'Tis done. After 23 years as a consultant, I should feel distraught & very angry, especially for the patients who I should have been able to try & help over the next 1/2 decade. But after the horror of the last 10 years, all I feel is an overwhelming sense of relief. I'm out.

I did go to the Police Shaun, as well as the CQC, coroner's office and GMC. Only local MPs showed any interest and they were unable to get any action until qus at PMs question time. Unfortunately, indifference and poor leadership is endemic across the UK healthcare regulators.

There won't be a single decent healthcare professional who isn't reeling at the horror of Paterson. How did he get away with it for so long and why didn't more staff speak out? Simple. Because people were afraid that, in the prevailing healthcare culture, they'd lose their jobs.

Lovely letter from the Chief Minister here on the Isle of Man. Just a shame the NHS and regulators illegally dismissed me and wouldn't allow me to carry on providing a similar level of care and service to the patients of N Lancs and S Cumbria.
