1496: James Fishback

James Fishback

James Fishback is a hedge fund manager who is running in the Republican primary for Florida governor, hoping to succeed Ron DeSantis. He seems to court controversy. Recently he called Rep. Byron Donalds a slave. Donalds is a Black man and one of his primary opponents. Donalds complained but Fishback said he had no right to do so because, I guess, Fishback didn’t know there was slavery in Belize, Panama, and Jamaica. He also initiated a secret relationship with a minor who he became engaged to when she became an adult. They later broke up and she has asked for injunction against him for stalking.

The court did not issue the injunction, because she was an adult when the alleged stalking occurred and there were defensible reasons for contact. However, the issue of his relationship with a minor was not litigated.

There is much more at Florida’s Voice: Governor candidate James Fishback faces allegations over relationship, began when partner was a minor but the Leon County Clerk has blocked my access.

1435: Brandon Westmoreland

Brandon Westmoreland

Brandon Thomas Westmoreland ran for the office of Mayor of Davenport, Iowa, in 2023. He lost in the primary.

In August, 2024, he was charged with burglary and assault after he broke into someone’s home and beat them up, striking them in the head six times. The arrest affidavit noted the victim had extensive injuries to the head and face. He pleaded guilty to the burglary in May, 2025, and the assault charge was dismissed. He got a ten-year suspended sentence and two years probation. No jail time.

In early July, 2025, he was arrested and charged with sexual abuse of a woman who was severely intoxicated and could not give consent. According to the police report, the woman was unconscious at the time of the assault and is uncertain if she was extremely intoxicated or drugged. She woke up feeling like she had been sexually assaulted. She went to the hospital. She had visible injuries. They ran a rape kit and DNA identified Westmoreland. Two witnesses also place Westmoreland at her home at the time of the assault.

1432: Grant Hill

Grant Hill

Grant Hill is a Republican primary candidate for Iowa State House District 88. He also filed to run in the primary for US House District 1, but has told journalists that was a mistake, though he said he planned to run for Congress in 2032. He was described in the Daily Mail as a “rising GOP star” despite being listed as a sex offender and his very recent release from prison after serving two years and nine months.

His first offense was in 2018, theft from a Dollar General Store. His second, in 2021, was for exposing himself and masturbating in front of a thirteen-year-old at a local gym. He entered an Alford Plea, claiming he was innocent but they had plenty of evidence to convict him. His third offense, also in 2021, was initially charged as third-degree sexual abuse, but he got it reduced to intent to commit sexual abuse in a plea deal. In addition, there was another incident of indecent exposure that was dropped, masturbating at an intersection, recording himself and another motorist who could see what he was doing.

He has started a nonprofit called 1 Love Legacy that will focus on rehabilitation and self-improvement. His campaign is centered on personal accountability, second chances, and community empowerment — themes that take his criminal history into account. His campaign site is The People’s Hill.

1422: Brad Namdar

Brad Namdar was a GOP primary candidate contending for US House District 32, He made trafficking his key campaign issue after already making a reputation as an anti-trafficking crusader. However, a sex worker reported he twice solicited her for sex and the second time, he didn’t pay her. He was also reported for touching a high school student on the bottom when he was working as a teacher and soccer coach. The girl did not report this until she graduated high school.

An anti-trafficking advocate soliciting a sex worker is hypocrisy, but would not put Namdar on this list. Except, he didn’t pay. Additionally, he is accused of inappropriately touching and harassing a minor student.

A teacher was at a football game when some students called him over. One young woman, a recent graduate, said that Namdar had contacted her on Facebook. She was uncomfortable and uncertain what to do. She reported two inappropriate instances, one asking her to meet him in the locker room on a Sunday evening. Another time he is alleged to have touched her inappropriately. She was a minor at the time.

Namsar sued, claiming defamation. He lost his case and he lost his appeal.

1404: David Finkel

David Finkel

David Finkel was the Vice-President of the Shelbyville, Indiana, School Board and a former Republican primary candidate for mayor in 2023. He stepped down from the school board after he was arrested in June 2025 and charged with possession of child sexual abuse material and sexual exploitation of a minor.

According to the U.S. Marshals, Finkel posed as a 27-year-old woman and chatted with teens online, exchanging explicit photos. The mother of one of the teens he communicated with found explicit photos and text on her child’s phone and went to law enforcement with her suspicions in 2024.

They identified two children who were texting with Finkel and traced the activity to his home. When they carried out their search they found child sexual abuse material on his phone. During his interview, Finkel reportedly said, “What people do in fantasy is different than what people do in real life.” The criminal complaint is down below the news articles. His case number for the Indiana Southern District Court is 1:2025mj00588.

1285: Justin Hicks

Justin Hicks

Justin Hicks is a Missouri State Representative who is now running for Congress in the primary which will be held August 6th. He was recently featured on FOX News to speak against Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives.

Max Calfo, a Republican candidate running to replace Hicks in the state House published disparaging information about Hicks on his campaign website. Hicks sued to block the information, suing for “public disclosure of private acts” but a Judge ruled the public had a right to know.

The private acts: grabbing a woman by the neck and choking her. In 2010, not that long ago, a woman was awarded a protection order against Hicks for his violence toward her. She claims he tried to choke her and drag her to his car. When she said she didn’t trust him, he said she shouldn’t according to her report. She also claims he had been sending her threatening text messages.

