The high-volume format

Why Chemyo uses 50 ml solutions

Chemyo’s liquid research compounds ship in 50 ml bottles instead of the 30 ml format common across the market — a deliberate choice that gives each order more material to work with, without changing how the contents are sealed, coded, or tested.

More material per order

A larger bottle, the same concentration

The most direct reason for the 50 ml format is simple arithmetic. At an identical concentration, a 50 ml bottle holds close to 70% more solution than the 30 ml bottle that has become the de facto standard. That difference is built into the volume itself — nothing about the formulation changes, there is just more of it in the container.

For a researcher, that means a single order carries more of the compound through the work ahead, whether the protocol calls for repeated sampling, a longer timeline, or simply a larger reserve on hand. The format is the variable; the solution inside is prepared and verified to the same standard regardless of bottle size.

Cost per milligram

A lower effective cost per milligram

Bottle size and total material are linked, and that link shapes value. Because a 50 ml bottle carries more solution than a smaller one at the same concentration, the cost of the material it contains is spread across more milligrams. In relative terms, that lowers the effective cost per milligram compared with covering the same amount of research material by buying several smaller bottles instead.

The same logic applies at the level of a whole order. Consolidating material into fewer, larger bottles tends to be more economical per unit than repeatedly ordering the smaller format, since each order carries more compound forward. We keep this comparison deliberately relative: the advantage is structural, a function of getting more in one bottle, rather than any specific figure — pricing is shown on each solutions listing and across the full catalog.

Fewer reorders, fewer variables

One larger batch, less to reconcile

For longer or repeated studies, the size of a single batch matters as much as its contents — and a larger bottle quietly removes work from the research record.

Fewer reorders

A larger single bottle carries more of a study before the next purchase, so a protocol that would have meant several smaller orders can often run on one.

Less batch-to-batch variation

Drawing from one larger batch over a study means fewer separate batches to account for, and therefore less batch-to-batch variation to reconcile in the record.

One batch code to track

Each bottle still carries its own batch code traceable to a certificate of analysis, so consolidating into fewer bottles also means fewer codes to log and cross-reference. Understanding your COA

The same testing per batch

A larger format does not reduce scrutiny: every batch, whatever its size, carries the same independent testing and its own batch code. See our quality control

Same standard, larger format

Nothing about the standard changes

The 50 ml bottle is a format decision, not a quality compromise. Every solution we ship — regardless of bottle size — is induction-sealed for tamper evidence, labelled with a batch code, and traceable to a certificate of analysis for that specific batch.

The contents are verified for identity, purity, and concentration by an accredited ISO/IEC 17025 external laboratory, with a COA produced per batch. The larger bottle simply means more of a solution that has already cleared the same checks. If you want to see how that verification works before you order, our lab accreditation and certificates page documents the testing, and about Chemyo explains the principle behind it.
