Power Bills Skyrocket – New Jersey to Maryland – Will it Doom Dems as “Green” Explodes

Energy prices are skyrocketing in the Mid- Atlantic thanks to the Democrat run governments and the chickens are now coming home to roost. What was clear to most intelligent thinkers is that with the Green New Deal starting to have results, the outcome was for told. So let’s hope this high cost of power bills sinks into the mid-term electorate and those who espouse the wonders of Green energy.

Zero Hedge:

A power bill crisis is gripping parts of the U.S. Mid-Atlantic and is set to worsen, threatening to financially crush households as long-range forecasts point to a brutally cold winter.

The common denominator in both states? A disastrous green energy agenda, pushed by radical leftist lawmakers, is dismantling reliable and cheap fossil fuel power generation in favor of unstable solar and wind. This has unleashed a power bill armageddon on working-class and middle-class households, as well as mom-and-pop businesses, all while baseload power demand surges in the era of AI data centers.

Fox News is beginning to latch onto the power bill crisis theme, starting with coverage of New Jersey residents who are absolutely furious over exploding power bills. This new development could severely damage the state’s Democratic leaders in the upcoming elections.

Perhaps Democratic Gov. Phil Murphy’s decision to shutter the state’s nuclear and coal plants, without a one-to-one replacement for lost capacity on the grid, was a catastrophic error that is only now coming home to roost. He also prioritized offshore wind farms and other green energy projects, which have left the grid more fragile than ever.

Let’s head three hours south down the I-95 corridor to Baltimore, Maryland, where far-left activist lawmakers, including Governor Westley Watende Omari Moore, who is being positioned for the party’s 2028 presidential run, have sparked a very similar power bill crisis.

Cut from the same climate-crisis-cult cloth, these Democratic leaders across the Mid-Atlantic states have failed voters with disastrous green policies.

In Maryland, the power bill crisis seems much more severe than in New Jersey!

California Refineries Shutting Down, CA Gas Prices Could Rise by 75% by the End of 2026

California after all wants to ban all gas powered cars as well as refineries.  “The state of California is currently suing major oil companies over alleged deception regarding the risks of climate change and fossil fuel combustion.”  Be careful what you wish for.

So the answer of course is to close up shop. Now Newsom has had second thoughts. No doubt he figures it won’t help his presidential race. Here is a classic example of foreseen consequences.

Zero Hedge:

California gas prices could skyrocket by as much as 75 percent by the end of 2026 with the expected shutdown of oil refineries in the state, according to an analysis released May 5 by a researcher at the University of Southern California (USC).

Two Phillips 66 refineries in Los Angeles—about 8 percent of the state’s oil refining capacity—are slated to close by the end of this year. Valero Energy Corp. also announced last month it will shut down or restructure its Benicia refinery in the San Francisco Bay area—which accounts for about 9 percent of refining capacity—by April 2026, increasing concerns over gas prices and supply.

The USC analysis states that based on current demand, consumption, state regulations, and other factors, the refinery closures could result in a potential 21 percent drop in refining capacity from 2023 to April 2026.

The state of California is currently suing major oil companies over alleged deception regarding the risks of climate change and fossil fuel combustion.

…..

(Newsom has had second thoughts about this. One of the answers? State takeover.)

Governor Urges Energy Commission to Take Action

In an April 21 letter, Gov. Gavin Newsom directed California Energy Commission (CEC) vice chair Siva Gunda to “redouble” the state’s efforts to work closely with oil companies to ensure a “safe, affordable, and reliable supply of transportation fuels, and that that refiners continue to see the value in serving the California market, even as demand for fossil fuels continues its gradual decline over the coming decades.”

The governor also referred to the CEC’s Transportation Fuels Assessment report, which lists a state takeover of oil refineries in California as one of several options, and directed Gunda to recommend “any changes in the state’s approach that are needed” by July 1.

Republican state Sen. Brian Jones from San Diego, the Senate minority leader, issued a May 6 statement citing the USC study and calling the refinery closures “a looming energy and economic crisis.”

“If the Governor doesn’t act now, Californians will be blindsided by sticker shock at the pump and skyrocketing prices on everyday goods,” Jones said.

