Image Setup

How to properly aim the projector toward the illuminated object and set the correct zoom (screen size). Make sure your object is fully lit and that there is only a little or no spill of light around it. Ensure the projected grid pattern is perfectly focused. Fasten the projector so it does not move again after reaching the final position.

Zoom trade-off explained

  • smaller illuminated area = higher illuminance (brighter image, colours)
  • larger illuminated area = lower illuminance (less bright)

Allowed orientation: landscape mode (regular video projected onto the wall). Portrait Mode orientation requires the Portrait Mode Kit™ to be installed. Projection on the floor orientation requires the installation of the Floor Projection Kit™. Read more about projector orientation.

Note: You can precisely simulate your site plan with the Projector Configurator before actually placing the projector on site.

  • Aim the projector towards the illuminated object.
  • Switch the device on. Log in to your Lumiverse™ account (my.lumiverse.com), select the correct device, and click the Power Button (main menu, top-right corner).
  • Switch "Projection" to "Lumiverse on" state. The device will open the Sun Shield and start projecting.
  • Navigate back to the projector's main Lumiverse™ menu.
  • Navigate to Settings > Focus & Zoom (wait a few seconds if the button is inactive; it will enable when projection starts)
  • Enable (click) the "Show Pattern" checkbox to display the Grid Pattern.
  • Use Zoom and Focus controls to adjust image size and Focus. The single-arrow button makes the smallest step, and the double-arrow button makes a large step. Start with large steps and fine-tune with small steps.
  • First set Zoom, then set Focus.
  • You can use the "Camera" button > "Show Stream" to live view the projection.
  • Make sure you use the smallest zoom value possible to illuminate your screen. This way, you optimize the system for maximum illuminance (brightness) and maximum image resolution. (Using a bigger zoom than needed equals wasting the projector's energy)
  • When done, uncheck the "Show Pattern" checkbox.
  • Navigate to Main Menu > Power Button, then switch "Projection" to "off".
