Obama? Are we to be your Lemmings?

May 6, 2012. The day Obama kicked off his campaign for his next term. His slogan?  Way Forward. Forward off the cliff is what it has been. Here is a Saturday re-do of my post video done then that is even more appropriate today. Forward like lemmings, off the cliff he would take us.

The ending? It is up to us.

Obama mocks us, laughs at us over Pipeline

This one really ticked me off. Maybe it was the morons sitting behind Obama smiling as he spoke, forgetting that their  a**es are getting gored every time they go to the gas pumps to fill up their cars.

Maybe it was his Rasputinesque grin, evil to the core as he lied through a faux smile.

In the end, it was his mocking us, smirking at us, knowing exactly what he was doing and no one gives a darn and he knows it.

And you know who else is laughing at us? Why good old Warren Buffet as he makes his millions off of his Railroads.  Lets all sing along with Warren as he wishes China a great new year working on the Railroads. Throw in the Rockefellers as well.

Warren Buffett’s Burlington Northern Santa Fe LLC is among U.S. and Canadian railroads that stand to benefit from the Obama administration’s decision to reject TransCanada Corp. (TRP)’s Keystone XL oil pipeline permit.
With modest expansion, railroads can handle all new oil produced in western Canada through 2030, according to an analysis of the Keystone proposal by the U.S. State Department. (Chuckle time)!

“Whatever people bring to us, we’re ready to haul,” Krista York-Wooley, a spokeswoman for Burlington Northern, a unit of Buffett’s Omaha, Nebraska-based Berkshire Hathaway Inc. (BRK/A), said in an interview. If Keystone XL “doesn’t happen, we’re here to haul.” From: Bloomberg

US billionaire Warren Buffett has appeared singing and playing the ukulele on Chinese state television. The billionaire popped up on CCTV and wished the people of China “a happy new year.” The Lunar New Year of the Dragon begins at midnight on Sunday. “Your country has accomplished amazing things, and the best is yet to come,” Buffett told the broadcaster. The investor is well respected in China for his financial success.

The keystone pipeline is actually just one of several oil sands pipelines targeted by the Rockefeller Brother’s Fund. Ezra Levant calls it industrial sabotage and, based on their own Power Point, that certainly seems an apt description. H/T: Heritage  From Rockefeller Fund sabotages Keystone pipeline approval. The Rockefeller Brother’s Fund in a coordinated, 4-year, $28 million dollar campaign was on the march to defeat it.

The Keystone Pipeline project was expected to create tens of thousands of high paying jobs in the oil industry. The project itself would create 20,000 construction jobs. And the pipeline would bring oil from Canada and North Dakota to refineries in the United States.

But it was just a big pipe dream. Obama rejected the plan. (Bob McCarty)

Today Barack Obama mocked Republicans for pushing Keystone pipeline, a no brainer. Obama says the pipeline would only create 50 jobs. He’s not just offensive, he’s an idiot.

Maryland Taxes Rain – as mandated by the EPA

Maryland Democratic Governor Martin O’Malley has instituted a tax on citizens for the amount of rain that falls on their property.

This goes to prove that elections have consequences. We were warned what the EPA had in mind to finish off our country. This will bankrupt our cities. The Maryland Dems are just going to do it the old fashion way, Churches and business goes first. Enforced by “surveillance”

Last October 2012 I ran a post EPA turns on the cities – Storm Water Tax coming our way.

The Wall Street Journal reports:

Behold the Obama Administration’s new public works plan. Sue cities for polluting waterways and then as part of a settlement require them to spend, er, “invest” billions in extraneous sewer improvements. The White House doesn’t even need legislation to pour this money down the drain. The Justice Department and Environmental Protection Agency have taken enforcement actions against 25 cities over the last four years for allegedly violating the Clean Water Act, and there are another 772 on their list. In addition to imposing millions of dollars in penalties, the feds have forced these cities into consent decrees that will cost their local taxpayers $21 billion. The decrees spell out in detail what capital upgrades they must undertake—everything down to the size of their pipes. The EPA says this extraordinary intrusion on local sovereignty is justified because cities are discharging waste into waterways during heavy rains. Many older wastewater systems include a safety valve that releases untreated stormwater and sewage into lakes and rivers when underground tunnels are flooded. This is to prevent waste from backing up in basements. The EPA has ordered cities to limit such wet weather overflows to four per year, regardless of how much rain they receive or how little muck they discharge. Many cities have already taken concrete steps to reduce such overflows by developing “green infrastructure” (i.e., permeable pavements, rain gardens, catch-basins) that soaks up and diverts stormwater. Such solutions are easier and less expensive to implement than reconstructing their underground systems as the EPA wants them to do.