In a May 6 letter to Newsom, Jones called for urgent measures to prevent further refinery closures and support long-term energy stability, such as investment tax credits or other relief from taxes and regulations.

So says the video:

California may lose two of the state’s major gasoline producers in the next 12 months. The departures could hasten the state’s push away from fossil fuels but make another problem worse: California’s high gasoline prices.

Meanwhile, Republican state Sen. Shannon Grove from Bakersfield urged the governor to increase new drilling permits to support in-state oil production instead of relying on “expensive foreign imports, often from hostile nations,” she told The Epoch Times.

New permits have plummeted 97 percent over the last five years, according to data from the California Department of Conservation. New drilling permits in the state dropped from 2,676 in 2019 to 86 in 2024.

“This is catastrophic for every Californian at the gas pump,” Grove said in an April 16 social media post.

“Refineries are shutting down or barely hanging on because they can’t get the oil they need to produce the gas used every day by California families.”

While we keep hearing “Drill Baby Drill” the loss of the ability to refine all this liquid gold puts a big dent in lowering the price.

Back in 2014 Bunk gave a warning. I doubt this has gotten any better, and I have not read of any new refineries.

Gavin Newsom Launches Methane Satellites as CA Health System goes Bankrupt

While the rest of us are expected to reimburse $40 Billion to the CA denizens for the fires that ravaged  their state, it’s up and away for tracking the evil methane gases. While it is claimed that Newsom is tracking to the right to prepare for his run for President next time around, he doubles down on bankrupting California.

By the way, Newsom also recently signed $50 million in spending to fight the administration’s policies and to provide legal assistance to illegal aliens who are resisting deportation.

Breitbart:

Governor Gavin Newsom announced Friday that the State of California will launch methane-detecting satellite sensors at a cost of $100 million — while it is borrowing over $6 billion to fill shortfalls in its health care system.

The Golden State is out of cash, and its Medicaid system, Medi-Cal, is reportedly insolvent thanks to Newom’s decision to expand free health care to illegal aliens. The state is also reeling from wildfires, homelessness, and crime.

Yet Newsom, who recently launched his own podcast, believes that the state has enough money to fund the launch of satellite sensors to track the local release of methane, a greenhouse gas, in an effort to reduce global emissions.

Ironically, California has emitted six times more carbon dioxide than any other state in the Union over the past 17 years, thanks to wildfires that have burned out of control partly due to the state’s failure to clear brush in forests.

Newsom announced the satellite launch as a dig against the Trump administration over climate change — even as he is also counting on President Donald Trump and the Republicans to provide $40 billion in aid for the California fires. In a statement, the governor’s office said:

The satellite project and the data acquired by it is made possible by a $100 million investment from the state’s Cap-and-Trade program. Already, one satellite has been launched with up to 7 more to be deployed.

The state will maintain a database and web portal to coordinate and document mitigation actions. While California does not own these satellites, state agencies will be able to select specific regions for observation. This data will also be available to communities to view methane mitigation efforts, education, and for outreach.

Last year, California followed through on a promise by former Governor Jerry Brown when a philanthropically-backed coalition, including the state, launched its ‘own damn satellite’ to help track dangerous pollutants like methane.

Just for the point of reference as to what this is all about, let’s slide back a few years and check out Bunks box of golden moment

United States Signs Commitment Placing Farmers Under Restrictions to Reduce Methane Gas.

The nations signing onto this pledge to transform their farm policies are the United States, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Chile, Czech Republic, Ecuador, Germany, Panama, Peru and Spain.

So it’s curious that, at the very time the globalists are warning about food shortages and famine, their mouthpieces at the World Bank, the U.N., and within the administrations of the U.S. and its allies (notice China and Russia are nowhere to be found in these preposterous anti-food policies), are talking about converting over to a new and unproven form of “sustainable” farming that’s focused more on reducing methane than it is on producing the highest yields of food.

What he really means in the tweet below is, 100 million free people and 900 million serfs and slaves, the few they decided to keep alive to serve them. The billions slated for removal are we “useless eaters” that automation will make idle, and the Elites don’t like free men. Too hard to control

MA State Energy Prices Skyrocket After Blocking Pipelines – Needed Russian Imports.

