    HELP FROM ABOVE

    REV. AROME E. TOKULA

    Psalms 121:2 (TPT)
2 I LOOK UP to the mountains and hills, LONGING FOR GOD’S HELP. But then I REALIZE that our TRUE HELP and protection come ONLY FROM THE LORD, our Creator who made the heavens and the earth.

Nobody makes it through life and becomes all that God wants him/her to become without the help of another person and I'm a testimony of a man whom God has marvelously helped!

It was a pitiful place to be when that sick impotent man at the pool of Bethesda told Jesus in John 5:7, “… Sir, I HAVE NO MAN to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.”

It is abnormal when a child of God finds himself or herself in a place without help. That place where you don't have anybody to help you or where the needed help is delayed or denied. This is the reason it is important to position yourself in a place where you can constantly receive and enjoy the help that comes from God - from above!

You have to stop looking for help in the wrong places where you will never find it. To receive and enjoy God's help, you must turn your eyes completely to Him alone like we see the Psalmist doing in our text. The Psalmist saw the mountains that surrounded Jerusalem but refused to put his trust in them but rather wholly in God! The truth is, without God, the help of man is vain!

Isaiah 31:1 says, “Woe to THOSE WHO GO DOWN TO EGYPT FOR HELP, and RELY on HORSES, who TRUST IN CHARIOTS because THEY ARE MANY, and IN HORSEMEN because they ARE VERY STRONG, but who do not LOOK to the Holy One of Israel, nor SEEK THE LORD!” Who are you looking up to in your heart?

The king told the woman who cried to him for help during the famine 2 Kings 6:27 (MSG), “...If GOD won’t help you, where on earth can I go for help? To the granary? To the dairy?”

When you look completely to God especially in the place of prayer and praise, He raises help for you, sometimes from least expected sources!

When your confidence is rested solely on God, you'll begin to see Him raise people from all over to come and help you because true help is from above!

    DECLARE
Father, my eyes are upon You! I look to You because You're my Help, strength, and comfort. Thank You Holy Spirit my Helper, I can do all things because you empower me. I receive today all the associations needed to move me to the next level. I receive help today in Jesus' Name.

    STEP OFF THE SHORES

    REV. AROME E. TOKULA

    Psalms 107:23-24
23 Those who go down to the sea in ships, who DO BUSINESS on GREAT WATERS,
24 THEY SEE THE WORKS of the LORD, and HIS WONDERS in the deep.

Many are afraid of stepping off the shores into the deep ‘oceans’ of life in order to do business with God’s Word. They are fearful and will not dare to act by giving motion to their faith and because of that they don’t get the big ‘catch.'

God is calling us to come off the shores of life and take an adventure of faith by acting upon His Word.

When you have a revelation of the nature and character of God it won’t be ‘hard’ to trust what He says because faith isn’t a leap in the dark but a leap on the Word of God. This is exactly what Peter did when Jesus told him to come. Peter acted upon Jesus’ Word and walked on water (Matthew 14:19-20). There were no ‘ifs’ and ‘buts’ for Peter!

What made Peter walk on water in simple faith was because he knew the character of Jesus. He knew that Jesus could be trusted and that He wouldn’t lie to him. Though it didn’t make sense to walk on water, Peter acted on the Words from the mouth of Jesus. This is why you must understand that faith isn’t a mechanical process that we follow but the result of a relationship we enjoy. Your faith is strengthened in the place of fellowship because you cannot trust who you do not know.

Peter said, “… Lord, IF IT IS YOU, command me to come to You ON THE WATER,” so Jesus said, “Come!” (Matthew 14:28-29). It had to be Jesus “not someone else” for Peter to step out of that boat. Those who know their God are strong and they do exploits (Daniel 11:32).

It is important as a child of God that every day you have special moments of devotion spent alone in fellowship with God. I call these moments ‘private devotion’ while some call it ‘quiet time.’ It is a time to be alone with God in meditation in His Word as you allow His Words to become personal to you. This is where faith is born. Without times like these, the life of faith will be a struggle.

When you know that God’s Word is the very Word of God speaking to you, it won’t be a struggle to act upon His Word like you would the word of your financial advisor, doctor, or coach. Like we see in our text, it is those who do business in ‘great’ waters that see the wonders of God! If you want to see the wonders, then stop playing safe! Do what He says to do!

Step off the shores today into the deep waters and experience new levels of victory.

    DECLARE
There are no impossibilities because the Word of God is my foundation for life. I know my Father and my faith is strengthened to act upon His Word. Thank You Father because Your Word can be depended upon because they are spoken from Your lips. I believe that I am healed, blessed, and favored in all that I do in Jesus' Name.

    A BLANK CHECK

    REV. AROME E. TOKULA

John 15:7 (AMP) - If you REMAIN IN ME and MY WORDS REMAIN IN YOU [that is, if we are VITALLY UNITED and My message lives in your heart], ask WHATEVER YOU WISH and it will be done for you.

In the earlier days of my walk with God; because of the things I was taught, I felt that serving God was going to be a boring religious walk but I came to discover that it is actually an adventure of faith!

When you receive the life of God you are actually given the liberty to dream and see your dreams come to pass! As you grow and mature in fellowship with God, you will come to discover that He literally gives you a blank check to fill because you will find your heart resonating with Him. While it is true that Jesus said in Matthew 7:14 that, “… NARROW is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there ARE FEW who find it,” we must never forget that it is not a ‘narrow life’ in itself; it is ‘the way’ that leads to this amazing and glorious life that is narrow! It is narrow and difficult because it leaves men with no option except Christ Jesus as the way! While many religions believe there are different ways to God, we know as believers that Jesus is the only way to God and many find it ‘difficult’ to accept this simple truth.

There is nothing small about the life of a child of God because it is only in God that you can see all your dreams come to fulfillment. Paul told the church in Corinth, “We didn't fence you in. The SMALLNESS you feel comes from WITHIN YOU. Your LIVES AREN'T SMALL, but you're LIVING THEM IN A SMALL WAY” (2 Corinthians 6:12 MSG). We live our lives in small ways when we don't dream big and our text gives us a pathway to having big dreams and seeing the coming to pass.

The day you get born again, you are ‘legally’ united with God, but you become ‘vitally’ united with Him as you crave, practice and stay in His presence through prayer and the study and meditation of the Word. The same way two people legally become married when they say, “I do’' but begin to enjoy the vital benefits of that relationship as they fellowship with each other on a daily basis!

