English teacher by title, lifelong student by grace.

They say I’m the one doing the teaching: English Language Arts, Literature, the rules of grammar and the power of words. But the truth is, my students teach me far more than I could ever teach them.

They show me the purest form of love...unconditional, boundless, and given freely. They forgive without hesitation, not because they have to, but simply 'because'. They remind me that beauty is everywhere, hiding in the smallest moments, waiting to be noticed.

Every day, they guide me in the most important lessons of all: how to live with an open heart, how to see the world with wonder, and how to embrace each day as a gift. So yes, I may stand at the front of the classroom, but the real wisdom flows the other way. And for that, I will always be grateful.

  • GOD GAVE ME ANOTHER DAY! How beautiful is that? He gave me 2 pancakes and hugs and kisses from the three youngest grandchildren, and he gave me 30 minutes on a video call with one of my daughters and her boyfriend. It's been an overly blessed day!!!!

I failed to mention that he allowed everyone I love another day...MORE BLESSINGS!

  • I gave up everything: my home, my savings, all my belongings, to provide for my son-in-law and his eight children. Now, I’m living in a shed with no running water, just a portable toilet, a bed, and a desk. Despite sacrificing everything, he abuses me, insults me, and claims I’m still not doing enough.

I’m trapped. If I leave, the children will starve because he refuses to work, he hasn’t held a job in over a decade. This nightmare began when my daughter brought the kids to visit him after his deportation, and he destroyed their passports to use them as leverage.

But I have to get them out. Right now, I’m secretly working extra hours and teaching online classes to scrape together enough money to reach the U.S. border. If I can just get there, I can reunite these children with their mother and finally escape this hell.

I’m barely hanging on. I’ve suffered two heart attacks here and need surgery, but he ensures I’m always broke. I pay for everything: rent, food, utilities, school for eight kids, supplies, even his three dogs.

PLEASE, I’M BEGGING FOR YOUR PRAYERS. Time is running out. These children deserve safety, and I will get them back to their mother, no matter what it takes...unless I die before I'm able to get to the border.

  • A Devotional Thought on Colossians 3:1

Because Jesus gave us new life when we put our faith in Him, we're called to live differently now. This verse reminds us to focus on heavenly things - what matters to God - rather than getting stuck on temporary, earthly stuff. Since Jesus is ruling in heaven at God's right hand, our hearts and minds should be centered on Him and His ways. This means making choices that honor God, filling our minds with His truth, and letting His love guide how we treat others. Every morning, we can ask: "Does this thought, decision, or action reflect my new life in Christ?" When we keep looking up to Jesus, it changes everything about how we live down here.

Prayer: Lord, help me seek what matters to You today. Keep my heart focused on heavenly things, not earthly distractions. Amen.

  • Exodus 17:10-13 “So Joshua fought against the Amalekites, just as Moses had ordered. Moses, Aaron and Hur went to the top of the hill. As long as Moses held up his hands, the Israelites were winning. But every time he lowered his hands, the Amalekites began to win. When Moses’ arms got tired, Aaron and Hur got a stone and put it under him. Then he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held up his hands. Aaron was on one side, and Hur was on the other. Moses’ hands remained steady until sunset. So Joshua destroyed the Amalekite army with swords.”

God Is Always With Us – Stand Strong Together & Praise His Name!

The story of Moses, Aaron, and Hur during the battle against the Amalekites (Exodus 17:8-13) shows us powerful truths about faith, unity, and worship. As long as Moses held up his hands in prayer, Israel prevailed, but when he grew weary, the enemy gained ground. This teaches us that we are never without God’s help, our victory comes when we depend on Him. Yet Moses didn’t stand alone. When his arms grew tired, Aaron and Hur held them up until the battle was won. This reminds us that we need each other, faith isn’t meant to be lived in isolation, but in community, where we strengthen and support one another (Galatians 6:2).

Praising God is both an honor and a weapon. Moses’ raised hands were more than a signal, they were an act of worship, inviting God’s power into the battle. When we lift our hands in prayer and praise, we declare our trust in Him, just as the psalmists did (Psalm 134:2). Whether in times of struggle or moments of peace, worship keeps our hearts anchored in God’s presence. He is always with us, fighting for us, and giving us the strength to stand firm. So let’s hold each other up, keep our eyes on Him, and never stop praising His name, because our God is faithful, and His power never fails!

"The Lord your God is with you wherever you go." (Joshua 1:9)

I know that I do not stand alone in my battles. It won't be much longer, and I will finally be able to rest my weary arms.
