Halogen is a registered Institution of a Public Character (IPC) charity. All donations made will be eligible for tax relief of 2.5 times the donation amount.
You will receive a tax-deductible receipt via email upon submission of your donation. Donors, upon submission, will receive an acknowledgement of their donation submission, but our finance needs time to process the tax deduction and send a copy via email of the tax exemption receipt within 15 working days. Kindly ensure you have given us a valid email address for us to get back to you!
By default, we allocate all donations received to our general fundraising pool for use to fund our leadership, entrepreneurship or mentorship programmes that are fully sponsored for young people. The donation is used for programme logistics, participant material as well as to support manpower costs of running these programmes.

A cumulative donation of S$1,000 and above in the most recent three financial years are included into the Spark Fund Donor Roll.
In 2015, Halogen Foundation (Singapore) set up the Spark Fund to recognise the contributions made towards our cause of youth development. These contributions are either donations or grants given to us, allowing us to increase our impact amongst youth.
Donor tiers are based on their cumulative contributions over the most recent three financial years at Halogen Foundation (Singapore). The tiers are rolling tallies, with the exception of Spark Honour Hall and Spark Funding Circle.

Yes! As long as you are within the age range of 15 to 19 years old of the application year, we’d be happy to review applications from applicants who have applied before. You will need to submit a new application as there are new questions in this year’s application form.
No, however do note that all events are held in Singapore. In most instances, you will be required to participate in the events in-person.

Firstly, you will receive a confirmation email as to whether you have cleared the first round of screening to go on to the Assessment Form selection stage. Thereafter, you will be notified via email on the results and successful applicants will move on to the Panel Interview selection stage.
Fellows are selected based on the scores accumulated from each selection stage. Applicants must commit to and complete all selection stages:

The next round consists of a virtual assessment where applicants are required to submit a 1-minute video and 3 short essays detailing their past experiences.
Shortlisted applicants will be scheduled for an individual interview with a panel comprising of Halogen Foundation’s curated panel of interviewers.
Selected applicants from the Panel Interview will proceed to the next selection
stage, the Leadership Trials. The Leadership Trials is a half-day engagement, where leaders are placed in teams to work through team challenges and focus group discussions.
Up to 40 Fellows will be selected to join the National Young Leaders Fellowship 2025.
The Fellowship is not a full-time commitment, but active and engaged participation is key to creating a meaningful Fellowship experience.

Be more intentional in your development through goal setting workshops that will bring about an awareness of your strengths and weaknesses, beliefs, and blind spots.

Throughout the five days, you will participate in various experiential learning journeys, workshops, plenaries, and hands-on community projects to learn more about the social issues of Singapore and her needs that lie beneath the surface.
Learn About Others
In open discussions and sharings, you will gain new perspectives through conversations with fellow peer leaders, and build a strong support network with each other.
Commit 3 – 4 hours each month to a Fellows’ monthly gathering – July 2025 to March 2026
The dates of the gathering will be coordinated according to the Fellows’ collective schedule.
As a Facilitator, you will be joining our frontline team in delivering impactful programmes to youths we serve, with your main role being guiding and facilitating students through entrepreneurship programmes in a classroom setting.
As a Trainer, you’ll be taking the lead in programme delivery, with your main role being guiding and delivering content to students in leadership and entrepreneurship programmes in a classroom setting. For more information about being a Trainer, visit this link.
As a Mentor, you’ll play a crucial role in nurturing the next generation of leaders. Your involvement will allow you to interact with youth, share knowledge, guide and encourage youths in their leadership and entrepreneurship journeys. As a Project-Based Volunteer, the scope of work varies according to the project. Additional information about your duties and expectations will be relayed as the project commences.
The commitment level varies across the different ways to volunteer.
As a Facilitator, you will be working with us on an ad-hoc basis. However, we strongly encourage you to see the programme though, journeying alongside the students.
As a Mentor, the commitment level varies according to the programme. Commitment levels range from an ad-hoc 2.5-3 hour mentorship session, or an extended 6 month mentoring programme.
As a Project-Based Volunteer, the commitment level varies with the scope of the project.
