Refund Options
Event administrators can refund artists in two ways:
(Recommended) Request ZAPP processes the refund on your behalf — ZAPP can issue a refund on your behalf if the request meets the following requirements:
You have the funds to cover the refund:
The show account has revenue available to cover the refund and we haven't yet sent your monthly payout. This means ZAPP is still holding revenue collected for your event from the current month.
If you don’t have funds readily available, you can request an invoice to pay the amount prior to our team processing the refund.
The payment was made via credit card or PayPal.
The payment was made in the past six months.
Refund the artist directly by check — You can mail a check to the artist. If you choose this option, the sold product will not automatically return to your available quantity.
Submitting a Request in ZAPP:
Submit your request by clicking the “Request Refund” button on either the application table, or the application review page. This will open a pop-up for you to review and update your request.
Log in to ZAPP.
Select Events > Management.
Select your event and search for the applicant who needs a refund.
In the Payments column, click Request Refund.
⚡ If the Payments column is not visible to you, click the Table Editor to add it to your view.

Select the product(s) you want to refund.
Confirm the quantity to refund and the total amount to be refunded.
Select a reason for the refund.
Click Submit Request to send the ZAPP team your request. You’ll receive a confirmation email and the refund status will be set to pending.

Processing Time
The ZAPP team will review your request, and if your refund is approved, we will typically process within two business days. We will notify you and the artist once the refund has been processed.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a fee to refund applicants?
There are no additional fees to process the refund. Your credit card fees paid on the original purchase are not returned.
What happens if I don’t have enough funds in my ZAPP account to cover the refund?
You can request an invoice and pay for the cost of the refund.
What if I want to cancel a refund request after submitting?
