TL;DR

This PR removes the legacy src/shared/presenter.d.ts entirely and replaces it with a layered, strict-type system that is:

  • per-domain (presenters/*.presenter.d.ts)
  • size-guarded (≤ 200 lines/file, ≤ 8 files/dir)
  • acyclic (only downward deps to types/core/*)
  • IPC-contract-stable (main ↔ renderer)

No behavioural change; no backward-compatibility hacks.

🔧 Key improvements

Concern Before After
Coupling 1 file, 2 kLOC, cross-imports Isolated presenters; strict DAG
IPC types ad-hoc inline shapes Shared core/usage.ts, core/chat.ts
Event contracts interface + optional fields discriminated unions + guards
Discoverability grep through mega-file semantic filename → domain
Enforcement manual review oxlint rules + size gates in CI

✅ Migration checklist (all done)

  • Create skeleton under types/core and types/presenters (no impl changes).
  • Port every interface from legacy presenter.d.ts 1-to-1 into its own .presenter.d.ts.
  • Add UsageStats and RateLimitInfo in core/usage.ts; dedupe all duplicates.
  • Implement createStreamEvent factory + isStreamEvent guards in core/llm-events.ts.
  • Update every import in src/main/** and src/renderer/** to new deep imports.
  • Delete src/shared/presenter.d.ts.
  • pnpm type-check passes (0 regressions).
  • pnpm build:main && pnpm build:renderer both green.
  • No remaining references to old file (verified with rg presenter.d.ts).

🧪 Post-merge follow-ups (out of scope)

  • Snapshot tests for event → UI block mapping.
  • Dev-time assertions for createStreamEvent.
  • CI lint rule banning optional-dict events.

Review notes

  • Each commit is strictly mechanical; individual diffs are easiest to read per presenter file.
  • Look for accidental new runtime code—there should be none.
  • Confirm renderer does not import llm-events.ts (rule violation).

Breaking change? No.
Type-only refactor; shipped code is unchanged.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • New Features

    • Unified, type-safe streaming model with text, reasoning, images, usage and rate-limit events plus explicit tool-call lifecycle.

1-861: Remove all stale references to the old presenter.d.ts.

  • docs/agent/presenter-split-plan.md: lines 4, 20–26

Update or delete these references to point to the new split-presenter files under src/shared/types/presenters.

test/mocks/electron.ts (1)

1-72: Add missing session mocks for defaultSession and webRequest

  • In test/mocks/electron.ts, extend the session export to include a defaultSession with stubbed setProxy and resolveProxy methods.
  • Update the BrowserWindow mock’s webContents to include a session.webRequest.onBeforeSendHeaders stub so calls like webContents.session.webRequest.onBeforeSendHeaders(...) don’t break.
src/main/presenter/llmProviderPresenter/index.ts (1)

793-805: Fix incorrect estimatedWaitTime calculation (can mislead UI/UX).

It currently uses “next second boundary” instead of QPS-based next-allowed time plus queue depth.

-            yield {
+ // Compute accurate next-allowed wait time based on provider rate limit and queue depth
+            const last = this.getLastRequestTime(providerId)

+            const estimatedWaitTime = Math.max(

667-691: Bug: payload mutations after command creation are not sent

You create InvokeModelWithResponseStreamCommand before mutating payload with thinking and tools. Those fields won’t be included in the request body.

Fix by building payload first, then creating/sending the command:

-      const command = new InvokeModelWithResponseStreamCommand({
-        contentType: 'application/json',
-        body: JSON.stringify(payload),
-        modelId
-      })
+ // Enable Claude 3.7 thinking if applicable
+      if (modelId.includes('claude-3-7')) {
+        payload.thinking = { budget_tokens: 1024, type: 'enabled' } as any
+      }
+
+ // Attach tools if present
+      if (anthropicTools && anthropicTools.length > 0) {
+        payload.tools = anthropicTools as any
+      }
+
+      const command = new InvokeModelWithResponseStreamCommand({
+        contentType: 'application/json',
+        body: JSON.stringify(payload),
+        modelId
+      })
-      // 启用Claude 3.7模型的思考功能
-      if (modelId.includes('claude-3-7')) {
-        payload.thinking = { budget_tokens: 1024, type: 'enabled' }
-      }
+      const response = await this.bedrockRuntime.send(command)
-      // 创建Anthropic流
-      const response = await this.bedrockRuntime.send(command)
-      const body = await response.body
+      const body = await response.body

555-561: Bug: sending unformatted ChatMessage[] to Bedrock

completions builds formattedMessages but sends messages (original shape). Bedrock expects Anthropic-formatted content.

