You can place interactive Clock & Weather widgets, a real-time Paint app, Giphy, Solid Color, or Gradient app, or the Tetris game on the projection canvas.

  • Tools > Solid: You can use the Solid app to test various RGB colours and how they interact with the illuminated surface
  • Tools > Gradient: Linear and radial gradients
  • Paint 2: Real-time paint on objects
  • Social > Giphy: Project entertaining animated GIFs
  • Weather: Display weather forecast widget for a given location
  • Clock: Display clock for a given timezone
  • Games: Play Tetris (single-player) or Tanks (multi-player)
  • Write: Create text fields.
  • Playlist, Public QR, Public URL (interactivity), and Trigger Mark (interactivity) are complex, powerful apps with dedicated manual chapters.
  • Navigate to the Editor
  • Click the '+' button at the bottom-right
  • If you end up in the last visited folder, click the arrow-up '↑' in the top-left corner to leave the folder
  • Select the apps '</>' tab at the top-centre
  • Select from a variety of available apps and widgets, such as Gradient, Clock, Games, Social, Weather, Write or Paint
  • Navigate to "Clock"
  • Select a clock design you like
  • Now that the clock appears on the canvas, you can modify it like any other Media Frame
  • Select the clock-containing Media Frame and click the 'edit-pencil' (bottom-right)
  • This is where you can change the app/widget settings; different apps offer different options
  • Select the right "Time Zone" for your clock
  • Some apps also provide the "App Control" (App Control is for using the app, App Edit is for making changes in its settings)
  • You can make the "App Control" accessible to the public, thus adding an interactive element to your setup, see chapter 18 QR code interactivity.
  • The following pre-installed apps offer the App Controller: Giphy, Tetris, Tanks, Paint, Chat, and Playlist (Playlist Control is more advanced and covered in chapter 14: Playlist Programming)
  • Navigate to the Power Button, switch to "Projection: Lumiverse on".
  • Navigate to the Editor
  • Click the '+' button at the bottom-right
  • If you end up in the last visited folder, click the arrow-up '↑' in the top-left corner to leave the folder
  • Select the apps '</>' tab at the top centre
  • Navigate to "Games", select "Tetris"
  • Select the Tetris containing Media Frame and click the 'joystick' (App Control) button at the bottom-centre of the screen
  • Play the game
  • At the end of the session, navigate to the Power Button, switch to "Projection: off"