New England had to import a cargo of Russian liquefied natural gas, even though it is located just a few hundred miles from one of the largest natural gas fields in the world.

Now the people of the state are in an uproar over the high cost of heating their homes.

I caught this tweet yesterday, and Bunk could not resist going back to the box of golden posts from the past:

Gov.@maura_healey admits that part of our energy crisis is due to natural gas being hard to transport to MA. Yet in 2022, she bragged about blocking the pipelines that would have solved this. #Massachusetts families are paying the price for her #energy failures. #mapoli

An excellent example of just what has been allowed to happen that puts Americans at risk.

Even the Boston Globe opined that “Massachusetts’ reliance on imported gas from one of the world’s most threatened places is also a severe indictment of the state’s inward-looking environmental and climate policies.”

The recent winter’s unprecedented imports of Russian liquefied natural gas have already come under fire from Greater Boston’s Ukrainian-American community, because the majority shareholder of the firm that extracted the fuel has been sanctioned by the US government for its links to the war in eastern Ukraine and Russia’s illegal annexation of Crimea. Last week, in response to the outcry, a group of Massachusetts lawmakers, led by Senator Ed Markey, blasted the shipments and called on the federalgovernment to stop them.

From the post from the Boston Globe and well worth a read Our Russian ‘pipeline,’ and its ugly toll

Better yet, the Jones Act precludes Americans helping out other Americans:

The U.S. has several LNG export facilities that are already operational or will come online in the coming years. Why can’t we ship American LNG to Boston?

One reason is an antiquated federal law from 1920 – the Jones Act – that prohibits cargoes from being transported between U.S. ports unless they are carried on American-flagged ships.

The stupid thing:

There are about 150,000 miles of oil pipelines and more than 1.5 million miles of natural gas pipelines in theUnited States. ALREADY!

The U.S. Energy Information Administration recently announced that in 2017, for the first time since 1957, the U.S. exported more natural gas than it imported. But this stopped with Biden.

Feb 5, 2024 — President Biden’s liquefied natural gas (LNG) export ban puts politics over people. It jeopardizes the American economy and our energy security.

Yet, even as we become a global energy superpower, political barriers prevent us from maximizing the benefits of the shale revolution.

New England — located just a few hundred miles from the Marcellus Shale, one of the world’s largest natural gas fields — was forced to import a cargo of Russian liquefied natural gas. This was necessary because anti-energy activists have convinced local elected leaders to block new energy infrastructure, including pipelines that could bring American gas to the region. This is making households in the Northeast more dependent on imported energy, and forcing them to pay among the highest energy bills in the country. More at Washington Examiner

Here are a couple of sites where one can find out pipeline locations down to the county.

LA County Land Grab Coming – ‘They are Going to Turn Altedena into One Huge Apartment Complex’

LA 2.0. Does anyone really think that those cozy homes that dotted the landscape in the fire ravaged areas will return after Newsom and his pals get done with it?

Many of us who have endured the dreaded “Eminent Domain” action by the government, can’t help but find ourselves with a wry smile.  Their future is not likely going to be theirs.

Now is a chance to create the perfect little 500 square foot apartments. All made of ticky tack, 15 minute cities. The Progressive dream is at hand.

What does Newsom have to say? Well a lot of mumble … but

Perfect timing wouldn’t you say?

“They are going to turn Altadena into one gigantic apartment complex,” X user Bay Area State OF Mind said, referring to local officials who want to change zoning in the Altadena area from single-family to multi-family. In other words, some officials want to usher in the construction of apartment buildings and so-called ‘smart cities.’

Altadena (and other areas in L.A. County) could serve as a proof-of-concept for how the Democratic Party transforms single-family neighborhoods into apartment buildings in a world where citizens own nothing and will be happy

There is no question of the incompetency. Well documented. As Bunk posted this week, it turns out that half of the LA fire trucks were out for repair- over 100. No funds to repair them. But it does turn out they can afford an electric fire truck.