Back to the Maryland Fiasco:

The tax, officially known as a “storm water management fee,” will be enforced in nine of the state’s counties. The state legislature passed it in 2012 purportedly to “raise revenue to cleanup [sic] the Chesapeake Bay,” according to MarylandReporter.com.

Former 2012 GOP U.S. Senate candidate Dan Bongino bashes the tax in a Wednesday afternoon press release. The law “requires individuals, businesses, and even charitable organizations and houses of worship to pay a tax based on the amount of rain that falls on their property and the ‘impervious surfaces’ on their land,” he says.

The tax, mandated by the EPA and enforced locally, will be calculated “through satellite surveillance of your property,” the statement claims.

Agenda 21 alive and well in New Zealand

If we think that we here in the U.S. are the only ones who are under the United Nations, this post from New Zealand sets us straight. The Demise of Christchurch City New Zealand blog gives us a glimpse into how this malevolent plan is taking place throughout the world.  Here we go:

Are we experiencing a communist infiltration sponsored by the United Nations?

New Zealand has United Nations Agenda 21 inserted into key legislation such as the Resource Management Act and the Local Government Act.

Here is a page from the Ministry for the Environment Website. Read it carefully!www_mfe_govt_nz_laws_meas

These look horrifying green to me, but they only border on communism.

You must check out this exam script exemplar from the NCEA course “Education in Sustainability” Exemplar 3 2008 exam else you will miss the point of this blog! Remember that this examination candidate was between 16 and 17 years old. Behind him or her are teachers, heads of department, headmasters, curriculum creators, government officials, Minister of Education and ultimately the Prime Minister himself. All responsible for the repugnant things this candidate is regurgitating and eventually going through life thinking what he or she has “learned” at school is and reasonable.

I found these on the governments NZQA website. http://www.nzqa.govt.nz/ncea/assessment/view-detailed.do?standardNumber=90812

What is perhaps more shocking are the examiner’s comments which are in red over each page.

This is only one of a number in a similar vein.

Yes- The base authorities for the course “Education in Sustainability” are Agenda 21 and the Brundtland Report!

If this is not an attempt to breed little communists at high school and send them out into the community armed with very little understanding of the consequences of what they have learned, then will someone enlighten me as to what it is.

Conversely, if you have any civic responsibility, perhaps you should email the Prime Minister and the Minister of Education ask for an explanation.

Please feel welcome to comment.

What do you think of the views expressed in this exam paper and more important, the views of his instructor. Here is the link again (Exemplar 3 2008 exam)

Soviet born Boris Bershteyn, Cass Sunstein’s replacement a sleeper cell

Recall my post Cass Sunstein replaced by Soros’s Soviet born Boris Bershteyn? He never got brought forward for a Senate confirmation hearing as required apparently. Or so we thought. But Obama seems to have managed a round about way of letting him slip by without one. First a bit of the back story, then the update. Just where are our GOPers on this? His position more powerful than the EPA. This sure will put energy on a fast track now won’t it?

Boris Bershteyn, the budget office’s general counsel, will replace Sunstein as acting director. Bershteyn is a natural choice. He was born in the Soviet Union, earned his law degree at Yale, and was selected as a 2001 “fellow” by the Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans. Paul Soros is the elder brother of the notorious globalist and darling of the financial class, George Soros.