Apply:

-      const payload = {
+      const payload = {
         anthropic_version: 'bedrock-2023-05-31',
         max_tokens: maxTokens,
         temperature,
-        system: formattedMessages.system,
-        messages
+        system: formattedMessages.system,
+        messages: formattedMessages.messages
       }

678-695: Inconsistent event emission in tool parsing block.

Lines 679-695 use raw event objects instead of the createStreamEvent wrappers, which is inconsistent with the rest of the refactored code.

 // 发送工具调用
 toolUseDetected = true
-yield {
-  type: 'tool_call_start',
-  tool_call_id: id,
-  tool_call_name: functionName
-}
-
-yield {
-  type: 'tool_call_chunk',
-  tool_call_id: id,
-  tool_call_arguments_chunk: functionArgs
-}
-
-yield {
-  type: 'tool_call_end',
-  tool_call_id: id,
-  tool_call_arguments_complete: functionArgs
-}
+yield createStreamEvent.toolCallStart(id, functionName)
+yield createStreamEvent.toolCallChunk(id, functionArgs)
+yield createStreamEvent.toolCallEnd(id, functionArgs)

700-703: Inconsistent text event emission.

Line 702 uses a raw event object instead of the createStreamEvent.text() wrapper.

 } catch {
   // 解析失败,将内容作为普通文本输出
-  yield {
-    type: 'text',
-    content: '```tool_code\n' + codeContent + '\n```'
-  }
+  yield createStreamEvent.text('```tool_code\n' + codeContent + '\n```')
 }

793-807: More inconsistent raw event objects in function call handling.

The function call parsing sections continue to use raw event objects instead of the standardized wrappers.

Apply this pattern consistently throughout the function call handling:

-yield {
-  type: 'tool_call_start',
-  tool_call_id: parsedCall.id,
-  tool_call_name: parsedCall.function.name
-}
-yield {
-  type: 'tool_call_chunk',
-  tool_call_id: parsedCall.id,
-  tool_call_arguments_chunk: parsedCall.function.arguments
-}
-yield {
-  type: 'tool_call_end',
-  tool_call_id: parsedCall.id,
-  tool_call_arguments_complete: parsedCall.function.arguments
-}
+yield createStreamEvent.toolCallStart(parsedCall.id, parsedCall.function.name)
+yield createStreamEvent.toolCallChunk(parsedCall.id, parsedCall.function.arguments)
+yield createStreamEvent.toolCallEnd(parsedCall.id, parsedCall.function.arguments)

Also applies to: 838-853

973-987: Additional inconsistent raw event objects in incomplete function handling.

The incomplete function call processing also uses raw event objects.

-yield {
-  type: 'tool_call_start',
-  tool_call_id: parsedCall.id + '-incomplete',
-  tool_call_name: parsedCall.function.name
-}
-yield {
-  type: 'tool_call_chunk',
-  tool_call_id: parsedCall.id + '-incomplete',
-  tool_call_arguments_chunk: parsedCall.function.arguments
-}
-yield {
-  type: 'tool_call_end',
-  tool_call_id: parsedCall.id + '-incomplete',
-  tool_call_arguments_complete: parsedCall.function.arguments
-}
+yield createStreamEvent.toolCallStart(parsedCall.id + '-incomplete', parsedCall.function.name)
+yield createStreamEvent.toolCallChunk(parsedCall.id + '-incomplete', parsedCall.function.arguments)
+yield createStreamEvent.toolCallEnd(parsedCall.id + '-incomplete', parsedCall.function.arguments)

995-995: Remaining raw event objects need migration.

Several more instances of raw event objects need to be converted to use the standardized wrappers.

-yield { type: 'text', content: potentialContent }
+yield createStreamEvent.text(potentialContent)

-yield {
-  type: 'text',
-  content: '```' + codeBlockBuffer
-}
+yield createStreamEvent.text('```' + codeBlockBuffer)

 // Final native tool call processing section also needs similar updates

Also applies to: 1002-1005, 1015-1029

1359-1376: OAuth stream path still emits raw objects; use the factory for parity

This path bypasses createStreamEvent for tool/text events, diverging from API-key path and the PR objective of a single event factory. Unify to prevent subtle IPC mismatches.

301-313: Add request timeouts and aborts for fetch-based OAuth calls

Both makeOAuthRequest and OAuth streaming lack timeouts. Hanging connections will stall the agent loop.