LA 100 Fire Trucks Out of Service for Repairs, but Money for an Electric Fire Truck

Los Angeles Fire Department Chief Kristin Crowley confirmed that more than 100 fire trucks — over half the fleet — were in need of repairs and out of commission due to budget cuts when wildfires ravaged the area this week.

Crowley made the comments in an interview with CNN on Saturday, one day after asserting the city failed the department she commands, saying budget cuts eliminated civilian positions, like mechanics, that led to the trucks sitting idly in a parking lot.

The LAFD fleet has 183 fire trucks, the Daily Mail reported.

Then we have the empty reservoir.

With many of these homes under insured or with no insurance, the banks will simply take possession. I would assume most of these homes have a mortgage. How many will simply walk away or is the Federal government going to make everyone whole? I would think not. In that case the banks will take possession. The worries over Land-Grab by outsiders more likely will be the banks.

Water water everywhere… but none in the reservoir.

Will the CA Fires Impact the Progressive Movement?

One would think this would about finish the Democrats in California. The “Migrants” have been starting fires for decades.

It’s not like the citizens haven’t been warned about their decisions regarding water management.

Unfortunately California thinks the rest of the country should live as they do. Let us hope a lesson has been learned. Biden? Biden is set to announce ANOTHER $500 MILLION to Ukraine while Los Angeles, California burns.

So let’s see how we got to this –

Then add this:

Bunkerville back in 2018.

Obama-Era Eco-Terrorism through Environmental Regulations

These Obama-era regulations introduced excessive layers of bureaucracy that blocked proper forest management and increased environmentalist litigation and costs — a result of far too many radical environmentalists, bureaucrats, Leftist politicians and judicial activists who would rather let forests burn than let anyone thin out overgrown trees or let professional loggers harvest usable timber left from beetle infestation, or selectively cut timber.

In a 2016 Townhall column, Paul Driessen explains:

Eco-purists want no cutting, no thinning – no using fire retardants in “sensitive” areas because the chemicals might get into streams that will be boiled away by conflagrations. They prevent homeowners from clearing brush around their homes, because it might provide cover or habitat for endangered species and other critters that will get incinerated or lose their forage, prey and habitats in the next blaze. They rarely alter their policies during drought years.

The resulting fires are not the “forest-rejuvenating” blazes of environmentalist lore. They are cauldron-hot conflagrations that exterminate wildlife habitats, roast bald eagle and spotted owl fledglings alive in their nests, boil away trout and trout streams, leave surviving animals to starve, and incinerate every living organism in already thin soils … that then get washed away during future downpours and snow

In September 2016, Governor Brown vetoed SB 1463, a bill in the California legislature which would have required the California Public Utilities Commission to prioritize areas at increased risk from overhead wires in their management of wildfires.

Then we had Brown slashing the forest management budget. Good move moonbeam.

Also note the infamous Delta Smelt budget was not cut… this endangered specie causing the water shutdown thus causing the drought in the lush farmland of  Central California.

Dr2n0ClV4AAVNDG

Governor Newson continued the absurd fire policies as his predecessor.

And the coup de grâce of California at its finest

More than 2 million people are being plunged into darkness as part of an unprecedented, orchestrated blackout across Northern California. But good luck finding out whether you’re one of them. Bloomberg’s Lynn Doan reports on “Bloomberg Markets.”

Meanwhile Trump has been talking about the fire dangers for years.

The Washinton Post has done numerous stories in the past about the migrants starting fires. Of course they wouldn’t run any stories these days. Just search the Washington Post for the stories in the past claiming it is a major cause.

IILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS FEEDING WILDFIRE EPIDEMIC IN CALIFORNIA

LOS ANGELES, JUNE 6 — Illegal immigrants who hike through the rugged forested mountains of eastern San Diego County after making it across the border are causing a dramatic surge in wildfires because of fires they light when camping out in the area, state and county officials said today.

In some cases, the illegal immigrants, hoping to use the isolation of the mountains to work their way north, are at serious risk of being hurt or killed by wildfires they helped start.

The number of wildfires in the region since January is already four times last year’s total, a frightening jump that has prompted the San Diego County Board of Supervisors to declare a state of emergency and ask President Clinton to deploy U.S. troops near the border to prevent the immigrants from entering the forests.