Boris Bershteyn

Between his tours at OMB, he served as Special Assistant to the President and Associate White House Counsel, with responsibility for legal issues in regulatory, economic, health, and environmental policy.ACUS Gov

The new Administrator of OIRA will have powerful influence on any proposed energy and environmental policies, in addition to proposals or new regulations in any other sector. The OIRA has already exercised plenty of revisions to Department of Energy and Environmental Protection Agency proposals involving issues such as coal mining, fracking, energy exports and renewable energy sources. The Administration’s proposed new regulations involving air quality, emissions controls on power plants, and regulations addressing climate change increase pressure on Obama to choose a new administrator as these issues need to be addressed quickly

President Obama is now under pressure to appoint a new administrator at the OIRA. The position of OIRA administrator has been unfilled since August, when Cass Sunstein stepped down after serving for three years. A lawyer named Boris Bershteyn has been serving as Acting Administrator in the interim, but there is a time limit on how long the position can remain vacant. Bershteyn is approaching his limit of 210 days as acting Administrator, and Obama must soon appoint someone to the position permanently. The appointment also needs to be approved by the Senate. Because Bershteyn’s 210 days will be up sometime next week and no successor has been named, the White House may simply remove his “Acting Administrator” title.

Obama’s EPA Nominee Not ‘To Sit Around and Wait for Congressional Action’

If we thought that Lisa Jackson was bad, we have another one that is sure one crackerjack of a nut case. Let’s hope before she is confirmed we get all of the Jackson alias “Richard Windsor” faux e-mails she wrote. Check out the video, and slide over for the short version:  Here at News Alert.

President Barack Obama on Monday nominated Gina McCarthy to replace Lisa Jackson as Environmental Protection Agency administrator.

McCarthy, who currently heads the EPA’s air and radiation office, has vowed “not to sit around and wait for congressional action” when issuing environmental regulations.

On May 1, 2010, in the keynote address for the Green Education Celebration at University of Massachusetts in Boston, McCarthy said she did not go to Washington to wait for congressional action and she said she did not intend to do so in the future.

“I love listening to Sen. Kerry. I love listening to Congressman Markey, because they talk funny and they talk real,” said McCarthy. “They tell it like it is and they make things happen. I am so proud that we have them in office so they can push us to face reality that one needs to face and to move forward with legislation that is absolutely essential.

“But I will tell you that I didn’t go to Washington to sit around and wait for Congressional action. Never done that before, and don’t plan to in the future,” said McCarthy.

“EPA’s Administrator Lisa Jackson didn’t sit around so that she could look at the law and decide it was inconvenient to follow it. Or listen to the science and say, ‘You know, that might get me into trouble, so I ain’t going where the science tells me,'” said McCarthy. “What she actually said when she got there is that I’m going to listen to the law and I’m going where science is driving us, and that is why the EPA put forward just last December what we call the endangerment finding.”

McCarthy suggested that the volume of lawsuits against the move is a sign that the EPA is on the right track. And, she said the EPA has a legal mandate to regulate – and it’ll do so with, or without, Congress:

“Now, it doesn’t sound that exciting. But I will tell you that 320,000 people felt the need to comment at the time, and since we passed it, 15 entities have decided they want to sue us about it, so it must be pretty cool. It actually is a statement the administrator made that said, ‘You know, carbon dioxide and all these greenhouse gasses actually do pose a danger to public health and welfare under the Clean Air Act,’ and lo and behold, we’re required under law to regulate it. That is, indeed, what we are going to do whether Congress moves forward or -and- whether it doesn’t.”

New Interior pick: Global warming hurt profits- UPDATE

No surprise here now is there? Did we think we would get anyone better than cowboy Salazar? How many more thousands of acres will she sock away for the government? Kiss energy goodbye.

UPDATE: Comrade Matrix sends us this via comment:

REI CEO Sally Jewell, President Obama’s nominee for Interior Secretary, received an Obamacare waiver in 2011 for her company’s health care coverage for 1,180 employees. As Michelle Malkin noted in her May 2011 column, Jewell participated in an Obama administration roundtable in 2009 to talk about the benefits of health care reform

Via Washington Secrets:

REI, the popular outfitter run by President Obama’s choice to head the Interior Department, cited the impact of global warming as a reason for poor profits in its most recent annual report. […]

Obama’s pick is REI CEO Sally Jewell, who has run the firm since 2005. Under Jewell, REI has blossomed while pursuing a green agenda aimed at cutting carbon emissions and dressing shoppers in environmentally-sensitive gear and clothing.