When you are vitally connected to God in fellowship through His Word, He gives you a blank check called, “…  WHATEVER YOU WISH…” because your wish cannot be outside His will and purpose for your life! Literally, God makes Himself vulnerable to your desires when you are united with Him in thought, purpose and will. The secret to accurately filling this blank check is to be in constant fellowship with God.

    PRAYER
Father, teach me to know You better each passing day as I look into Your Word and stay with You in fellowship. I want my heart to beat with Yours because I know that as I abide in You, I have and receive in full all that my heart desires in Jesus mighty name.

“As long as earth exists there will always be seasons of planting and harvest….” Genesis‬ ‭8‬:‭22‬ ‭TPT‬‬. This is the promise of my heavenly Father. When I visit our wheat farm, I am reminded of God’s faithfulness to His Word.

I have no idea how all the activities come together to produce a harvest but I trust the process and so must you. Do everything you can do, the way you know to do it. Paul said “I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase.” 1 Corinthians 3‬:‭6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬. So it’s with gratitude to God that I can say, we planted, the irrigators’ watered but my Father gave the increase. Harvest mode loading. The fields are already white. THANK YOU JESUS FOR THE HARVEST.

    SATAN HAS BEEN DISARMED

    REV. AROME E. TOKULA

Colossians 2:15 - Having DISARMED PRINCIPALITIES AND POWERS, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.

An unhealthy picture and image of the devil can cause believers to wait and wallow in defeat and shame! The image of Satan that you have should be that which is painted by the Word of God in the New Testament! Your picture of satan cannot be from books or testimonies based on the experiences of others because whatever they say outside the Word of God is a lie. John 8:44 (TPT) says that the devil is, “… FULL OF NOTHING BUT LIES—lying is his native tongue. He is a master of deception and the father of lies!’

The truth of God’s Word according to our text tells is that the devil has been disarmed! When an armed person is disarmed, it means the person no longer has what it takes to oppress, intimidate, and afflict harm again. In the same way, the devil is no longer armed with anything with which he can hurt you again! He doesn’t have anything to harm you with!

The devil’s chief arm with which to oppressed man was the power of death. No wonder Hebrews 2:14 says, “Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who HAD the POWER OF DEATH, that is, the devil.” Notice that scripture says, “… who HAD…” because he no longer has the power of death! Glory to God!

When John saw the resurrected Jesus on the island of Patmos in Revelation 1:18 He said to him, “I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the KEYS OF HADES and of DEATH.” Jesus now holds the authority of death and hell (hades) and that authority has been given to the believer! Jesus gave it to the believer and commissioned the church in Matthew 28:18 (TPT) saying, “… ALL AUTHORITY of the universe has been given to me,” then in Mark 16:17 He says, “And these signs will follow those who believe: IN MY NAME they will CAST OUT DEMONS; they will speak with new tongues.”

Until you start seeing the devil as a defeated personality, you'll struggle to wield your God given authority in Christ over him. Jesus has given you His name and that is what it takes to walk and live in victory! See the devil as the bible says and walk in victory in Jesus name!

    DECLARE
In Christ Jesus I stand victorious over all the works of the devil. Jesus in His death, burial and resurrection stripped the devil of his authority and gave me the authority to walk in victory over every demon and devil in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. In His name I rule and reign over every assault of the enemy because victory is mine!

    BLOOD BROTHERS

    REV. AROME E. TOKULA

Proverbs 18:24 - A man who has friends must himself be friendly, but there is A FRIEND who sticks closer than a brother.

Being a Christian in church is not a social gathering of some very nice people who have decided to do only good. It is a spiritual brotherhood! 1 Peter 2:17 says, “Honor all people. LOVE THE BROTHERHOOD. Fear God. Honor the king.” There is blood involved in our fellowship with God and one another and it is the blood of Jesus. Hebrews 12:24 says that we have come,
“… to the BLOOD OF SPRINKLING that speaks better things than that of Abel.”

The spirituality of our faith is that we are in a blood covenant with Jesus and our fellow believers, and this is what makes us impervious to the works of darkness.

Today’s text says, “… there is a friend who STICKS CLOSER than a brother.” To fully understand and appreciate the text, you’ll have to read it through the lens of the culture and the times in which it was written.

A bible commentary had this to say:

In Bible days, when two people would become ‘friends,’ they participated in a ceremony where they cut themselves, took the blood, and commingled each other’s blood. After the ceremony, the two were called “friends.” The word ‘friend’ as used in Proverbs 18:24 meant “Covenant friend” or “blood brother.” It implied the union of two people in a blood covenant and this covenant remained in effect until both covenant friends died. When one of the covenant friends died, the other extended the benefits and blessings of the covenant to the family of the deceased covenant friend. A blood brother is not someone that you share the same womb with but someone that you are in covenant with by blood.

So, Proverbs 18:24 can be read as “… but there is a BLOOD BROTHER who sticks closer than a brother.” The word ‘stick’ means ‘to hold up,’ and it speaks of loyalty, commitment, and devotion resulting in life and preservation. Deuteronomy 4:4 says, “But you who HELD FAST to the Lord your God ARE ALIVE today, every one of you.”

Jesus is our friend that sticks closer than a brother. He gave His blood for us! We are His blood brothers! Through faith in His shed blood, we have become blood brothers with Him. Ephesians 2:13 says, “But now IN CHRIST JESUS, you (Arome) who once were far away have been BROUGHT NEAR BY THE BLOOD OF CHRIST” [Emphasis mine]. The blood of Jesus has brought us near! We are no longer outsiders. We are insiders because there is blood between Jesus and us!

As you go out today, I want you to be conscious of the covenant that you have with Jesus! His blood flows through your veins. Be conscious of His blood (life) that was shed for you and live victoriously over anything the devil throws at you! Remember that your blood brother will never leave you nor forsake you!

    DECLARE
I am in covenant with Jesus. He is my blood brother! His life is my life. I am a partaker of His blood and there is no way I can lose! I declare today that the blood is my insurance against any plague, disaster, or evil that may come my way! My life is driven by the power of His blood and I am victorious in Jesus' Name!

