Sigh. My computer crashed again and I lost another journal entry. so, finally, I've decided to type up things on the desktop notebook and copy and paste it onto LiveJournal. My computer should never crash if it's only running the Note Pad program, right???
TODAY'S BIG NEWS is Dinky, my beautiful, navy, 1998 Isuzu I-Mark. Dinky's back and doing great. He has a new (used) transmission , new axels, and got an oil change and tune up. Dinky is magic. The mechanics told me that the axels could have blown off at any time while on the freeway and laughed. They told me that over a year ago too, but I hadn't done anything about it. Heh. Leader Auto gets to take care of all 7 of our cars, so we're regular customers. Dad trusts the guy there (a rarity) although he comments that the mechanic says a lot of perverted things jokingly in Cantonese. I praised Dinks all the way home for being such a good car. I owe Mom $1040 for all the work on Dinky.
Last night I went to Kathy's to talk about her plans for her back yard. I really need to study plant nomenclature more. I'm so terrible with plant names. She's got all the plants that she currently has all organized on her spreadsheet. That's another thing I should use more often too (Excel). She's an Excel wiz. Carlo made us macaroni and cheese with sausages mixed in. It was good. I hope Carlo had enough for himself.
This morning Carlo called around 11:30am to ask if I wanted to join him and Kathy for dim-sum lunch. I was groggy and was feeling miserable, so I declined. This morning was horrible! I woke up at 7am, let Fishbone out, ate 2 tortillas and a banana, and crept up into bed again. What a miserable few hours. At least Fishbone was happy to be let out for 2 continuous hours. She sure licks me a lot these days. I finally really got up around 2pm though I still felt in the dumps.
TROPICAL FISH UPDATE: the Pleco (named Tsuyoshi-kun after my cousin in Japan who has big lips) is getting bigger and bigger at an amazing rate. I think he's about twice as big as he was when we first got him. He's so fun to look at. The orange and white barb is aggressive as usual, attacking the kissing gourmy and other barbs all the time. Why does it have to be so mean? The yellow gourmys sometimes chase the kissing gourmy, but as soon as the kissing gourmy swims away, they stop chasing--the barb won't. What a dork.