In a 2007 interview with the enviro-website Grist, she bemoaned REI’s carbon footprint, especially from employees commuting to work and even the companies travel program. “One of the shockers to me is 26 percent of REI’s greenhouse-gas footprint is REI Adventure travel trips, like the one I’m about to take. It’s almost as much as — or maybe it’s equal to — all of the electricity generated by all of our facilities. And that is, like, stunning,” she said.

Sierra Club to Break Law to Stop Keystone Pipeline

This might portend for an interesting quandary for Obama. He would like nothing better than to stir up a bit of anarchy. If he approves the pipeline he may believe that the anarchists will keep it in check, and cause more upheaval, and every revolution requires social unrest. Pit those who are paying through their teeth for their energy, against the “Greenies”. It solves his Union problem. It will dominate the news. I say he goes for it and approves the XL Pipeline and sits back and puts up his feet, and gives out a broad smile. What is your take?

The Sierra Club has announced its approval for a “one-time” use of civil disobedience. The civil disobedience is intended to step up their efforts to oppose the Keystone pipeline.

Many of the other groups opposing Keystone have been engaging in civil disobedience as a tactic, including arson-based ecoterrorism. This will be the first time in the Sierra Club’s history that they have approved violating the law.

In a January 22, 2013 press release, the Sierra Club states:

The Sierra Club Board of Directors has approved the one-time use of civil disobedience for the first time in the organization’s 120-year history.

The Club went as far as implying Hurricane Sandy was the result of humanity and stated:

Recognizing the imminent danger posed by climate disruption, including record heat waves, drought, wildfires and the devastation of superstorm Sandy, the Sierra Club board of directors has suspended a long-standing Club policy to allow, for one time, the organization to lead a group of environmental activists, civil rights leaders, visionaries, scientists, and other high-profile individuals in a peaceful protest to dirty and dangerous tar sands. The action will be by invitation only and is being co-sponsored by 350.org.

It remains to be seen if the Sierra Clubs’ civil disobedience will encourage their more ideological counterparts to move even further into radicalism. H/T: Breitbart

Obama’s 39 Taxpayer-Backed Green Energy Failures

Thankfully, we at Bunkerville are well, and appear to have survived Sandy in good shape after a harrowing couple of days. My wishes are that my fellow bloggers fared as well, and prayers go out to all who now have to endure the result of Sandy’s wrath.

Hot Air has a good selection of the pertinent facts of the released documents:

In reference to the bankruptcy of taxpayer-supported Abound Solar last week, President Obama’s proclaimed that “these are decisions, by the way, that are made by the Department of Energy, they have nothing to do with politics,” but evidence abounds (heh, see what I did there?) to the contrary, which was picked up by the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee and released as part of their official investigation today.

Of course, our Commander-in-Chief has found his way to the “Situation Room” for a photo-op, and portray his cred as a fearless leader ready to take on Sandy, not so much anything else. With that, blogging must continue. We hear much about Solyndra, but that is just the tip of his crony capitalism. So lets lay out all that has gone wrong with this misadventure of going “Green”. Here we go:

The 2009 stimulus set aside $80 billion to subsidize politically preferred energy projects. Since that time, 1,900 investigations have been opened to look into stimulus waste, fraud, and abuse (although not all are linked to the green-energy funds), and nearly 600 convictions have been made. Of that $80 billion in clean energy loans, grants, and tax credits, at least 10 percent has gone to companies that have since either gone bankrupt or are circling the drain.

It is no secret that President Obama’s and green-energy supporters’ (from both parties) foray into venture capitalism has not gone well. But the extent of its failure has been largely ignored by the press. Sure, single instances garner attention as they happen, but they ignore past failures in order to make it seem like a rare case.

The truth is that the problem is widespread. The government’s picking winners and losers in the energy market has cost taxpayers billions of dollars, and the rate of failure, cronyism, and corruption at the companies receiving the subsidies is substantial. The fact that some companies are not under financial duress does not make the policy a success. It simply means that our taxpayer dollars subsidized companies that would’ve found the financial support in the private market.

The amount of money indicated does not reflect how much was actually received or spent but how much was offered. The amount also does not include other state, local, and federal tax credits and subsidies, which push the amount of money these companies have received from taxpayers even higher.
