Playlist programming

A default Media Frame loops a single video or shows an image. You can do much more with a Media Frame when you convert it to a Playlist: sequence multiple videos and images seamlessly, play content in random order, create interactive carousels or kiosk-style menus, and enable public control via a QR code. Playlists can also respond to real-time motion triggers detected in the projection area.

  • Navigate to the Editor
  • Select the Media Frame containing a video or an image
  • Click the 'edit-pencil' button, bottom-right of the screen
  • Click the "Convert to Playlist" button at the very bottom of the 'media-frame' tab
  • Uncheck the "Repeat All" checkbox
  • You can set the "Start Offset" and "Length" parameters for every Item of a Playlist
  • "Start Offset" controls how much of the video duration is cut at the beginning. For example, if you set Start Offset to 60 seconds, the first minute of the video will not play; playback will skip to the 60-second timestamp and play from there.
  • "Length" controls how long a video or image shows. If you set "Length" to a value longer than the video's original duration, the video will loop until the Item's playback time reaches that length.
