build with us at halogen+.

The work of youth development cannot be done alone. As the driving force behind our programmes and initiatives, Halogen+ is our volunteer arm that drives our mission forward. It’s where like-minded individuals with a passion to influence others positively can converge, share ideas, and serve youth directly.

facilitator

As a Facilitator, you will guide and facilitate students in smaller groups through our programmes within a classroom setting.

I was looking for meaningful organisations to volunteer at. Halogen Singapore’s mission and vision really resonated with me. I think it’s important for young people nowadays to have role models to share their experiences and challenges with – and for all of them to receive the same opportunities, exposure, and toolkits they need to face the working world one day.

We need to know our leaders of tomorrow – they are the future.

To me, the future of young people is similar to the process of clay moulding. Without the guidance of an experienced potter, the clay would never reach its full potential.

I believe that volunteering with young people is a great chance to surprise yourself. More than just impacting the lives of young people, I've come to learn new things about myself and have changed for the better too.

It has been a gratifying experience to be a part of the transformational journey for NFTE students and see how the curriculum helps them acquire more confidence, critical thinking, and presentation skills. It is fascinating how a reserved quiet teenager manage to clearly deliver their ideas to the group at the end of the course.

I am passionate about volunteering with young people because I had the fortune of meeting many teachers and mentors as I grew up. They've had a strong influence on who I am today, which is why I wish to give back in the same way to young people now. I believe we live in a world where young people can dream, and we can play a part in making their dreams come true!
