One falls

into life

as one

into a wave

of innocence

and time,

front porch

balconies

aligned with

mason jar lights

and salty sea air

Seagulls rise

and fall

into murky depths,

unbeknownst

to the fish

in front of them,

awaiting God’s approval

to tilt their heads to the sun

You enter this way–

beachside.
