Wi-Fi Connected but No Internet on PC: A Troubleshooting Guide
If your Wi-Fi connection works normally on your phone but your computer cannot access the internet or open any web pages, the issue is usually related to your network settings. Below is a step-by-step guide using Windows PC as an example to help you fix the problem.
1. Right-click the network icon in the lower-right corner of your Windows desktop, then click Network & Internet settings. (See Figure 1)
【Figure 1】
2. In the network list, locate the connected network and double-click it. If the IPv4 connectivity status shows No Internet access, this usually indicates a configuration issue. (See Figure 2)
【Figure 2】
3. Click Properties to open the network properties page. (See Figure 3)
【Figure 3】
4. Check whether a static IP address is configured. If an IP address is manually specified, change the settings to Automatically obtain an IP address and Automatically obtain DNS server address, then save the changes. In most cases, this will fix the issue where Wi-Fi is connected but the computer cannot access the internet.
If the problem persists, right-click the network (WLAN) icon and select Diagnose network problems, or try using the Network reset option to restore the default network settings. (See Figure 4)