A bible commentary had this to say: In Bible days, when two people would become ‘friends,’ they participated in a ceremony where they cut themselves, took the blood, and commingled each other’s blood. Deuteronomy 4:4 says, “But you who HELD FAST to the Lord your God ARE ALIVE today, every one of you.” Jesus is our friend that sticks closer than a brother. DECLARE I am in covenant with Jesus. He is my blood brother! His life is my life. I am a partaker of His blood and there is no way I can lose! I declare today that the blood is my insurance against any plague, disaster, or evil that may come my way! My life is driven by the power of His blood and I am victorious in Jesus' Name! PONDER Jesus is our friend that sticks closer than a brother. He gave His blood for us! We are blood brothers! #IOFWithPastorArome #MorningDevotion #Euphoria #Devotional #March #MonthOfTheSpirit #2026_RevelationAndUprise

    THE SPIRIT OF HONOUR

    REV. AROME E. TOKULA

Isaiah 11:3 (TPT) - He will find his delight in living by the SPIRIT OF THE FEAR of the Lord. He will neither JUDGE by APPEARANCES nor MAKE HIS DECISIONS based on RUMOURS.

The anointing of God’s Spirit will cause you to walk in the fear of God. The fear of God is not the same thing as being afraid of God because there's no fear in God!

This anointing brings holy reverence for God in your life such that you live in honour before God. In our text, it was prophesied that Jesus would walk in this anointing, and He did. Jesus said in John 5:19 (TPT), “... I speak to you timeless truth. The Son is not able to do ANYTHING FROM HIMSELF or THROUGH MY OWN INITIATIVE. I only do the works that I see the Father doing, for the Son does THE SAME WORKS as his Father.”

It isn't like Jesus didn't have initiatives, but He submitted His will to the will of the Father out of honour for the Father because He knew the Father loved Him. His decisions were more than 'good’ decisions; they were God’s decisions.

Some people by making wrong decisions have ruined and removed themselves from God’s plan and purposes for their lives because you can't walk with God on your own terms. As you in honour to God, He’ll teach you to ‘wait' for Him such that your 'judgements’ or decisions will not be based on appearances and rumors i.e. trends?

You don’t have to be like King Saul who lost out on God’s plans when in 1 Samuel 15 he was instructed through Samuel to go to war against the Amalekites and destroy them COMPLETELY. Saul went to war, but didn't destroy them COMPLETELY. He spared King Agag and brought some of the ‘choicest’ animals as spoils. When the prophet Samuel confronted him, his answer in 1 Samuel 15:15 was, “... the PEOPLE spared the BEST of the sheep and the oxen, to SACRIFICE to the LORD YOUR GOD; and the rest we have utterly destroyed.” Saul was a king who preferred to listen to the people rather than God. Keeping the best to make sacrifices to God doesn't justify disobedience in any way. The prophet told him, “… Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice…” (1 Samuel 15:22-23)

Saul lost out on God’s plans and purposes for his life because he would rather do a 'good’ thing than God’s thing. He followed the trend but with God, simple obedience is better than great sacrifices. Unlike David who would quickly repent and do God’s will, the bible says in 1 Samuel 15:30 (MSG) that Saul told Samuel, "... I have SINNED. But don't abandon me! SUPPORT me with your presence BEFORE THE LEADERS and THE PEOPLE. Come alongside me as I go back to worship GOD."

For Saul, it was always about appearances and trends. Jesus said in John 4:34, “... My food is TO DO THE WILL OF HIM WHO SENT ME, and to finish His work” because His greatest satisfaction was found in being right in the center of the Father’s will.

Avoid appearances and trends and yield to this Spirit of honour that is resident in your in the person of the Holy Spirit because this is where true success begins!

    DECLARE
I am totally and completely submitted to the will of the Father for my life. My one desire is to be right in the middle of His will and be found doing that which pleases Him. I have found my greatest fulfillment because I am in the very will of the Father doing that which pleases Him. I choose to walk in the Spirit of honour and fear of the Lord in Jesus’ Name.

  • CONTEXT IN DISCIPLINE
When you lead with instructions, people wait to be told.
When you lead with context, people start thinking…. (Jimmy Khoury) . I got this quote from Jimmy Khoury, one of my connections on LinkedIn and it reminded me of something that happened at home and how I handled it. It reminded me about “context in discipline “

My youngest is turning 14 in a few months. I usually don’t encourage children getting phones early but his older siblings prevailed on me and I let him have one after more than a year of pleading. Well he knows he shouldn’t take his phone to school (that’s an instruction from home and school). I travelled out of town and he called to tell me his phone was seized in school. The principal had it and he was asking me to please get it back.
Of course we talked. I reminded him of the instructions that were laid down and he apologized. However I told him that what he had done is proof he is not yet responsible enough to own a phone. He had a tool to use responsibly but for whatever reason, most likely peer pressure, he had to take his phone to school; maybe to prove something. And I explained to him that a phone is something that should benefit him and not a tool to go against constituted authority or to distract him. I said to him “maybe you’re not ready for a phone yet.” In a few word, I told him that I want him to grow up doing what is right even if he’s standing alone. He doesn’t have to be pressured to follow the crowd.” The phone had obviously become a distraction and I wanted him to get his priorities right. He will get a phone when I see that he is responsible enough to use one. I actually wanted him to think about his choices. What’s your take?

    GOD HAS FOUND YOUR RANSOM

    REV. AROME E. TOKULA

    Job 33:23-24
23 “If there is a messenger for him, A MEDIATOR, one among a thousand, to SHOW MAN HIS UPRIGHTNESS,*
24 Then He is GRACIOUS TO HIM, and says, ‘Deliver him from going down to the Pit; I HAVE FOUND A RANSOM.’”

The fall of man in the garden of Eden necessitated a mediator! Man needed a priest (a mediator) to stand in the gap for him and be his go-between and it is interesting to note that God was man's first priest. Genesis 3:21 (TPT) says, “Yahweh-God made garments from ANIMAL SKINS to clothe Adam and Eve.” This was God performing priestly duties for Adam and Eve! Like the good Father that He is, he wasn’t out to expose their nakedness, rather He wanted them covered because, “… LOVE will COVER a multitude of SINS” (1 Peter 4:8).

As Adam’s Priest, God made atonement for him; a perfect covering through the sacrifice of an innocent animal in the garden which is a type of Jesus – the guiltless One who took our place and paid for our sins.

Reading about Job’s ordeal and the many things he suffered; one might want to accept whatever the devil throws at him/her as their lot in life but a careful study of the book of Job reveals that Job’s ordeal was because he didn’t have a mediator! The gap between fallen man and God is so wide that without a mediator man would be hopeless and for Job, scripture says he didn't have one who will stand in for him, plead His case and avert judgment. In Job 9:33-34 (MSG) he prayed,
33 How I wish we had an ARBITRATOR to step in and LET ME GET ON WITH LIFE
34 To BREAK GOD'S DEATH GRIP ON ME, to free me from this terror so I could breathe again.”

