Twenty-seven Katy ISD seniors have earned prestigious college-sponsored National Merit Scholarships, placing them among the nation’s most academically accomplished students and further reinforcing the District’s reputation for academic excellence.
Katy ISD is helping students stay energized and ready for summer activities through its Summer Food Service Program, which provides free breakfast and lunch meals to children 18 years old and younger, regardless of enrollment status. Children must be present to obtain a free meal and are not required to show identification or be Katy ISD students. Parents are welcome to purchase a meal to enjoy with their children.
From concert halls and theater stages to art studios and dance studios, 272 Katy ISD seniors are taking their talents to the collegiate level after being recognized during the District’s annual fine arts signing celebrations.
Pole vaulting at a high level requires a combination of speed, strength and trusting the techniques that take practice, repetition and refinement. Conquering these attributes, Cinco Ranch High School’s Breeana Borresen has proven herself as one of the top pole vaulters in the nation and gained confidence with each competition.
Representing the exceptional Class of 2026, Katy ISD proudly recognizes this year’s valedictorians and salutatorians, students who have excelled academically while distinguishing themselves among the nation’s top young scholars.
Katy ISD celebrated the achievements of its top seniors during the District’s annual Student Awards of Excellence, recognizing dozens of students for outstanding academic performance, leadership and dedication throughout the school year.
