A Devotional Thought on Colossians 3:1

Because Jesus gave us new life when we put our faith in Him, we're called to live differently now. This verse reminds us to focus on heavenly things - what matters to God - rather than getting stuck on temporary, earthly stuff. Since Jesus is ruling in heaven at God's right hand, our hearts and minds should be centered on Him and His ways. This means making choices that honor God, filling our minds with His truth, and letting His love guide how we treat others. Every morning, we can ask: "Does this thought, decision, or action reflect my new life in Christ?" When we keep looking up to Jesus, it changes everything about how we live down here.

Prayer: Lord, help me seek what matters to You today. Keep my heart focused on heavenly things, not earthly distractions. Amen.
