Katy ISD is helping students stay energized and ready for summer activities through its Summer Food Service Program, which provides free breakfast and lunch meals to children 18 years old and younger, regardless of enrollment status. Children must be present to obtain a free meal and are not required to show identification or be Katy ISD students. Parents are welcome to purchase a meal to enjoy with their children.

When a community member collapsed and needed immediate medical attention, Paetow High School senior Olivia Hanawalt didn’t hesitate. Moving past a crowd of bystanders, she took control of the scene and provided critical aid until other first responders arrived.