Your case doesn’t have to be like Job because you have an arbitrator (mediator) in the man Jesus! 1 Timothy 2:5 says, “For there is one God and one MEDIATOR between God and men, THE MAN CHRIST JESUS.” According to our text, the work of a mediator is to show man his righteousness and Jesus is the only person that presents us qualified before the Father and truly shows us that we are righteous and upright (2 Corinthians 5:21; Colossians 1:22).

Our text says, “Then He is GRACIOUS TO HIM, and says, ‘Deliver him from going down to the Pit; I HAVE FOUND A RANSOM’” (Job 33:24). Where God sees a ransom, His grace goes to work. God is gracious to us because of Jesus. While we find a mediator in Jesus who shows us our righteousness which He has given to us, God looks at Jesus and He sees a ransom who He offered for us! Because God has found a ransom, you are delivered from every form of harm and danger. Be ever conscious of your mediator in very situation and enjoy total deliverance today because God has found a ransom for you!

    DECLARE
I am not without hope in this world because Jesus is my ransom who has delivered me from evil and averted the justice due me. Thank You Lord Jesus for stepping in and taking my place on the cross; now I look to You and live. The power of death over my life is broken in Jesus name

    ‭‭Song of Songs‬ ‭7‬:‭1‬ ‭TPT‬‬

The description of the carriers of the gospel from Songs of Solomon is so beautiful Oh!! How beautiful are the feet of those who carry the gospel as they go. They are royalty. Their walk is graceful and dignified. They are the poetry of God.

Good news is like refreshing waters to a man in the desert. Good news to the dead is the news of life and resurrection, It is the news of healing and wholeness to the sick. Good news to the heartbroken is news that mends the heart.

The GOSPEL is the GOOD NEWS of salvation. It is the good news of redemption. It is the good news of a Savior whose unquenchable love drove him to pour out his life just to redeem the ones he loves. It is the good news of mercy that overturned judgment because His blood speaks.

I carry the good news of our Heavenly Father whose arms are wide open to welcome the sinner who says I want to return home. The good news of the God who first loved man, and still does. I am a carrier of Goodnews. The only thing that can set this world free from the shackles of death and darkness is the gospel because IT IS GOOD NEWS.

    PUT IT IN JESUS’ HANDS

    REV. AROME E. TOKULA

Luke 9:16 (MSG) - He took the five loaves and two fish, lifted his face to heaven in prayer, BLESSED, broke, and gave the bread and fish to the disciples to hand out to the crowd.

Like Jesus, resources can multiply in your hands. The Bible says that Jesus lifted that little boy’s lunch of five loaves and two fish to heaven in prayer and ‘blessed’ it!

The word “bless” means to “give thanks.” Be thankful to God for what He has given you because you can’t complain or murmur your way up! Thank Him for that job that you have. If you are a volunteer in an establishment, be grateful to Him that you have an opportunity to volunteer and contribute to that establishment. It is no different when we give our offerings and sow our seeds. Be thankful! See the anointing of God coming upon it to multiply it.

When you spend quality time in prayer daily looking at the sacrifice of Jesus and lifting whatever you have – it could be a business, career, a project, a seed – to God, the supernatural power and ability of God will come upon it to multiply it. It will amaze you what God will do with what you yield to Him.

Alvin Slaughter sang, “What’s that you have in your hands, I can use it if you’re willing to lose it.”

The beauty of the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ is that whatever we have comes from Him. 1 Corinthians 4:7 (MSG) says, “… Isn't EVERYTHING YOU HAVE and EVERYTHING YOU ARE SHEER GIFTS from God?” Our callings, abilities, talents, and even material things are all ‘sheer gifts’ from God. They are nothing that we worked for!

These things that have been given to you can increase and become a major blessing to many if you learn to put them in God’s hands. Whatever God gives you remains yours until you willingly lift it to Him. God lays no forceful claim on anything He gives you unless you yield it to Him. Peter told Ananias and Sapphira in Acts 5:4 (MSG), “… Before you sold it, it was all yours, and after you sold it, THE MONEY WAS yours TO DO WITH AS YOU WISHED.” Peter wanted them to know that they didn’t have to lie because the land and the proceeds were theirs even though everything comes from God! It’s your volition what to do with what God gives you.

What we often overlook in the miraculous multiplication of the bread and fish is the willingness of the ‘little’ boy to yield his 5 loaves and 2 fish into the hands of Jesus! (John 6:9). He took what He had and placed them in Jesus’ hands and after his lunch fed five thousand men besides women and children, the bible says there were twelve leftover baskets of whole bread and fish that weren’t touched (Luke 9:17). Who do you think got the twelve baskets? The boy of course! His lunch wasn’t little anymore! Nothing that you yield to God by putting in Jesus’ hands ever remains small.

    DECLARE
I am grateful for every opportunity you have given me in life. I refuse to complain and murmur. In faith and thanksgiving, I put my five loaves and two fish in Jesus’ hands and I rejoice. Thank You, Father, for increase because little always becomes much when it is in your Hands.

1 Samuel 30:24 - “For who will heed you in this matter? But as his PART is who goes down to the battle, so shall his PART be who stays by the supplies; THEY SHALL SHARE ALIKE.”

Partnership is God’s program for propagating the Gospel and prospering His people here on earth. In 1 Samuel 30 the Bible tells us that David's camp was raided by the Amalekites and the people were discouraged because they had lost their children, wives, and properties, but David inquired of God on what next steps to take and God told him, “Pursue, for you shall surely OVERTAKE them and WITHOUT FAIL RECOVER ALL.” (1 Samuel 30:8)

If the word _'overtake'_ is juxtaposed, it will be the same thing as _‘takeover’._ The wisdom of God for taking over our inheritance and recovering anything that is lost is *partnership.*

The Bible tells us that David went to battle with 400 men while 200 stayed back to watch the home front. There was a quarrel however on how the recovered spoils should be shared among those who agreed to go and those who chose to stay. David said the reward would be shared equally because they were all in partnership! 1 Samuel 30:25 says, “So it was, from that day forward; HE MADE IT A STATUTE and an ORDINANCE for Israel TO THIS DAY.”

