Richard Lynn Upright

Richard Lynn Upright was a teacher at Vandalia Christian School until his arrest for creating child sexual abuse material using AI and photo editing tools. He was charged with ten counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received seven tips from Google that Upright had uploaded child sexual abuse images to his Google Drive. They notified authorities who identified Upright and arrested him on February 27, 2026.

Authorities state they found 111 child sexual abuse material images on his devices. They further state that Upright took pictures of students and then used AI and photo editing softward to put students’ faces on sexually explicit images.

Bail is set at $750,000.

1522: Stephen Stokes

Stephen Stokes

Stephen Stokes is a former County Commissioner of Benton County, Tennessee. He was also a teacher. He continued to serve as commissioner until his sentencing despite calls for his removal for absenteeism even before he was arrested for sexual battery of a minor in June 2025.

He was released on $100,000 bond, but in August 2025, he failed to appear and was arrested again.

He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to two years in prison on January 20, 2026.

Tabitha Brooks

Tabitha Brooks was a teacher at Wapanucka, Oklahoma, until her arrest for allegedly raping a student. As soon as the school district learned of the “relationship” they contacted the Johnson County Sheriff and suspended her pending the outcome of the investigation and trial.

Teachers do not have “relationships” with their students. They rape them.

The Sheriff’s office indicated they think this is an isolated incident and there are no other survivors.

Her case number is No. CF-2025-00062. She is currently in Johnson County jail, held on $100,000 bail.

1493: Alisha Marie George

Alisha Marie George

Alisha Marie George was a middle-school teacher at a STEM-focused charter school in northern Utah. She also coached volleyball. She was charged with 22 criminal charges involving the grooming and sexual abuse of a former student who has since called her a monster. Other students have come forward so there may be additional charges.

At the time of her original appearance, she was charged with attempted rape and four counts of forcible sodomy, first-degree felonies; 12 counts of forcible sexual abuse, a second-degree felony; distributing pornographic material, a third-degree felony; and four counts of unlawful kissing of a child, a class A misdemeanor.

According to the documents, the student was struggling as his mother was bedridden and George volunteered to help, driving him to and from school. She exploited this time with the child to groom and sexually abuse him. He was in 7th and 8th grade and saw her as a sort of ‘mother figure.’

She is being held without bail.

1480: Bradley Quillen

Bradley Douglas Quillen

Bradley Douglas Quillen was a teacher Kirksey Middle School in Rogers, Arkansas. He was also an assistant basketball and track coach. He was arrested in October for sending and receiving child sexual abuse material.

He was charged with four counts of engaging children in sexually explicit conduct for use in visual or print medium and distribution and possession or viewing of matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child. He posed as an 8th grade boy on Snapchat and Instagram. Using this pretext, he persuaded a 12 year-old girl in Wisconsin to send sexually explicit pictures and videos to him. When parents discovered the material, they contacted police.

Benton County’s officers discovered he communicated with at least four girls masquerading as 14, 15, and 17. In all, they sent him 17 CSAM images from those girls. Benton County Sheriff’s officers believe there could be additional victims. They are encouraged to contact Detective Alison Nguyen at (479) 271-1008, ext. 3631.

The Benton County Sheriff announced the arrest on Facebook. Quillen was later arrested by the FBI. In November, 2025, he pleaded guilty to enticement and coercion of a minor and sexual exploitation of a minor via the production of child pornography. He says he talked to hundreds of young girls.

1468: Michael S. Ritchason

Michael S. Ritchason

Michael S. Ritchason is the Lead Pastor of Riverside Community Church and was elected to the City Council of Pekin, Illinois. He is also a former elementary school teacher. He was recently arrested for crimes against a juvenile, specifically disseminating harmful materials to a juvenile.

The definition of harmful to minors makes clear this is not about sex ed. “That quality of any description or representation, in whatever form, of nudity, sexual conduct, sexual excitement, or sado-masochistic abuse, when, taken as a whole, it predominately appeals to the prurient interest in sex of minors, is patently offensive to prevailing standards in the adult community in the State as a whole with respect to what is suitable material for minors, and lacks serious literary, artistic, political, or scientific value for minors.”

1464: Michael Jafferakos

Michael Jafferakos

Michael Jafferakos was a youth basketball coach and intramural basketball commissioner for the Our Lady of Grace Athletic Association. Predators go where the children are. He has been sexually exploiting children to create child sexual abuse material or CSAM.

In interviews, Jafferakos admitted he paid multiple minors, some as young as fourteen, to produce CSAM over several years. He also confessed to sharing some of the CSAM with others for money.

The investigation began when a mother in Wisconsin found a sexually explicit video on her son’s phone. Further investigation revealed Jafferakos met the boy on SnapChat and induced him to make a sexually explicit video which Jafferakos paid him for. He had paid him fifteen times over some months.

Investigators have found two victims from the program where he coaches.

He is currently being held without bail and faces a minimum of fifteen years in prison if convicted.

Ami Medlin

Ami Medlin was a teacher at Corinth Holders High School in Wendell, North Carolina. Together with her husband, she groomed and pursued inappropriate relationships with students. Initially, the couple was charged with indecent liberties with a student, first-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and sexual servitude.

They concocted an elaborate conspiracy of exploitation and grooming of a troubled and vulnerable student.

Ami pleaded guilty to taking indecent liberties with a minor in a plea deal that allowed the couple to avoid prison, getting probation. Ami, unlike her husband, must register as a sex offender.

1445: Caitlin Crum

Caitlin Crum

Caitlin Rose Crum was a teacher at Calvary Christian Academy in Middleburg, Florida. She was arrested when a student reported meeting her for “multiple sexual encounters.” This is the same school where Joshua Dice taught.

Crum first met the girl before she became a teacher and continued meeting with her at her relatives’ homes from January to May 2022. One time, Crum recorded their encounter on the victim’s phone.

She was sentenced for willful child abuse and put on probation.

The only clipping I could find mentions her in the last paragraph because a second teacher was recently charged with similar crimes at the same school

1441: Ryan Walters

Ryan Walters

Ryan Walters is Oklahoma’s Superintendent of Public Instruction. He has courted controversy by requesting $3 million to buy Trump Bibles to put in every classroom in the state. Oklahoma is dead last in education, but rather than focus on education, he’s neck deep in the culture war. He has led efforts to ban books in public schools, calling books like “The Kite Runner” of someone overcoming childhood sexual abuse pornographic.

Give that Walters presents himself as an anti-pornography crusader, it is ironic that he is now being investigated for exposing the people attending a State Board of Education meeting to the video of a naked woman that was being played on his television screen. This was done without their consent.
