Skated the day before yesterday and today :) Saw the most number of snowy egrets at one time in one place (12+), which distacted me so much that I skated into the shoulder of the trail and almost had a nasty spill--though it would have been worth it cuz I got to see their feet and how they walked on the pickleweed plants; a great egret; sharp-shinned hawk; 9 pelicans 2 days ago and 3 today (they seemed to "perform"); black phoebes; the usual shorebirds; lots of coots; some cormorants; grebes; mourning doves; chestnut-backed chikadees; and a lone crow. Beautiful sunset as usual.