Apply this diff to both methods:

Repeat analogous changes in the streaming request (add AbortController, signal, and clearTimeout around fetch).

372-381: Harden remote image fetch (SSRF, timeouts, protocol checks)

Fetching arbitrary URLs directly from message content in the main process risks SSRF and hangs on slow endpoints. Validate scheme and add a timeout.

Apply:

-        } else {
-          const imageResponse = await fetch(imageUrls[0])

383-396: Use cross‑platform temp directory (fix hardcoded /tmp path)

Hardcoding /tmp breaks on Windows. Use Electron/Node temp dir.

Apply:

437-438: Add request timeout to images.edit as done for images.generate

Parity with generate() avoids indefinite hangs.

Apply:

+        result = await this.openai.images.edit(params, { timeout: 300_000 })

630-674: Unify tool-call events via factory helpers

Inline objects bypass the factory and risk drift from the contract. Use createStreamEvent.toolCallStart/Chunk/End.

Apply (representative replacements):

-              yield {
-                type: 'tool_call_start',
-                tool_call_id: id,

approximateTokenSize(block.content) may receive undefined. Also protect tokensPerSecond when generationTime === 0.

-          completionTokens += approximateTokenSize(block.content)

1304-1312: Use scoped deletion to avoid wiping the entire message store

The current implementation calls sqlitePresenter.deleteAllMessages(), which ignores the conversationId and will clear every message in the database. Instead, use the existing messageManager.clearAllMessages(conversationId) API to delete only the messages for that conversation (it also handles attachments and indices correctly).

- async clearContext(conversationId: string): Promise<void> {
-   await this.sqlitePresenter.runTransaction(async () => {
-     const conversation = await this.getConversation(conversationId)
-     if (conversation) {

-   })
- }
+ async clearContext(conversationId: string): Promise<void> {
+   await this.sqlitePresenter.runTransaction(async () => {
+     const conversation = await this.getConversation(conversationId)
+     if (!conversation) return
+     await this.messageManager.clearAllMessages(conversationId)
+   })

src/main/presenter/filePresenter/FileValidationService.ts (6)

54-61: Remove unreachable “no adapter found” branch

findAdapterForMimeType always returns a constructor (falls back to UnsupportFileAdapter), so this branch never executes. Simplify by removing it and relying on the supported/unsupported check below.

-      if (!AdapterConstructor) {
-        return {
-          isSupported: false,
-          mimeType,
- error: 'File type not supported for knowledge base processing',
-          suggestedExtensions: this.getSupportedExtensions()
-        }
-      }

107-127: Tighten findAdapterForMimeType return type and document fallback

Since you always return a constructor (with UnsupportFileAdapter fallback), narrow the return type and update the doc to reflect this. This also justifies removing the dead branch above.

-  ): FileAdapterConstructor | undefined {
+  ): FileAdapterConstructor {
@@
- // Return UnsupportFileAdapter as fallback
+ // Return UnsupportFileAdapter as fallback (ensures a constructor is always returned)
     return UnsupportFileAdapter

38-53: Normalize MIME type (strip parameters) before lookup

When detectors return values like text/plain; charset=utf-8, exact-match fails unnecessarily. Normalize once and use the normalized value downstream.

-      const mimeType = await detectMimeType(filePath)
+      const rawMime = await detectMimeType(filePath)
+      const mimeType = rawMime?.split(';', 1)[0].trim()

21-26: Make excludedAdapters immutable

Prevents accidental mutation at runtime.

-  private excludedAdapters = [
+  private readonly excludedAdapters = [

157-160: Use structured logging instead of console.error

Project guidelines call for structured logs with levels and context. Replace with your centralized logger (e.g., logger.error({ err, context: 'FileValidationService.getSupportedExtensions' })).

Also applies to: 208-209

67-75: Add machine-readable error codes; keep user-facing text unchanged

Extend FileValidationResult with an errorCode (e.g. KB_UNSUPPORTED_TYPE) in both “unsupported” branches and populate it alongside the existing fields. Then update all usages of the literal message 'File type not supported for knowledge base processing' (and its variant with adapter suffix) in:

  • src/main/presenter/filePresenter/FileValidationService.ts (unsupported branches)
  • test/main/presenter/FilePresenter.test.ts (line 104)
  • test/main/presenter/FileValidationService.test.ts (lines 106, 118, 130, 172)
  • src/shared/types/presenters/legacy.presenters.d.ts (lines 1586–1595)

So downstream code and telemetry consume the stable errorCode instead of relying on message text.

test/mocks/electron-toolkit-utils.ts (1)

1-3: Broaden mock to match real API shape (is.windows/macOS/linux) and freeze it.