When you partner with an anointed ministry that preaches the _*gospel,*_ you share in the rewards that are accrued for every soul that is won, healed, delivered, and restored. According to our text, you have a _*‘part’*_ in every victory and testimony whether you went out there on the field or not.

In the New Testament Paul also emphasized this principle of partnership! He told the church in Philippians 1:7, “Just as it is right for me to think this of YOU ALL, because I have you in my heart, since both in my chains and the DEFENSE and CONFIRMATION OF THE GOSPEL, you all are PARTAKERS with me of GRACE.”

The Philippian church were partners with Paul in the preaching of the Gospel through their giving and because of this they shared in the very grace (blessing and empowerment) of God upon His life and ministry.

From Acts 16, we understand that these partners in Philippi consisted of prison wardens and businesspeople. Regardless of your profession, you can partner with the Gospel. It is to these partners that Paul said, “And MY GOD shall SUPPLY ALL your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19)

The confidence in Paul's voice attests to the power of partnership! Philippians 4:19 is not a prayer or confession the Philippians made; it is a
*pronouncement* by Apostle Paul upon the Philippians.

Through partnership, we enjoy the mighty supply, recover whatever was lost, and take over places for the kingdom!

    DECLARE
I am happy that I am a joyful partner with the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. As I give my money and resources to the preaching and propagation of the Gospel, I declare that I am a partaker of the grace of God and there are no losses in my life. I am enjoying grace and favor in all that I do. I thrive where others struggle! I recover and take over all in Jesus' Name.

    THE UNCOMMON FAVOUR THAT LIFTS

    REV. AROME E. TOKULA

Psalms 89:17 (TPT) - The glory of your splendor is our strength, and your MARVELOUS favour makes us even stronger, LIFTING US EVEN HIGHER!

Every child of God is blessed because they are in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 1:3) and a core component of the blessing of God is His favour. The favour of God is what distinguishes us in life and it isn't something we should pray for; rather we are to walk in the consciousness of it every day as believers.

While the favour of God distinguishes us, it is also God’s compelling power that lifts us in life from one level of glory to another! Those who don't understand the favour of God will simply term you a ‘lucky' person. They'll say, “you're always lucky!”

Favour raised an ordinary girl that was an immigrant to become a queen in a strange land. Her name is Esther. Though she went through the preparations like the other girls, it was the favour of God that made her case different. Esther 2:17 says, "And the king LOVED Esther above all the women, and SHE OBTAINED GRACE AND FAVOUR in his sight more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen INSTEAD OF VASHTI." As I read this verse, I discovered among many ‘virgins,’ the key to becoming a queen is the uncommon favour of God. It is the favour of God that lifted Esther and that same power is lifting you into positions that were previously occupied by others.

The favour of God will break existing protocols to lift you as it did for Esther. The Law of the land says that: “Everyone who works for the king here, and even the people out in the provinces, knows that there is a single fate for EVERY MAN OR WOMAN WHO APPROACHES THE KING WITHOUT BEING INVITED: DEATH. The ONE EXCEPTION is if the king extends his gold scepter; then he or she may live. And it's been thirty days now since I've been invited to come to the king." (Esther 4:11)

When Esther needed to see the king on behalf of her people, she turned her face to God in prayer and the situation changed. She was the exception. Esther 5:2 says, "When he (the king) noticed Queen Esther standing in the court, HE WAS PLEASED TO SEE HER; the king extended the gold scepter in his hand. Esther approached and touched the tip of the scepter.” Praise God!

What did not happen to others, happened to Esther! She experienced uncommon favours! God is showing you these same uncommon favours even today in the Name of Jesus. People will do for you what they wouldn't do for others. Mighty doors are opened to you in the Name of Jesus.

In 2 Samuel 9, the favour of God lifted a lame timid, and scared man by the name, of Mephibosheth to sit and dine with king David all the days of his life. It didn't matter that he was lame on both feet.

Receive and walk in uncommon favours for lifting in the Name of Jesus. Uncommon favour is taking you to new heights in all that concerns you in the Name of Jesus.

The uncommon favour of God will cause the plans of the enemy to become a perfect plan for your lifting, it will give you a place with Kings like Esther, and it will cause you to sit on the tables of kings like Mephibosheth in Jesus’ Name.

    DECLARE
I am deeply loved by God and highly favoured by Him because I am in Christ Jesus. The uncommon favour of God is lifting me into new levels of glory. Doors open to me where they are closed to others because God has blessed and favoured me. Where others are cast down, I am experiencing supernatural liftings because I am the favoured one in the mighty Name of Jesus.

    SHUT THE DOOR TO DISTRACTIONS

    REV. AROME E. TOKULA

Isaiah 30:15 - For thus says the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel: “In RETURNING and REST you shall be SAVED; in QUIETNESS and CONFIDENCE shall be your STRENGTH." But YOU WOULD NOT.”

A certain minister of the Gospel once said he discovered that the quality of time that he spends in the Father’s presence in the morning is what buys him time in the day to be effective. The truth is time spent with the Father in prayer is never wasted time because you cannot accomplish much and be exceptional in your life as a Christian if you don’t have quiet time.

In Matthew 6:6 Jesus taught this principle when He said, “But you, WHEN YOU PRAY, go into your room, and when you have SHUT YOUR DOOR, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.” I want you to note that Jesus didn’t say, “… IF you pray…” He says, “… WHEN you pray…” meaning He didn’t suggest whether we should pray or not because it isn’t optional, rather He teaches us ‘how’ to pray!

Jesus teaches that when we pray, we should *shut our doors*! The lesson here is that prayer shouldn’t be a ‘show.’ While there is nothing wrong with public prayer, we must constantly have times of being alone with God in ‘quiet times’ by shutting the door to every form of distraction. Your quiet time isn't necessarily about your physical location; it is more about where your mind is. You must learn to shut the door of your mind to distractions and allow God to speak to you!

Quiet times aren’t primarily times of you talking to God and pouring out your problems to Him but a time of listening to Him and receiving life and direction in your spirit man. In our text in Isaiah 30:15, the prophet says that it is in returning to God and resting in Him that we are saved from all the agitations and struggles of life, and it is in ‘quietness’ and confidence that we find our strength, but many would not because they are too busy! As a believer, you shouldn’t start your day trying to round up things from the day before or move on to other things until your day is spent doing much but getting very little in terms of results.

