I just got back from the iCastMusic show with M-Pact, Speedzoo, Hookslide, and Talk of the Town (in order of personal affinity). It was superb. I’ve already been bitten by Fishbone too. That bunny! Oh, well, she’s a cutie, so I can’t seem to help but forgive anything she does; that’s how it is with all bunnies J I am tired, but there’s music playing in my head. I was a big doofus today because I was late to Kathy’s. I got to her house at 4pm instead of 3:30pm, so she couldn’t swing by her office and the bank before going up to Berkeley. It wouldn’t matter so much if the main purpose of doing that wasn’t to pick up her M-Pact CD to take up to the show to get autographs. I don’t know why, but I thought we’d have time if I got to her house by 3:50pm. My brain’s a total mess. I suck!!
Lyle’s on icq!
I talked with Lyle via icq until 7am! That was the longest talk I’ve had with him, I think. I wish I could be of more help. I got to chat with Jason and Kevin for a little too with AOL IM. Right now I’m chatting with Desmond in Toronto. He seems like a nice person. He’s 17. I “met” him on isketch.net. It’s interesting -- he wants to be 27 years old so he’s out of school and ready to settle down and get married. He thinks it’s the best age to be. He’s showing me some really cool sites. It’s making me feel better, looking at these amazing pieces of work. Wow. I wish I could do stuff like that (sigh). Rustedfaith.com and topazdesign.com. Good stuff.
I let Fishbone out and she’s busy eating and pooping now.

On 4/6 after I met with Lyle, I went to Christine and Brian's apartment to pick up Pepper. I stayed longer than expected because Christine and I let Pepper out in Brian's room and we talked a little. When I left it was raining.
I got home and looked up Woodside High School on Yahoo maps. Unfortunately, I looked up Woodside the city first and then searched for the high school, so I went to the wrong Woodside High. It turned out that the right one was Woodside Priori(?) High School in Portola Valley. I didn't find this out until I spent an hour in Woodside looking for the right place. I walked all over the high school and asked the custodian, coaches, students, any one I saw. No one had heard of M-Pact :( I even drove over to Woodside Elementary. I got hopeful when I heard music, but it was just a dance party. I called Kathy's and Mom serveral times to see if she left any messages for me. I drove back to the high school and talked to a police officer there. Disheartened, I drove home.
Once home, I went online again and this time looked up Woodside High School in the main search area. It led me to the high schools website. I saw M-Pact on the page, so I new this was the right one. When I scrolled all the way to the bottom of the page, there was the address, in Portola Valley. So, I wrote the directions and headed out again since it was still 8:40pm, it'll take me 20min to get there, and I figured the show would go till 10pm.Off I went, with hope again, though very tired. It took a u-turn, but I almost made it as far as the Arasterdero/Alpine intersection before I pulled into the Inn at Alpine and asked for directions. There was a jovial man who told me I was almost there and how to get to the high school. Then he asked why I wanted to go there at this time, was there a show or something? So I told him, yes, an a capella show. His face lit up and he started singing in German, "Deustschland, Deutschland, uber alles..." He was in a local a capella group and so was the man sitting near by. If I ever go that way again, I'll look for him :)
Well, so I got to the high school at 9:05pm--just as the group was wrapping up! :( I was disappointed that I missed the whole thing. Kathy and Carlo assured me that if I was ever going to miss a show by M-Pact, this was the one. Apparently they weren't too good that night. I paid Carlo for the ticket and borrowed $20 from Kathy to get the M-Pact:2 CD (what logic is that?). I got Jake, Marco, Brit, and Trist to sign the CD :) Guess it was disappointing, but not entirely.

I need to go back and give flowers or something to the kind man who helped me find my way home from Kathy's last night when an accident completely blocked off the usual freeway entrance I take. He's at the market store by Oakland Rd and Gish Rd.
There's also the man at the gas station by the Chili's off of 237 close to 880. I need to look that up on the map.
