LA Mayor Bass Still Denies ‘Home’ Access to Fire Victims

Keep it going LA, and you will turn your county “Red.” So how are things going LA way since Trump had his “happening” last week with the Mayor? Trump told Mayor Bass how to do it. So much for her words.

Los Angelinos who lost everything in the deadly fires are still being prevented from visiting their homes without a police escort, new video shows – despite the city’s mayor claiming last week that rebuilding could begin ‘right away’.

Grim video exposing LA Mayor Karen Bass’ lies to Trump that wildfires rebuilding can begin ‘right away’

Dave Harvilicz, 50, a resident from the ritzy Pacific Palisades enclave which was among the worst-hit areas, filmed himself speaking with US Army personnel who were still blocking access to his street on Saturday.

According to official interactive maps, the ongoing Palisades Fire has likely obliterated the California businessman’s $4 million four-bedroom, three-bath property to the ground – but he’s still not even been granted access to see it.

It followed Friday night assurances from Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass that residents would be able to start rebuilding ‘right away’ during a press conference where President Donald Trump scolded her about bureaucracy.

When pressed by residents about when they could start rebuilding, she said the city was doing ‘everything we can – slashing regulations, expediting everything, so that people can begin the process right away’, according to the New York Post.

For those lucky enough to have an RV, life isn’t looking much better with the bureaucracy. Two RV parks must limit stays due to county regulations-

They say they are going to change the rule – good luck.

Rob Sagginario, the general manager of the RV park’s private operator, said his hands were tied because the time limit is written into his lease with the county. He said the park has several wildfire victims staying there.

Ancona and Mathews’ experience highlights the nest of restrictions that can prevent displaced families from finding places to reside while they await rebuilding or search for a permanent home elsewhere. The rationale of rules set before the fires, such as allowing more people to access recreational areas, holds less sway now.

LA Mayor Karen Bass was once considered top VP choice …

Jan 11, 2025 — Prior to the wildfire crisis, both President Biden and former President Obama considered Democratic Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass one of the party’s rising star.

President Biden once considered Bass to be a top contender for his vice presidential running mate in 2020, while former President Barack Obama previously predicted that she would be an “outstanding mayor” of the city.

When Bass was a U.S. representative from California, the Biden campaign interviewed her as the then-Democratic candidate’s potential running mate. As Politico reported at the time, the campaign considered the lawmaker to be “persuasive but not flashy,” “trusted by progressives but still respected by Republicans,” and “passionate, yet not someone who would allow her own objectives to overshadow her responsibilities as Biden’s No. 2.”

Just think about it. Quite the “deep bench” of candidates.

LA 100 Fire Trucks Out of Service for Repairs, but Money for an Electric Fire Truck

No less than criminal one must conclude after seeing the interview of Fire Chief Crowley on CNN. No money to maintain over 100 fire trucks, but money for an electric fire truck you will learn. The first in the nation, they exclaim.

Breathtaking, the lack of concern for people and property. We hear that the Firemen from Mexico have arrived. Where are the federal forces that fight our national fires? Those tankers who are used during the fire season throughout the west? Are you telling me there are only two tanker planes, one of which has been down for most of the fire?

News Max:

Los Angeles Fire Department Chief Kristin Crowley confirmed that more than 100 fire trucks — over half the fleet — were in need of repairs and out of commission due to budget cuts when wildfires ravaged the area this week.

Crowley made the comments in an interview with CNN on Saturday, one day after asserting the city failed the department she commands, saying budget cuts eliminated civilian positions, like mechanics, that led to the trucks sitting idly in a parking lot.

The LAFD fleet has 183 fire trucks, the Daily Mail reported.

LAFD– Electric Pumper

The Rosenbauer RTX that rolled into Hollywood’s Station 82 is the first fully electric pumper — meaning it has hoses, pumps, and water tanks onboard — in North America. The short ranges that emergency vehicles travel in cities make them especially well-suited to electrification, but there’s a diesel range-extender onboard that can charge the battery for backup during longer calls.

It’s an important first from a noise and emissions perspective, but perhaps even more significantly, this engine is compact, more like a transit bus than a traditional fire truck. “Every single thing is different,” says Fields. “There’s nothing about it that’s like the rest of our fleet.” Because the truck is shorter and narrower — it doesn’t even have exterior mirrors — and has four-wheel steering, it’s much more

Los Angeles to cut water and power where large parties are held

One can only wonder how much more those who live in California will tolerate. I could ask how could this be legal and on what grounds. But this is in the land of fruits and nuts.

Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti said Wednesday that he is authorizing the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power to shut off utility service to properties where large parties and gatherings are held in violation of public safety orders.

Other than this all is well in the swamp.

President Obama Owes Los Angeles a Big Apology Over Traffic Jam

So Obama ties up traffic in LA for over three hours! So much for the fund raiser -how many votes did he lose with this stunt?

UPDATE: Over 11,000 of you folks have been gawking at the traffic  jam. come on. Someone figure it out!

I must admit, when I know, it wasn’t nice but….. for once Holyweird got a personal taste of this malignant narcissist that they love so well. It’s all about him. But then I read some of the comments made from the readers on her page and well, I had remorse. So here tis….

“This is the worst traffic jam I have ever seen in my life. I’ve been trapped here for over three hours because President Obama and a group of Hollywood insiders are having a fancy fundraiser.

Someone apparently decided that Obama’s $30,000-a-plate dinner at the house of “West Wing” producer John Wells necessitated shutting down most of the major east-west through streets in Los Angeles.

As of this writing, they are saying that large stretches of Olympic Boulevard will be shut until 9 p.m. I have also seen indications on the road and on the radio that huge portions of Pico and Santa Monica boulevards are also closed.

Those of you who are familiar with Los Angeles know that closing these three streets mean the entire city will be gridlocked. On LaPeer and Olympic, I was literally barricaded in on a small, residential block for over an hour with at least 50 people for over an hour.” Read more here at the wrap