While it is good to have morning devotions, it is better to make your quiet time with God a top priority. It could start with 15 minutes every day and then you keep increasing the length of time. Start your day from rest and not from work. In Isaiah 30:16 God through the prophet said to the people, “…And you said, "No, for we will FLEE ON HORSES" Therefore you shall flee! And “We will ride on swift horses, THEREFORE THOSE WHO PURSUE YOU SHALL BE SWIFT!” Don’t make the mistake of thinking that if you run on horses (your ideas, concepts, principles, connections, and efforts) you will make it through life because life will always outrun you. If you return to God in the place of rest and quietness, you will be strengthened and empowered to make great progress in life! Your experience will be best described as captured by the Psalmist in Psalms 16:11, “You will SHOW ME THE PATH OF LIFE; in YOUR PRESENCE IS FULLNESS OF JOY; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”

    DECLARE
I choose to start my day waiting upon You, Father, in prayer! You are my strength and my life because without You I can do nothing and with You, I can do all things. In Your presence, I receive the needed strength and wisdom to function as I shut the door to every distraction and open the portals of my spirit to Your Spirit. Thank You Father for making me a success in Jesus' Name.

    FUNCTIONING WITH DIVINE COMPETENCE*

    REV. AROME E. TOKULA

    2 Corinthians 3:5 (Passion)
Yet we don’t see ourselves as capable enough to do anything in OUR OWN STRENGTH, for OUR TRUE COMPETENCE flows from God’s EMPOWERING PRESENCE.

When Apostle Paul declared in Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me,” he was referring to God’s superior ability by which he functioned in life. Beyond desiring to do something, the requisite ability is required to be able to execute that desire and every ‘heavenly’ desire will require a ‘heavenly’ ability to execute. This is why Paul says in 2 Corinthians 3:6, “… who (God) also made US SUFFICIENT AS MINISTERS of the new covenant …”

A ‘minister of God’ isn’t referring to pastors, evangelists, or apostles only; it also means one who runs errands for God! Regardless of your field or the assignment given to you by God, you must see yourself as the Father’s errand man/woman. This reality will bring you to a place where you will realize your need for God’s ability to do what He wants you to do.

    Our text says, “We don’t SEE OURSELVES as CAPABLE ENOUGH to DO ANYTHING in our OWN STRENGTH…” This means we have abilities but we refuse to ‘see’ ourselves in the light of our abilities because of how limited we can be in ourselves! The mindset of ‘self-sufficiency’ outside God is the reason many keep failing but like Apostle Paul reveals to us;
“… our TRUE COMPETENCE flows from God’s EMPOWERING PRESENCE.” When others come to their wit's end, we keep towering higher and higher because there is a superior ability that invigorates and strengthens us!

The word ‘competence’ in our text is from the Greek word ‘hikanotes’ and it is translated as _'to be sufficient’_ in some other versions of the Bible but it also means _’to be fit, able, enough, great and large enough to undertake a task.’ God has made you fit for any task!

There are things that the Father will inspire your heart to do. For example, He can instruct you to build a children’s facility in your community that you don’t have the natural resources to undertake! Humanly speaking it mighty look impossible, rather than get discouraged, it should be the reason you look up to Him and trust Him completely and as you do, His power gets expressed through you to do the impossible!

This superior ability is in you. It came to you at the new birth when you received the very life and nature of God. What this means is that you have God’s divine ability to function with, you only need to be more conscious of it like Apostle Paul in Philippians 4:13. If you aren’t aware of God’s ability in you, there will always be a tendency to concede to failure and defeat but you need to know that as a child of God there is nothing that is beyond you. You are born of God and as such you are up to any task!

    DECLARE
I have the life and ability of God functioning through me. There is nothing that is beyond me because the infinite intelligence of divinity is expressed through all my faculties. I face life today without fear because I am not standing in my strength, ability, or capacity but with the strength of the Almighty. I declare that I am doing well in all that I set out to do in the Name of Jesus Christ.

  • ALIVE AND FREE.

John 10:10 “...“ I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” Jesus came to give you LIFE. IN ABUNDANCE.

At the grave of Lazarus after He (Jesus) had called him forth, He said to those around “loose him and let him go”. John 11:43-44. This got me excited because i heard these words “THE MAN WHO HAS LIFE CANNOT BE BOUND”. The scripture says in “He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. 1 John‬ ‭5‬:‭12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Child of God, you have life and that means you are alive in Christ. Let this truth be sown in our hearts. We cannot be bound, restricted, restrained, limited or confined. We are no more in the grave. WE ARE ALIVE IN CHRIST. Stand in your place. It is time to soar!! Halleluyah!!!!!!!!!!

    MANIFESTING GOD’S KINGDOM REALM

    REV. AROME E. TOKULA

Matthew 21:43 - Therefore I say to you, THE KINGDOM OF GOD will be taken from you and GIVEN to a NATION BEARING THE FRUITS of it.

Besides Jesus preaching the message of salvation, He also taught the message of the kingdom. In Luke 4:43 He said, “But He said to them, I must preach the kingdom of God to the other cities also because for this purpose I have been sent.' His purpose was to restore to man’s world the order and protocol of heaven. God wants man to have and experience the ‘Eden’ life here on earth!

Jesus taught His disciples to pray and in Luke 11:2 the Bible says, “So he said to them, when you pray, say: our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. your kingdom come. your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” The Jews of his day perfectly understood the phrase, “your will be done on earth as it is in heaven…” because they were taught by their teachers to see themselves as partners with God in establishing God’s kingdom here on earth by being a blessing to humanity. It is no wonder that Jews are major Nobel prize winners.

They believe that if there is no sickness in heaven, there should be no sickness on earth. If there is no hunger and suffering in God’s kingdom, then there should be no hunger and suffering here on earth. This is what God meant in Deuteronomy 8:18 when scripture says, “And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he swore to your fathers, as it is this day.” God’s covenant isn’t established in heaven; it is established here on earth and one of the ways (not the only way) we see ‘His kingdom come’ is through the instrument of kingdom wealth! It is no wonder the world and its media are so afraid of wealthy believers. A great man of God once said, “Whoever controls the finances of a city or nation will eventually control the spiritual climate as well.”

This concept of partnership with God in ‘perfecting’ the world or seeing His kingdom come is known to the Jews as “Tikkun Olam.” What the Jews didn’t know, however, is that the kingdom of God is first established in people’s lives then it begins to manifest in their world through the ‘proper’ teaching of kingdom truths and principles. You must embrace the kingdom and her king!

