A Tisket a Tasket! I spy eight elegant eggs waiting for me in a pretty precious basket. An eager enchanting Easter Bunny delivered them to me while in my bed I was sleeping. Listen! Do you not hear the cheery charming chicks peeping?

Tasty
The joy you bring to me
When you visit my blog each day
Is so sweet and delightful
What more is there to say
I haven’t much to offer
Just a rhyme or thought or two
So I made some chocolate candy
That I’ll gladly share with you
Have a piece of chocolate cake
How tasty is the icing
Take a knife in your hand

A Pet for St Patrick
Young St.Patrick he wanted a pet
To find a nice dog off he set
On a stray he gave tugs
And sweet Irish hugs
He now has a pet you can bet
A stray dog felt a tug on his neck
He turned round and round for to check
Found a lad dressed in green
Who seemed nice and not mean
I’ll make him my pet what the heck
For Your Honey
Got a honey who is waiting
Who is wondering and more
What you’re gonna give her
And just what is the score
Well you might try roses
And candy is really nice

After I wrote this poem I saw a writing challenge to write in third person. So I tried.
The Daily Spur “Write in deep third person”.
He knew his honey was waiting and wondering what he was gonna give her for Valentine’s Day. But he worried even more about what the score between them was. He thought he might send roses or candy as they were very nice. Then he considered just mailing a card to her which probably would be at a cheaper price. But then he reckoned leaving a super-duper comment on her blog for that would never make her blue. And maybe he’d even write her two. This surprise for his sweetie would be a great success and forever they’d be blogging buddies at dear old WordPress.
I think I’ll not try that again.

Christmas Gifts
My daughter gave me several pairs of lounging pajamas and warm socks for Christmas. Never did I think I would be wearing them 24 hours a day. The cold, snow and ice have reached about every part of the US and the forecast keeps saying “The Best Is Yet To Come.” Trying to hitch up the pajamas and hold up the phone to take the picture of my feet was no easy feat.

Christmas Tree – One Day Challenge
An artificial Christmas tree
one day I’m gonna buy
I can see it in a box
in my mind’s eye
No more will pine needles
ever be left on the floor
No longer will I drag a tree
out the front door
I think The One Day hosts are taking a little break but I prepared one anyway. It is for the final weekend of the month and must include “one day” in the post.

Oh little lamb upon the tree
Do you see gifts wrapped up for me
I really have been extra nice
And prayed my prayers not once but twice
In the closet I hung my clothes
At no one did I thumb my nose
I did not snoop in Mother’s purse
