Glamorous mask
But one night a year

Face peeled away
Yet she remained

We became one as the photos were taken
No distinction

Blended spirits

Morning came
She lay silently next to my bed
Just a shell

Freedom
To live as another
Without the mask

Old life released
Impermanence of self

Borderline conservative
Liberal wannabe

Flower child dreamed into reality

Begin again

Emerge
Classy and tough

Glamorous mask
Removed
To reveal

A whole new me
