been an outspoken advocate for Ukraine funding and other hawkish national security stances.”

And much much more as you will learn.

Things have not been good and flared last year when Turner pushed for Ukraine funding. He claimed a Russia Russia Russia threat hoax in order to push for funding, but it goes much worse and deeper… one could say all the way to China.

According to a leak to CNN, the threat was supposedly “related to Russia.”

“Multiple sources familiar with the intelligence characterized it as “very sensitive,” CNN reported last year

Let’s let Steve Bannon tell the story. Now all of a sudden Schiff is appointed to the 2025 Intel Committee. Deep Deep State.

LA 100 Fire Trucks Out of Service for Repairs, but Money for an Electric Fire Truck

No less than criminal one must conclude after seeing the interview of Fire Chief Crowley on CNN. No money to maintain over 100 fire trucks, but money for an electric fire truck you will learn. The first in the nation, they exclaim.

Breathtaking, the lack of concern for people and property. We hear that the Firemen from Mexico have arrived. Where are the federal forces that fight our national fires? Those tankers who are used during the fire season throughout the west? Are you telling me there are only two tanker planes, one of which has been down for most of the fire?

News Max:

Los Angeles Fire Department Chief Kristin Crowley confirmed that more than 100 fire trucks — over half the fleet — were in need of repairs and out of commission due to budget cuts when wildfires ravaged the area this week.

Crowley made the comments in an interview with CNN on Saturday, one day after asserting the city failed the department she commands, saying budget cuts eliminated civilian positions, like mechanics, that led to the trucks sitting idly in a parking lot.

LAFD– Electric Pumper

The Rosenbauer RTX that rolled into Hollywood’s Station 82 is the first fully electric pumper — meaning it has hoses, pumps, and water tanks onboard — in North America. The short ranges that emergency vehicles travel in cities make them especially well-suited to electrification, but there’s a diesel range-extender onboard that can charge the battery for backup during longer calls.

It’s an important first from a noise and emissions perspective, but perhaps even more significantly, this engine is compact, more like a transit bus than a traditional fire truck. “Every single thing is different,” says Fields. “There’s nothing about it that’s like the rest of our fleet.” Because the truck is shorter and narrower — it doesn’t even have exterior mirrors — and has four-wheel steering, it’s much more

Biden waives his Magic Wand Again, Gives $770 Bucks to Fire Victims

The last vestiges of the Biden-Harris outfit were on the scene yesterday, displaying their finest ability to react to a situation. Waving dollar bills once again at the peasants. For the paltry sum of $770 you can go out on the town. No waiting. Which means of course that all of California might just as well apply.

Keep this in mind. It was reported that the United States had provided $3.4 billion to pay the salaries of Ukrainian bureaucrats and schoolteachers. Not to buy weapons for soldiers on the front line, not to supply ammunition, but to pay government officials living in the safest parts of the country.

Then we had Kamala Harris chortling “patience” – lost in her word salad. She is apparently hanging around the old man a bit too much.

A reminder that we sure did dodge two silver bullets with these two.

Let’s review the situation:

We close with In this edition of “Victor Davis Hanson: In His Own Words,” Hanson, author of “The End of Everything: How Wars Descend into Annihilation,” explores the systematic failures plaguing Los Angeles as it attempts to put out devastating wildfires.

From diversity, equity, and inclusion dilemmas to regulatory failures, see how this extreme ideology impacts good governance. “We have a $700,000-a-year utilities czar in Los Angeles, and she cannot explain why there was not enough water, at least in a convincing way—because she’s never had to, because she was ideologically correct.”

“You have an assistant fire chief who said, ‘If women can’t—if I can’t carry out a man [from a burning building], then that’s not on me. It’s the man who shouldn’t be there.’ It’s like saying if a child fell down a well and I’m not physically strong enough to retrieve him and save him, that’s his fault. He shouldn’t have been in the well.” “In the Los Angeles catastrophe, there are whole areas of imperial inquiry that are put off limits.

You cannot talk about the homeless and whether there was a homeless person who was out in the hills, [and] to get warm, lighted a fire. It’s a legitimate topic of inquiry. It’s happened. You can’t talk about.”
