Let me confirm my understanding:
this watch pattern is required to be a glob (by the LSP spec?), so this function normalizes a user-provided path into a glob-compatible form. Is that right?
If so, it might be worth handling these cases too for robustness?
- Windows paths: backslashes anywhere in the path (e.g.
.\dir\foo.json) should be unified to forward slashes? - Intermediate
./: duplicates likedir/./foo.json

When a user defined a custom config path, like `fmt.configPath` or `configPath`, the watch pattern returned the same path. VS Code does not respect this as a valid pattern and does not watch for files defined like `./define-config.ts`. Resulting into an LSP client, which will not send a watched-file-change requests to the server, when the user edited an important config path.