Prevents test breakage where code checks platform flags; keeps mock immutable.

-export const is = {
-  dev: false
-}
+export const is = Object.freeze({

+  windows: process.platform === 'win32',

vitest.config.ts (2)

8-10: Use exact-match aliases to avoid partial collisions and follow Vite’s recommended array form.

Avoids accidentally aliasing subpaths (e.g., 'electron/something').

-    alias: {
-      '@': resolve('src/main/'),
-        '@shared': resolve('src/shared'),
-        'electron': resolve('test/mocks/electron.ts'),
-        '@electron-toolkit/utils': resolve('test/mocks/electron-toolkit-utils.ts')
-    }
+    alias: [

+      { find: /^@electron-toolkit\/utils$/, replacement: resolve('test/mocks/electron-toolkit-utils.ts') }
+    ]

13-49: Ensure renderer tests get a DOM when needed.

If any tests under test/renderer/** access window/document, route them to happy-dom.

   test: {

541-551: Clarify target vs current UI types; avoid listing deprecated tool_call_permission as a top-level type.

You already standardize it under type: 'action' + action_type. Adjust to prevent confusion.

489-500: Minor consistency: name the action payload via shared types.

20-36: Example structure exceeds the “≤ 8 files per dir” guideline—split into subfolders.

Consider grouping presenters (e.g., auth/, data/, llm/, ux/) to model the intended acyclic, shallow tree.

68-75: Strong approval: clear layering and dependency constraints.

The “presenters depend downward on core; UI avoids llm-events” rule is crisp and will prevent cycles. Keep it enforced.

You can codify acyclicity with dependency-cruiser and fail CI on violations. I can draft the config if helpful.

8-13: Consider JSON Schema typing for parameters.

If feasible, type parameters as JSONSchema7 for better editor support and validation interop.

src/main/presenter/llmProviderPresenter/index.ts (3)

304-332: Avoid race by awaiting stream shutdown before mutating providers.

setProviders stops streams but doesn’t await the abort/cleanup path; make it async and await stopAllStreams.

-  setProviders(providers: LLM_PROVIDER[]): void {
-    // 如果有正在生成的流,先停止它们
-    this.stopAllStreams()
+  async setProviders(providers: LLM_PROVIDER[]): Promise<void> {

+    await this.stopAllStreams()

Follow-up: verify ILlmProviderPresenter and call sites tolerate the async signature.

137-140: Prefer structured logging with levels over console.log.

Adopt a logger (INFO/WARN/ERROR/DEBUG) and include context fields; aligns with repo logging guidelines.

1834-1841: QPS reporting is binary (0/1); consider a rolling window for accuracy.

Not urgent, but a short sliding window (e.g., last 10s) yields more useful UI metrics.

6-39: Prefer shared Electron mock via Vitest alias

Inline mocking works, but centralizing in a shared mock (e.g., via vitest.config.ts alias) avoids duplication and drift across suites.

46-48: eventBus: keep a single send API

You now expose both sendToRenderer and send. If production code uses only one, mocking both is fine but consider asserting/using the same one consistently to prevent API drift.

124-132: ModelConfig.type should use enum, not string

If ModelConfig.type is an enum (e.g., ModelType.Chat), returning 'chat' risks type drift. Use the enum for stronger typing.

Apply this patch:

-    mockConfigPresenter.getModelConfig = vi.fn().mockReturnValue({
+    mockConfigPresenter.getModelConfig = vi.fn().mockReturnValue({
       maxTokens: 4096,
       contextLength: 4096,
       temperature: 0.7,
       vision: false,
       functionCall: false,

725-731: Unify all event emissions via createStreamEvent

You’ve switched usage/stop/error to the factory—finish the job for tool/text/reasoning for consistency and future-proofing.

Example patches:

94-99: Logs/comments language and structure

Several logs/comments are in Chinese and use plain console.*. Project guidelines require English logs and structured logging with levels and context. Please switch to the project logger, redact sensitive data, and translate messages to English.

690-692: Nit: awaiting response.body

Depending on AWS SDK versions, response.body is already an async iterable. await response.body may be unnecessary. Confirm the runtime type to avoid subtle issues.

