“Encountering Jesus Together”
That day became one of those unforgettable reminders that God’s plans are always greater than ours.
Honestly, I had completely forgotten that I had a speaking engagement. I had been very sick for several days, struggling with asthma, and I thought I only needed some rest to recover. My body was weak, my energy was low, and I was convinced that I couldn’t make it.
Then, the course leader of the CLP called to remind me of my schedule. At that moment, I paused and prayed, “Lord, if You truly want me to go, please give me the strength.”
The funny thing was, I didn’t even have a car to travel to Maddela, which is about an hour away from Santiago. But God, in His kindness, sent an angel. Brother Erwin was there and willingly offered to drive me. It was a small miracle... another sign that when you say yes to God, He makes a way.
So, with a quick prayer and a hopeful heart, I went... still weak, but trusting completely in His grace.
When I finally stood before my brothers that day, I was reminded that every talk is not just about sharing knowledge. it’s about opening hearts to encounter Jesus.
The slide behind me said:
To know who Jesus is
To understand His mission
To somehow reach and encounter Him
But those words were no longer just talk objectives; they became a personal experience. Because that day, I didn’t just speak about encountering Jesus... I experienced Him.
He met me in my weakness. He carried me through my “yes.” And through the love and help of others, He reminded me that we never walk this journey alone.
Sometimes, we think we are the ones presenting Jesus to others. But the truth is, He is the One presenting Himself through us... through our voice, our struggles, and our obedience.
That day, I learned that faith is not only taught; it is lived. And when we gather in His name, we don’t just learn about Jesus... we truly meet Him anew.
