Halogen-Career-Roundtable-Mentoring

About the Maritime Sector Career Roundtable

Facilitated by Halogen, this is a structured roundtable programme designed for junior college, polytechnic, and university students aged 17 - 25 who are looking to gain exposure to the maritime industry and explore potential career pathways within the sector.

The maritime industry powers 90% of global trade and is currently in a transitional phase, moving towards automation through new technologies. This roundtable offers participants the opportunity to better understand the industry and its evolving landscape.

Participants will take part in three rounds of speed mentoring, rotating between industry experts and guided through conversations focused on personal discovery, career navigation, skill set development, and early career preparation. The programme includes an introduction to mentoring, a panel discussion on industry diversity, and a closing networking session.

About The Accelerator Summit 2026

In 2026, the National Young Leaders Fellowship (NYLF) marks its fifth year — a meaningful milestone that reflects both the growth of the Fellowship and the community it has built over time.

What began as a platform to recognise and develop youth leaders has grown into a network of 142 Fellows across four cohorts, each contributing to the community in different ways.

On 20 June 2026, Fellows will gather for The Accelerator Summit, a flagship event designed as a platform for exchange, reflection and inspiration, featuring keynote conversations, youth-led presentations, and workshop breakouts.

Launch of the Accelerator

The event also marks the launch of the Accelerator, where selected youth-led initiatives will be supported to further develop and scale their impact. As a collective milestone for the previous Fellowship batches, the fifth year is both a celebration of past journeys and a step forward in equipping young leaders with the clarity, connections, and confidence to build meaningful and lasting change.

Event Highlights

  • Meet our Fellows
    • Representatives from the four different cohorts and hear where they are now and how they are catalysing change with their influence in their own ways
  • Attend workshops
    • Curated by Fellows to share the A-Zs of embarking in their changemaking journey to other youths

Join us at The Accelerator Summit – RSVP today!