114-219: Consider adding usage/stop event mapping snapshots

Your mapper does not cover usage or stop events. Add cases or explicitly document ignoring them to prevent silent drops in renderer.

1234-1236: English-only user-facing errors

Return English-only error strings to match guidelines and keep UI consistent.

-      yield createStreamEvent.error(error instanceof Error ? error.message : '未知错误')
+      yield createStreamEvent.error(error instanceof Error ? error.message : 'Unknown error')

1388-1396: Emit reasoning events in OAuth stream (parity with API-key path)

Currently only text is emitted here. For consistency, parse <think>…</think> blocks and emit reasoning chunks like in coreStream.

I can provide a small helper to split/route think/text deltas if helpful.

1229-1236: Stop reason derivation could be more precise

Using toolUseDetected as a proxy for stop reason is coarse. Track the provider’s explicit stop reason (e.g., from message_delta.stop_reason or a final stop event) and forward it.

Happy to draft a minimal patch that records lastStopReason and uses it in createStreamEvent.stop.

886-888: Consider adding error handling for the generator delegation.

430-596: Consider improving type safety and error handling in helper functions.

The helper functions could benefit from more explicit type handling and better error messages.

Consider these improvements:

  1. Add explicit return type annotations
  2. Improve error messages with more context
  3. Add validation for required fields

Example for mapEventToBlock:

function mapEventToBlock(event: LLMAgentEvent): AssistantMessageBlock {
  const timestamp = Date.now()

  switch (event.type) {
    case 'error':
      return {
        type: 'error',
        content: event.data.error,
        status: 'error',
        timestamp
      }

    case 'response':
      return mapResponseEvent(event.data, timestamp)

    case 'end':
      throw new Error(`End events do not generate blocks`)

    default:
      throw new Error(`Unsupported event type: ${(event as any).type}`)
  }
}

function mapResponseEvent(data: any, timestamp: number): AssistantMessageBlock {
  // Extract the response mapping logic here for better organization
  // ...
}

605-606: Fix type for stopReason

Indexing a discriminated union by a non-common key is fragile. Use the factory’s parameter type.

Apply:

-    const stopReason: LLMCoreStreamEvent['stop_reason'] = 'complete'
+    type StopReason = Parameters<typeof createStreamEvent.stop>[0]
+ const stopReason: StopReason = 'complete'

685-893: Reduce event spam: coalesce single-character text/reasoning emits

Per-char yields flood IPC and degrade UI perf. Buffer and flush by size/time or on whitespace boundaries.

I can provide a minimal coalescing helper with threshold/timer if you want it integrated here.

Also applies to: 925-937

175-176: Avoid @ts-ignore in formatMessages

Prefer precise typing/narrowing to keep strict mode intact.

Example:

-            //@ts-ignore api 和 sdk 定义不同
-            type: msg.role === 'assistant' ? 'output_text' : 'input_text',
+            type: (msg.role === 'assistant' ? 'output_text' : 'input_text') as
+              | OpenAI.Responses.MessageContentText['type']
+              | OpenAI.Responses.InputText['type'],

Also applies to: 183-185

src/main/presenter/llmProviderPresenter/providers/openAICompatibleProvider.ts (2)

971-989: Coalesce text/reasoning emission to reduce IPC chatter

Frequent single-character emits harm performance. Buffer to threshold or newline, then flush.

I can propose a small flush helper with setTimeout-based coalescing if desired.

Also applies to: 985-989, 708-746, 748-758

59-68: Use English in code comments/logs

Per repo guidelines, keep comments/logs in English for consistency. A quick pass to translate the remaining Chinese comments will help others.

Also applies to: 375-377, 599-607, 649-656

src/shared/types/core/chat.ts (2)

16-21: Constrain mention categories to a strict union.

category: string is too loose and allows invalid values. Use a literal union to match downstream handling (resources | tools | files | prompts).

-export type UserMessageMentionBlock = {
+export type UserMessageMentionBlock = {
   type: 'mention'
   content: string
   id: string
-  category: string
+  category: 'resources' | 'tools' | 'files' | 'prompts'
 }

48-95: Narrow extra to a discriminated shape.

Record<string, string | number | object[] | boolean> hampers type safety. Consider an ExtraByType map keyed by type and action_type.

src/shared/types/presenters/index.d.ts (1)

36-37: Temporary legacy re-exports noted.

Keep a deprecation note/timeline to remove legacy.presenters after dependent code is updated.

src/shared/types/core/llm-events.ts (1)

145-149: Optional: expose more narrow type guards.