In 2021, Hicks asked for the record to be sealed to help his legal career and it was. Hicks also pushed and got passed legislation making it more difficult to find case records, making Missouri the worst state for finding court information.

1277: Dan Rodimer

Dan Rodimer

Dan Rodimer was a Trump-endorsed Congressional candidate in 2020. In 2021, he ran in a special election Republican primary in Texas and got 3% of the vote. He also lost his 2018 race for the Nevada State Senate. He is a former professional wrestler with a history of at least three violent incidents, all at restaurants or clubs. He pled guilty to a misdemeanour on one of those cases and took anger management classes. They seem not to have worked as he got into another altercation on Oct 29, 2023. This time the person he is alleged to have attacked died from blunt force trauma.

The fight occurred at a Halloween party. People did not immediately call 911, when asked, they said he slipped and fell, but subsequent investigation interviewed people reported seing Rodimier beat the man and threaten him. Rodimer’s wife texted him saying, “Nobody should have to watch their husband murder somebody.”

The man he is charged with murdering served more than twenty years in prison for a crime he did not commit. He was cleared by the Innocence Project and the real murderer confessed. He had only been out of prison three years.

1183: Anthony J. Dinch

Anthony J. Dinch lost the GOP primary for Mayor, but is now running unopposed for East Washington Borough Council. He has been arrested and charged with several counts of sexual assault of an underage boy who is now fifteen. He’s been raping him for over a year.

Dinch faces felony charges of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, unlawful contact with a minor, endangering welfare of children and corruption of minors. He also faces misdemeanors of indecent assault and providing liquor to a minor.

A last-minute write-in campaign by a write-in candidate defeated Dinch by 5 votes.

1068: Percy Wilbur Rock, Jr.

Percy Wilbur Rock, Jr.

Percy Wilbur Rock, Jr. was a candidate in the Republican primary for Greencastle-Antrim School Board in Pennsylvania. He was arrested after the ballots had been printed and software coded so he remained on the ballot. He got 763 votes.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children provided police with an IP address that had been observed uploading Child Sexual Abuse Material. Police tracked it to Rock who told the police he has been viewing CSAM for ten years or more.

The probable cause affidavit detailed eleven images of CSAM involving girls from apparent ages one to twelve. The police said those images were just a sample of what was collected from his laptop.

He was charged with eleven counts of possessing CSAM and one count for criminal use of a communication facility.

In a plea bargain, he pled guilty to one CSAM possession charge and was sentenced to four years on June 7, 2023.

School board candidate faces 11 child porn charges - Record Herald, The (Waynesboro, PA) - April 27, 2023 - page A1

A Greencastle-Antrim School Board candidate arrested Wednesday, April 19, for allegedly looking at child
pornography online inquired later in the day about having his name removed from the ballot, but it is too
late.
Percy Wilbur Rock Jr., 79, of East Weaver Road, Greencastle, is facing 11 charges of child pornography and one
charge of criminal use of a communication facility.
Questioned at his home the morning of his arrest, Rock admitted to looking at child pornography for more
than 10 years, according to charging documents filed by Pennsylvania State Police.
Why was Rock arrested?
In October 2022, Microsoft filed a CyberTip concerning the uploading of apparent child pornography with the
National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, according to the affidavit of probable cause filed in
Magisterial District Judge Duane Cunningham's office in Greencastle.
In January, the Pennsylvania State Police Computer Crime Unit subpoenaed information on an IP address that
was linked to Rock's home.
The affidavit detailed 11 images of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) involving girls ranging in estimated age
from 1 to 12.
"These images are only a sampling of what was found on the laptop," a trooper with the Troop I computer
crime unit wrote.
Officers with the computer crime unit and the Chambersburg state police barrack went to Rock's home
around 8:30 a.m. April 19.
"Upon knocking and announcing our presence we observed an individual in the window of the residence,
though there was no answer at the door. After making entry into the residence, we located Percy Rock Jr.
standing behind the doorway," the affidavit said.
Rock was told there was a search warrant and he agreed to speak with the computer crimes officer. Rock
confirmed he had seen child abuse material online, was a "casual browser of CSAM" and had viewed CSAM as
recently as the day before.
Rock was arrested, arraigned on the charges before Cunningham and released on $100,000 unsecured bond.
His preliminary hearing is set for May 5. Attempts to reach Rock concerning the charges and his candidacy
were unsuccessful.
Why will his name still be on the ballot?
On the afternoon of April 19, Rock called the Franklin County commissioners office and was told it is too late
to have his name taken off the ballot.
All ballots have already been printed, mail-in and absentee ballots were sent out last week and software has
been coded, according to Jean Byers, Franklin County deputy chief clerk.
There are five seats available on the G-A School Board this year, and Rock is one of six candidates seeking the
Republican nomination in the May 16 primary election.
The others are current board members H. Carter Davidson and Christopher Tyler Bonillas, along with Jacob
Burns, Alana Michael and Mark Scriever II. There are no Democratic candidates.
Rock remains a candidate on the ballot, and if he is one the top five vote-getters, he has until Aug. 8 to ask
that his nomination be withdrawn, Byers said.
Rock, who speaks often during the public comment period at school board meetings, ran for a seat two years
ago and came in seventh in a 10-candidate Republican field in the primary.
"The board lacks diversity and transparency. I am a senior citizen and a fiscal conservative. I have to be
because I live on a fixed income I will bring a conservative perspective to the board," Rock responded in
candidate survey prior to the 2021 primary.