“It’s a disaster waiting to happen,” said Diane Jacob, a member of the Board of Supervisors representing eastern San Diego County. “I don’t think it’s a matter of if we have a major human catastrophe. It’s a case of when, if something isn’t done immediately.”

California to move forward with its ‘zero-emissions’ locomotives regulations

The EPA is on board. Forget that the grid in California is already stretched with brownouts. The weight of a choo choo train….and a battery is going to run this thing? Just when it can’t get more crazy. If mandated in California, one could assume it will effect most locomotives across the Nation. Are the old trains simply going to stop at the California border and turn around?

A comment made: Zero emissions locomotives, zero emissions trucks, zero emissions ships so just close all the California seaports — and airports too.
With zero emissions cars and light trucks too, California has seceded.
Nothing in, nothing out — except illegals in and refugees out.
Turn off the lights, most Californians will be starving to death in the dark.

This was a year ago when we were given a hint -(27 Apr 2023)

The California Air Resources Board has approved new rules to cut emissions and air pollution from diesel-powered trains. The railroad industry opposes the rules and questions whether California’s authorities to regulate trains.

What the heck, let’s get rid of all of them. Here’s what Nick Pope at the Daily Caller News Foundation reported yesterday:

The Biden administration could allow California to implement a rule designed to push green locomotives, but a growing list of stakeholders are warning that the regulation would severely impact the state’s economy and the national rail industry.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) could soon determine whether it will allow the California Air Resources Board (CARB) to move forward with a state regulation that would ban the use of locomotives that are more than 23 years past their manufacturing date unless they run using zero-emissions technology, according to Progressive Railroading.

According to the EPA’s notice in the Federal Register, the regulation’s “in-use locomotive operational requirement” allows only locomotives with an original engine build date that’s less than 23 years old to operate in California, excepting locomotives that meet the current cleanest EPA emission standards (currently Tier 4) for a locomotive of its type that are operated in a zero-emission configuration while in California, or that satisfy other specified conditions. The requirement goes into effect Jan. 1, 2030.

The rule also includes “spending account” provision that requires railroads and other locomotive operators to deposit funds into a restricted spending account to help pay for the zero-emissions locomotives.

The American Thinker continues the tale:

Now, as far as I can tell, “zero-emissions” locomotives are battery-powered trains; here’s this from a report by Alex Luvishis and published by a locomotive outlet last year:

Today, four types of zero- or low-emission locomotives are being developed. These are self-contained battery-electric, electric-battery (operating off overhead catenary or internal batteries), hydrogen fuel cell (HFC), and units with upgraded diesel engines using low-carbon renewable diesel or biodiesel, hydrogen/diesel blends, and even an ammonia/hydrogen blend.

Now, according to Union Pacific, diesel-powered locomotive engines pull “heavy axle rail cars…can handle up to 286,000 lbs. or 315,000 lbs. gross weight,” which is seemingly a ludicrous amount of weight, especially when you consider the limits of battery-powered vehicles.

Have you ever ridden an electric scooter or bike, relying exclusively on the battery of the vehicle to zoom around? I have, and after about 10–15 minutes of treating what was supposed to be a pedal-assist bicycle like a little moped and cruising at the top speed (30-ish mph), the battery-power was all used up—and I’m not a very heavy person. What will these trains transport? A couple of crates of apples? A few sacks of flour?

I mean, California already has electric semi-trucks, which as you can expect has been a total “cluster,” which would be laughable were it not so impactful; read about that here.

California’s electric semi mandate takes effect, leaving an expensive mess for the truckers and taxpayers

…A truck was also recently out of commission for an entire month, because Volvo recalled the battery (due to a “fire risk”) for replacement.

One of the drivers says that in his diesel-powered semi he could do six loads each day; with the battery-operated Volvo semi, he can do two per day, but he has to work overtime to achieve that goal. Even though he gets paid overtime, he makes $400 less per month because his commissions are lower.

..