In the parable of the rejected son (Matthew 21:33-44), Jesus teaches the Jews to see the world as God’s and that they are tenant farmers that must eventually give an account of their stewardship to the Son of the owner of the farm by the fruits or the results that they produce. Unfortunately, the Jews rejected the owner’s son and killed Him and because of that, Jesus said in Matthew 21:43, “This is why I say to you that the kingdom realm of God will be taken from you and given to a people who will bear its fruit” (TPT).

The kingdom realm of God has been given to every child of God and God is trusting us to bear the fruits of the kingdom! You received a kingdom when you received Jesus – the king!
It is amazing what God is doing in and through the body of Christ in the days that we are in. We have received an unstoppable kingdom. I believe the church is in one of her finest hours! Absolutely nothing can stop YOU! “The one who comes against this stone will be broken, but the one on whom it falls will be pulverized!” (Matthew 21:44 TPT). The ‘Stone’ is Jesus and His church! We are unstoppable!

Refuse to give in to the negative news, manipulations, and deceptions of this world and her media because Isaiah 60:2 says, “For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the Lord will arise over you, and his glory will be seen upon you.”

    DECLARE
Thank You Father because You have grafted me into You! I have Your life and essence in me. I am a part of the Church shining in her brightest hour! I have Your kingdom residing in me and I am manifesting it everywhere that I go. I declare that I am unstoppable because I am walking in the victory of Jesus from glory to glory!

    SECLUSION AND SACRIFICE

    REV. AROME E. TOKULA

Psalms 118:27 - God is the LORD, and HE HAS GIVEN US LIGHT; BIND THE SACRIFICE with cords to the horns of the altar.

Sacrifice is interestingly a theme that runs through scriptures whether with people of covenant with God or with heathen worshippers because sacrifice is a spiritual law! It is the secret of power and influence. Someone rightly said that behind every great fortune is a great sacrifice!

The depth of a sacrifice always determines the scope of influence! You have to learn to let go of a present thing in the quest for a higher desire! For example, the believer who spends more time with the Father in the secret place wields more influence over his space in the place of assignment. In Luke 5:16, the Bible says, “So He Himself OFTEN WITHDREW into the wilderness and PRAYED.” There's a regular practice that distinguished Jesus in life and ministry and that practice made Him effective in the Father’s will for His life.

In the book of Mark 1:35-37 the Bible tells us that “The next morning, JESUS GOT UP LONG BEFORE DAYLIGHT, left the house while it was dark, and made his way to a SECLUDED PLACE TO GIVE HIMSELF TO PRAYER. Later, Simon and his friends searched for him, and when they finally tracked him down, they told him, “EVERYONE IS LOOKING FOR YOU—THEY WANT YOU!” (Passion)

You can widen your latitude and reach more people when you narrow your time and zoom in spending time in the presence of God. It is not a coincidence that everyone was looking for Jesus and it's not just some 'luck’ that the people wanted Him. Though the Son of God, He understood the place of spending time with the Father. Seclusion is the key to productivity!

The way to break into new levels in life is through seclusion and sacrifice. When King Mesha of Moab got tired of paying the regular tribute to the king of Israel after the death of Ahab war broke out because things will not change without resistance (2 Kings 3:4-5). The Bible says the kings of Israel, Judah and Edom formed an alliance against Moab and the battle was not in the favour of king Mesha so he got 700 of his 'best’ swordsmen and he found out he was still losing (2 Kings 3:26). When all else failed, 2 Kings 3:27 says, “... he TOOK HIS SON, his FIRSTBORN who would succeed him as king, and SACRIFICED HIM ON THE CITY WALL. That set off FURIOUS ANGER against Israel. Israel pulled back and returned home.”

When king Mesha offered up his ‘heir’ the tides turned in his favour because he set in motion a spiritual law! The sacrifice of his heir was a greater sacrifice than the grain offering that the coalition sacrificed that morning (2 Kings 3:20). Sacrifice is the secret of power for change!

If you are tired of where you are or you want to break out of that situation; probably every other thing you've tried has failed, I want to encourage you to get into a place of seclusion and sacrifice.

    PRAYER
Father, teach me the art of waiting upon You in the place of prayer because Your presence makes the difference! I let go of every appearance and empty myself to be filled with everything that You are. My eyes are open to see what You will say as I am instructed by Your Spirit. You always give me the victory and I always win because I am standing and walking in the victory of Christ Jesus.

    YOU ARE THE LIGHT

    REV. AROME E. TOKULA

Ephesians 5:8 - For you were ONCE DARKNESS, but NOW YOU ARE LIGHT in the Lord. Walk as children of light.

The Bible makes no mistake when it comes to the identity of the new creation in Christ Jesus. He calls the believer the light.

Jesus confidently declared in John 8:12, “... I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” It is important to hear what Jesus said in this verse. He is not saying that God's light shines through Him rather He says that He is the Light.

Jesus said He is the Light that God shines in the world of darkness. If darkness connotes confusion, fear, anxiety, evil and death then lightning simply means the answer to these things!

In the same way, Jesus calls us light. Matthew 5:14 says, “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.

Apostle Paul in our text says that we were once in darkness. Notice he didn't say we were walking in the darkness, he said we were in darkness. It doesn't matter what we did or didn't do, we were in darkness but that has changed. Now in Christ we are the light of God. We are the sons of light. We are the bringers of hope to the hopeless. We are the solution. We are the answer!

It is important to know that as a child of God, He isn't just shining His light through you. You aren't the medium through which His light shines rather you are the very light that He shines into the darkness.

We're exactly like Jesus was in His earth walk. This is the truth and consciousness that you must walk with everyday of your life and that starts today.

    DECLARE
I carry Christ Jesus in me. I am the light of the world. His life is in me. I am the solution and I'm providing answers. The darkness of this world has no part in me. I shine bright in darkness in the name of Jesus Christ.

    MEDITATE
You are exactly like Jesus was in His earth walk. You are the solution. You are the answer!

    BECAUSE HE LIVES

    REV. AROME E. TOKULA

Colossians 1:27 - To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is CHRIST IN YOU, THE HOPE OF GLORY.

One of the things the gospel does to you as a child of God is to give you hope. Through the gospel, you are assured of spending eternity with the Father! The gospel also assures you of the victory and triumph of life over death in any situation. It doesn't matter where you are or what your experiences are before you became a child of God, the gospel of our Lord Jesus gives you a reason to live and believe for better things and new experiences!

