"Nature abhors a vacuum."
--Benedict Spinoza, Ethics
So he's the one who made that phrase popular. I like the cartoon Gary Larson did in "the Farside" with that phrase: a woman walking through the forest with a vacuum cleaner. Physics has always interested me, but it never came as naturally as some other subjects in school. I had fun playing tabletop "hockey" with my classmates with silver nitrate and our pencils :) Why does the element of danger make some things more exciting?;) That and curiosity will surely kill me some day...
"A lot of people mistake a short memory for a clear conscience."
--Doug Larson
That quote brings several people to mind... GRR. It's so disgusting when someone does something hurtful, then tells you they don't remember doing it when asked to stop. Okay, now I'm just making myself mad. Better think of the nice people in my life :) Thank goodness for them!!
"I will not let anyone walk through my mind with their dirty feet."