Now think of what that does to inflation if that is done throughout the economy. Think of the supply chain disruptions and costs if drivers can only do one-third the number of loads, with loads that are far smaller. Think of how much more space would be needed for charging stations if all trucks and cars were electric.

Think of how much the power grid would have to be increased to support the green agenda. It is not financially feasible and there is no way alternative energy sources could handle this.

And the cost of electric semis dwarfs ($300k–$500k) the cost of diesel-powered ones ($70k–$150k); clearly, small companies will not be able to compete. The insurance, loans, leases, and depreciation costs will also jack up freight rates, which will affect all consumers.

Wacko Greenies Suing to Shut Down Power Plant Producing 9 Percent of California Energy

Almost ten percent of California’s energy comes from the last remaining Nuclear power plant, so let’s close it down since  “This is in a state where, according to EnergySage, residents already pay an average of $3,060 a year on their electricity bill — 34 percent higher than the national average.”

Let’s do it after a couple of Billion buckeroos have been spent on it to extend the life 5 years. Typical California where surly a friendly judge will be more than happy to go along with the thought to jettison the plant. Here are the details:

The Associated Press, an environmentalist group called Friends of the Earth is suing the U.S. Department of Energy over its decision to award funds to keep California’s last remaining nuclear power plant, Diablo Canyon, open.

The DOE awarded $1 billion to keep the plant open past its planned 2025 closure date after Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom said shuttering Diablo Canyon, which provides 9 percent of the state’s power, would leave California vulnerable to blackouts, according to regional conservative outlet The Center Square.

“As we experienced during the record heat wave last September, climate change-driven extreme events are causing unprecedented stress on our power grid — the Diablo Canyon Power Plant is important to support energy reliability as we accelerate progress towards achieving our clean energy and climate goals,” Newsom said in a 2023 statement.

In 2022, Newsom signed a bill to allocate $1.4 billion in loans to keep Diablo Canyon, located in San Luis Obispo, to extend its service life to 2030.

“Climate change is causing unprecedented stress on California’s energy system and I appreciate the Legislature’s action to maintain energy reliability as the state accelerates the transition to clean energy,” Newsom said at the time.

The move came after the state announced earlier in the year that it would ban sales of gas-powered cars by 2035; just days afterwards the California Independent System Operator, the non-profit organization which manages most of California’s energy grid, put the Golden State on notice that the stress charging electric vehicles would put on the grid would simply be too much to close a source of reliable, carbon-free energy generation.

CISO pleaded with EV owners to not charge their cars during “flex alerts” because it was “likely to strain the grid with increased energy demands, especially over the [Labor Day] holiday weekend.”

In January, the Biden administration chipped in $1.1 billion to extend the plant’s service life. So, naturally, the environmentalists sued, because reality doesn’t have to matter when you’re a privileged ideologue.

So let’s do the math. They are spending billions to keep the power plant open just to 2030?? The DOE on behalf of all Americans dumped $1 Billion into it. Newsom in 2022 authorized $1.4 Billion in loans. Add that Californians are paying some of the highest energy costs?

And in the bigger picture, recall when Bunk here offered this post back in 2022?

Biden Shuts Down 2 Nuclear Power Plants, 4 Hydroelectric Dams, 1 Refinery

Shutting down oil, coal and gas? Just getting started. One refinery in the Virgin Islands, Limetree Bay Refinery. Nuclear? Turkey Point outside of Miami. Peach Bottom in Pennsylvania. Four Hydroelectric dams in Southern Oregon and Northern California – The Klamath River Dams. The indications from the agencies are they are just getting started.

Add that to Biden’s yanking 77 small refineries biofuel waivers that now put them at risk for bankruptcy.

Crucifying Fossil Fuel – Religion Joins UN, WEF

Religious Leaders Join UN, WEF To Push the Global Climate Agenda.

A crescendo is building to a point soon that there will be no turning back. Now the major religions have joined in this climate change agenda adding to the flame that soon humans will sacrifice themselves including their wealth and their food sources, their children and ultimately their lives. No longer can we deny that we are losing this struggle.

Zero Hedge picks it up

In anticipation of the U.N. Paris Climate Conference in 2015, Buddhist, Hindu, Muslim, and Christian groups issued climate change declarations, marking a turning point in faith leader support for the global climate agenda.