1 Peter 1:3-4 (Message) says that, “What a God we have! And how fortunate we are to have him, this Father of our Master Jesus! because Jesus was raised from the dead, we’ve been given a brand-new life and have EVERYTHING TO LIVE FOR, including a future in heaven—and the FUTURE STARTS NOW!”

When the Bible says that you've been given a brand-new life, it isn't saying that you've been given a brand new 'lifestyle,' it is actually saying that you've been given a brand-new kind of life! You've been given the eternal life of God! This life is the resurrection life of God that injects life into any dead thing and brings it back to life. It gives you a confident assurance that things must change. Your future isn't just in heaven because the future starts now!

You don't have to go to heaven to be healed because there's no sickness in heaven. You won't have to go to heaven to be prosperous because the same resurrection life that raised Jesus from the dead is in you and that same life can turn anything around for your good! Apostle Paul speaking in Philippians 1:19-20 says, “For I know that this shall TURN TO MY SALVATION through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, According to my EARNEST EXPECTATION and MY HOPE, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death.” The hope of the gospel is what removes every form of shame from your life! It doesn't matter whether the situation looks terrible on the outside and the timelines elapse, you know that everything is working out in your favour so there's no need to be ashamed because you can see victory and you always win.

Our text, Colossians 1:27 says that the mystery of the Christian life is, “.. Christ in you, the hope of glory.” It means that because the resurrected Christ lives within your spirit man, you can expect your life to move from glory to glory! From beauty to beauty!

Christ in us is the reason we know that we will be better today than we were yesterday! It is the reason we can walk off the bed of sickness! It is the reason we can see all the dreams that the Father has implanted in our hearts coming to pass. It is the reason we can dream again and expect good things to come out of negative situations because according to Romans 8:28 (TPT), “... we are convinced that every detail of our lives is continually woven together to fit into God’s perfect plan of bringing good into our lives, for we are his lovers who have been called to fulfill his designed purpose.”

This is the confidence with which you should face life in the coming year as you thank God for a glorious 2025 in Jesus Name.

    DECLARE
I am a child of God and I know that the resurrection life of God is in me because I have Christ Jesus living in me. I am not afraid of the future because the future belongs to me. I am certain that every detail of my life is working out the purpose of God in my life. I'm born and ordained for a life of glory and I'm living it everday in Jesus Name. Thank You Father for 2025

    WHY JESUS WAS BORN

    REV. AROME E. TOKULA

Matthew 1:21 (Passion) - She will GIVE BIRTH to a son and you are to name him ‘SAVIOR,’ for he is DESTINED TO GIVE HIS LIFE to save his people from their sins.

The Bible records some extraordinary events that took place on the night Jesus was born. For most people in that day and time of His birth, it was another cold winter’s night. Scripture tells us that angels declared to the shepherds who watched their flocks, “… Don’t be afraid, for I have come to bring you good news, THE MOST JOYOUS NEWS the world has ever heard! And it is for everyone everywhere!” (Luke 1:10 TPT). The reason for their joy was simple: “For there is born to you this day in the city of David A SAVIOR, who is Christ the Lord” (Luke 2:11). This child was born to be the savior of mankind! Heaven rejoiced because humanity – God’s creation – will be delivered from the bondage and grip of the devil! Our text says, “… he is DESTINED to GIVE HIS LIFE to SAVE HIS PEOPLE from their SINS!”

The Bible tells us in Matthew 2:1(MSG), “After Jesus was born in Bethlehem village, Judah territory—this was during Herod's kingship—a BAND OF SCHOLARS arrived in Jerusalem from the EAST.” These scholars popularly known as ‘wise men’ were men of repute who were highly educated and schooled in astrology and prophecies. Some have said that they were students of the school in the east (Babylon) where Daniel, hundreds of years before, was raised by Nebuchadnezzar to head. Daniel 2:48 says, “Then the king PROMOTED DANIEL to a high position in the kingdom, lavished him with gifts, and made him governor over the entire province of Babylon and the CHIEF IN CHARGE OF ALL THE BABYLONIAN WISE MEN. “ This group of men had probably been studying the prophecies that Daniel taught and had been observing the stars. When they saw the constellation of the stars and knew that the child had been born, they came all the way to worship and see the prophecy fulfilled!

Matthew 2:11 (MSG) says, “They entered the house and saw the child in the arms of Mary, his mother. Overcome, they kneeled and worshiped him. Then they opened their luggage and presented gifts: gold, frankincense, myrrh.” These men didn’t come to worship empty-handed! They came with gifts and their gifts were significant because of what they represented. While the _gold_ points to Jesus’ _royalty_ because He is ‘The Christ,’ the _frankincense_ spoke of his _divinity_ because it was an aromatic plant that was used in the worship of deities. But the interesting thing is that they also brought _‘myrrh’_ which is a spice used to embalm _the dead_ (John 19:39), and nobody brings such to a baby shower! The myrrh attested to his humanity because He was born to die! These wise men through their gifts preached and demonstrated with understanding the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. They were saying through their gifts, God laid aside His majesty to become a man to die for men.

They worshipped because where others saw a baby, these wise men saw a God, a Savior and a Redeemer. They knew that this child was born to die! This is the same picture that every child of God should carry in their hearts as they celebrate the birth of Jesus! He is your God, He is Messiah – your King and He is your savior!

    PRAYER
Thank You Father for Your great love for me. Thank You for coming down to earth as a man to die for my sins. As I celebrate the’ birth, of Jesus, I am reminded of His purpose which has been fulfilled in my life. Thank You Jesus for redemption! Thank You for life and victory over the works of the devil! Today, I worship Jesus my God, King and savior who was born to die for me!

EUPHORIA Devotional (The spirit of joy, an ecstasy that comes from God) December 24, 2025 WHY JESUS WAS BORN REV. AROME E. TOKULA Matthew 1:21 (Passion) - She will GIVE BIRTH to a son and you are to name him ‘SAVIOR,’ for he is DESTINED TO GIVE HIS LIFE to save his people from their sins. Our text says, “… he is DESTINED to GIVE HIS LIFE to SAVE HIS PEOPLE from their SINS!” The Bible tells us in Matthew 2:1(MSG), “After Jesus was born in Bethlehem village, Judah territory—this was during Herod's kingship—a BAND OF SCHOLARS arrived in Jerusalem from the EAST.” These scholars popularly known as ‘wise men’ were men of repute who were highly educated and schooled in astrology and prophecies.
