The Job Manager Addon is a new feature extension for the Cleanly Booking Plugin that allows businesses to manage staff members and their job applications directly from the Cleanly dashboard.
By enabling this addon, you can open up your booking platform so that anyone can apply to become a staff member, and you can also define a platform fee percentage that will automatically be deducted from each booking amount.
This addon is ideal for platforms that want to manage bookings, staff, and commissions all in one place.

🔧 Accessing Job Manager Settings
- Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard.
- From the left-hand menu, go to Cleanly → Job Manager.
- You will see the Job Manager settings panel, as shown in the screenshot below.
⚙️ Job Manager Settings
1. Enable Job Manager
Option Name: Enable
Control Type: Toggle Switch (ON/OFF)
Default State: OFF
Description:
When the Job Manager option is enabled, your Cleanly system will allow external users to apply to become staff members.
This means anyone visiting your booking site can submit an application to work with your platform — perfect for growing your team or creating a marketplace-style system where service providers can join and fulfill bookings.
How It Works:
- When enabled, a “Apply as Staff” option will be available on the front end (depending on your theme integration).
- Admins can review and approve/reject staff applications within the Cleanly admin panel.
- Approved staff members can then be assigned to jobs or bookings.
Example Use Case:
You run a cleaning service platform and want to allow new cleaners to join your team. By enabling this option, applicants can submit their details, and you can approve them from your dashboard.
2. Platform Fee
Option Name: Platform Fee
Input Type: Numeric Field (percentage value)
Default Value: 20 (representing 20%)
Description:
This setting controls the commission or service fee that the platform (admin) takes from each booking made through staff members.
When you set a platform fee, that percentage will be deducted automatically from the total booking amount before payment distribution.
Example Calculation:
If you set the Platform Fee to 20% and a booking costs $100, the distribution would be:
- $20 (20%) goes to the platform (admin)
- $80 (80%) goes to the assigned staff member
This setup is helpful for platforms operating as intermediaries between customers and service providers.
Notes:
- Only numeric values are allowed (no percentage symbol
%required). - Setting the value to
0means no commission will be taken.