The U.N. heralded the news of Pope Francis’s papal letter on climate change that year to all Roman Catholic bishops, titled Laudato Si.

The spiritual leader of 1.36 billion Catholics lent his considerable clout to saving the planet, lamenting that environmental degradation was hurting the world’s poorest citizens.

I urgently appeal, then, for a new dialogue about how we are shaping the future of our planet,” Pope Francis wrote.

Many religious leaders have joined U.N. officials in demanding that financial institutions stop funding fossil fuel projects.

Leaders of the World Council of Churches, Muslim Council of Elders, and New York Board of Rabbis released statements in 2021 and 2022 saying that banks, pension funds, and insurance firms had a “moral imperative” to stop investing in fossil fuels.

They pressured financial institutions to invest in so-called renewable energy for “children and future generations of life on earth.”

Michael O’Fallon is the founder of Sovereign Nations, a media website dedicated to the preservation of national sovereignty.

He spoke with The Epoch Times about what he sees as a sinister development.

The climate change agenda is part of the U.N. and WEF’s quest to govern the world’s energy and wealth, he said.

This is going to be all-encompassing. It’s going to change everything unless we completely stop it,” Mr. O’Fallon warned.

Climate change has become a ‘new religion’ – destroying our food sources.

Biden Missing in Action: 127 Nations Gather for Climate Change Conference.

Welcome to the world of alternative realities. The big shindig of 167 world leaders are preparing to gather in Dubai to discuss climate change. The man who is heading this thing up? The head of one of the world’s biggest oil companies has been named to lead the COP28 global climate talks in Dubai. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber is currently the chief executive officer of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company.

He is also the minister for industry and advanced technology for the COP28 hosts, the United Arab Emirates. And he plans on wheeling and dealing big time.

So while Sultan Jaber will be wheeling and dealing, Biden will not be attending. After the last gathering and looking foolish once more, his lackeys no doubt decided to bag this one. There was a time when our energy interests would have been front and center, but we apparently defer now to the UAE.

Who will attend? Of course Kerry will put his foot in his mouth and look to be the ass that he is. Craven John Podesta who will make sure 10 for the big guy(s) and whoever is needed to fill Biden’s re-election coffers. Add National Climate Advisor Ali Zaidi.

Also add some big time mayors – Bowser will do what she can to promote D.C. as a prime terrorist tourist location.

Washington, D.C., Mayor Muriel Bowser is facing criticism for taking a trip to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates and Qatar this week to discuss climate change and to promote D.C. as a tourist destination amid spiraling violent crimes throttling the nation’s capital.

Bowser’s office said Saturday that the mayor will depart Sunday for the Middle East “as part of the US Conference of Mayors delegation for the 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference.”

She will first visit Doha, Qatar to engage with leaders on the issues of infrastructure, sports and education, as well as promote Washington, DC as a destination for investment and tourism in partnership with the DC Chamber of Commerce,” her office continued in a press release.

The trip comes after the city recorded its 249th homicide for the year, the highest number of homicides since 2003. Homicides alone have spiked by 35% so far this year when compared to the same period in 2022, police data published Nov. 22 show.

Violent crime across the board has increased by 40% this year when compared to the same time last year.

Who is not going? President Biden…The United Arab Emirates planned to use its role as the host of UN climate talks as an opportunity to strike oil and gas deals, the BBC has learned. Leaked briefing documents reveal plans to discuss fossil fuel deals with 15 nations. Our interests apparently to take a back seat and not be represented.

BBC:

The documents – obtained by independent journalists at the Centre for Climate Reporting working alongside the BBC – were prepared by the UAE’s COP28 team for meetings with at least 27 foreign governments ahead of the COP28 summit, which starts on 30 November.

They included proposed “talking points”, such as one for China which says Adnoc, the UAE’s state oil company, is “willing to jointly evaluate international LNG [liquefied natural gas] opportunities” in Mozambique, Canada and Australia.

The documents suggest telling a Colombian minister that Adnoc “stands ready” to support Colombia to develop its fossil fuel resources.
