- Every Heart Deserves to be Heard
In our community, we hold a small gathering called CoffeeTalks. It’s simple... we invite young businessmen and professionals to sit together over coffee. But beneath the laughter and casual conversations lies something deeper.... a quiet search for meaning.
They come not just to talk about business or careers, but to understand life... to learn, to grow, to be welcomed, to belong. Each meeting feels like a safe space where stories can unfold, and hearts can breathe.
After one of our sessions, a participant sent me a message. She thanked me for inviting her, saying that the experience gave her the courage to open up about what she was going through... something she hadn’t done in a long time.
Her message touched me deeply. Because in that moment, I realized something simple yet profound "Every heart deserves to be heard"
Sometimes, what people need is not advice, not solutions, not even answers... just a space where they can be heard without judgment. A moment where someone listens... truly listens, with empathy, and presence.
How I pray that we all learn to offer that gift. To listen not just with our ears, but with our hearts. In a world filled with noise and opinions, being heard has become one of the greatest acts of love we can give.
Thank you, and God bless.

She had three children.
People would sometimes ask,
“Do you love them all equally?”
And she would smile — that quiet, knowing smile — and say,
“I love them all… personally.”
Because love, to her, was never about giving the same.
It was about giving what was needed.
It was about knowing each child’s cry —
even the one they never spoke aloud.
When her eldest got sick,
she became light and warmth —
her hands, a prayer that never stopped.
When her second failed and felt small,
she became patience
a steady voice that said,
“It’s all right, you’ll try again.”
And when her youngest felt lost and unseen,
she became presence
a soft embrace, a reminder:
“You are never alone.”
No, she didn’t love them equally.
She loved them individually.
Each in their own way,
each in their own season,
each in the language their heart could understand.
Because a mother’s heart does not divide among her children
it grows with each one.
And somehow,
it always has room for more.“A Mother’s Heart” She had three children. I remember when I was still a young boy, trying to learn how to ride a bike. I can still feel the wobble of the wheels beneath me, the nervous grip of my small hands on the handlebars, and my eyes constantly darting down at the pedals as I tried to make them move. Every time I focused on my feet instead of the road ahead, the bike would start to wiggle. My hands would shake, and before I knew it, I’d lose balance and fall.
Frustrated, I stopped and looked at my father. He smiled calmly and said, “Jay, don’t look at the pedals. Look straight ahead... focus on where you’re going.”
So I tried again. This time, I fixed my eyes on the path before me. I pushed the pedals once, twice… and for the first time, I felt the bike move smoothly beneath me. I was finally riding.
Looking back now, I realize that learning to ride that bike wasn’t just about balance, it was about focus. And isn’t that the same in our life as Christians? Many times, we lose balance because our eyes are fixed on the wrong things... our struggles, our fears, our failures. But when we lift our gaze and look straight ahead, fixing our eyes on Jesus... the Way, the Truth, and the Life... we find our rhythm. We find our direction.
Because just like riding that bike, faith requires trust. And when we keep our eyes on Him, we don’t just move... we move forward.

When life breaks you, it isn’t to destroy you, it’s to remake you.
Every fragment that feels lost is only waiting to be placed where it truly belongs, with new purpose, new meaning, new light.
Trust the cracks.
They are not signs of weakness but of transformation, the openings through which grace and wisdom enter.
In the midst of brokenness, we often discover our deepest wholeness. We learn to rebuild with gentler hands, to dream again with braver hearts, to redefine what strength truly means.
You are not falling apart... you are breaking open to become who you are meant to be...

That day became one of those unforgettable reminders that God’s plans are always greater than ours.
Honestly, I had completely forgotten that I had a speaking engagement. I had been very sick for several days, struggling with asthma, and I thought I only needed some rest to recover. My body was weak, my energy was low, and I was convinced that I couldn’t make it.
Then, the course leader of the CLP called to remind me of my schedule. At that moment, I paused and prayed, “Lord, if You truly want me to go, please give me the strength.”
The funny thing was, I didn’t even have a car to travel to Maddela, which is about an hour away from Santiago. But God, in His kindness, sent an angel. Brother Erwin was there and willingly offered to drive me. It was a small miracle... another sign that when you say yes to God, He makes a way.
So, with a quick prayer and a hopeful heart, I went... still weak, but trusting completely in His grace.
When I finally stood before my brothers that day, I was reminded that every talk is not just about sharing knowledge. it’s about opening hearts to encounter Jesus.
The slide behind me said:
To know who Jesus is
To understand His mission
To somehow reach and encounter Him
But those words were no longer just talk objectives; they became a personal experience. Because that day, I didn’t just speak about encountering Jesus... I experienced Him.
He met me in my weakness. He carried me through my “yes.” And through the love and help of others, He reminded me that we never walk this journey alone.
Sometimes, we think we are the ones presenting Jesus to others. But the truth is, He is the One presenting Himself through us... through our voice, our struggles, and our obedience.
That day, I learned that faith is not only taught; it is lived. Being sick is never easy... your plans are interrupted, your routines are disrupted, and even simple joys like playing with your kids have to pause. But in the midst of discomfort, there is grace.
Illness becomes an opportunity to receive love and care from those who truly value you... through prayers, comforting words, and even through food that warms the heart: a bowl of lomi, a mother’s creamy sopas, fresh fruits, or even a finger-licking KFC meal shared with love.
God’s love is often felt most through the people He sends family, friends, and community who stand by you in both weakness and recovery. Medicine and rest may help you get better, but true healing happens when you are surrounded by love… because we heal best with God and others.

These past days, my wife, my children, and I have been sick. We did everything we could... we took our medicines, rested, prayed. But healing didn’t come right away. Then I realized… life is just like that.
When we fall, when we fail, or when we’re hurting, we often want to bounce back instantly. But true healing of the body, mind, or heart takes time. God allows the waiting so we can learn patience, faith, and humility.
So if you’re in a season of recovery or growth, don’t lose heart. Keep trusting. Keep doing your part. Because in God’s perfect time, you won’t just get better... you’ll become stronger and blessed...