Consider adding guards for frequently-branching kinds (usage, stop, tool_call_*). Keeps presenter code cleaner.

73-79: Comment language consistency.

Non-English comments appear. Project guideline requires English logs/comments.

src/shared/types/presenters/legacy.presenters.d.ts (2)

1223-1236: Avoid depending on third-party SDK namespaces in shared d.ts.

Types like OpenAI.Responses.Tool and AnthropicTool couple your shared surface to specific SDK versions and may not resolve in all environments.

Prefer local minimal interfaces or import('openai').OpenAI['Responses']['Tool'] style, guarded behind type-only imports, or replace with unknown.

1-1852: Comments language consistency.

There are many non-English comments. The repository guideline requires English comments/logs.

test/main/presenter/llmProviderPresenter/coreEvents.test.ts (3)

28-51: Add end-without-args coverage for tool_call_end.
Real streams may emit tool_call_end without tool_call_arguments_complete. Add a case to assert it’s undefined.

Apply this diff to extend the test:

     // End event
-    const endEvent = createStreamEvent.toolCallEnd(toolId, args)
+    const endEvent = createStreamEvent.toolCallEnd(toolId, args)
     expect(endEvent.type).toBe('tool_call_end')

+    expect(endEventNoArgs.tool_call_arguments_complete).toBeUndefined()

62-72: Consider cumulative-usage scenario.
Providers may emit multiple usage events; add a test that aggregates two usage events and verifies totals.

   it('should create usage events correctly', () => {
@@
   })

+  it('should handle multiple usage events cumulatively', () => {

+    const e2 = createStreamEvent.usage(u2)
+    expect(e1.usage.total_tokens + e2.usage.total_tokens).toBe(10)

74-80: Parameterize stop reasons to guard future additions.
Exercise all union members to prevent regressions.

- it('should create stop events correctly', () => {
-   const stopReason = 'complete'
-   const event = createStreamEvent.stop(stopReason)

98-125: Avoid brittle wall-clock thresholds; make perf limits environment-aware.
Hard caps like <10ms are flaky on CI. Gate thresholds or relax based on CI/hardware.

-// Processing should be fast (< 10ms for 50KB text)

156-189: Calibrate image payload size precisely to ~1MB.
Repeating a long base64 string 10k times likely exceeds 1MB by a lot. Compute repeats to target ~1MB to keep test stable.

-const largeImageData =
-  'data:image/png;base64,' +

9-96: Prefer importing the real mapper to avoid drift.
If a production mapper exists (e.g., renderer message mapping), import it instead of a bespoke test helper so perf reflects real code.

I can wire this test to the real mapping module and adjust fixtures—want a quick patch?

191-223: Batch thresholds: add CI guardrails.
Processing 100 images <50ms can be flaky. Consider a CI-aware threshold similar to the earlier suggestion.

-// Processing 100 images should be fast (< 50ms)
-expect(processingTime).toBeLessThan(50)
+const isCI = process.env.CI === 'true'
+expect(processingTime).toBeLessThan(isCI ? 120 : 50)

260-318: Mixed-event perf threshold: relax slightly on CI.
Maintain intent, reduce flakiness.

-// Processing 500 mixed events should be fast (< 80ms)
-expect(processingTime).toBeLessThan(80)
+const isCI = process.env.CI === 'true'
+expect(processingTime).toBeLessThan(isCI ? 160 : 80)

321-351: Long-run loop: keep a safety margin on slow runners.
Minor relaxation makes this robust across agents.

-// Processing 5000 events across 100 iterations should complete in reasonable time
-expect(totalTime).toBeLessThan(500)

LLMAgentEvent is imported via "import type { LLMAgentEvent } from

372-376: Fix path traversal risk and cross-platform /tmp usage.

  • path.join(app.getPath('userData'), 'images', filePath) can escape the base dir if filePath contains .. or starts with a root.
  • Hardcoding /tmp/... breaks on Windows and non-standard environments.

Apply safe path resolution + OS tmpdir.

466-483: Avoid double-caching base64 images.

When b64_json is present, you call cacheImage twice (once to convert base64 to a cached URL, then again on that cached URL). Cache only once.

-          let imageUrl: string
-          if (result.data[0]?.b64_json) {

-            const base64Data = result.data[0].b64_json

558-565: Critical: auto-granting permission is a security bug (repeat of prior review)

🧹 Nitpick comments (13)
src/main/presenter/threadPresenter/index.ts (4)

466-479: Tighten types for contentBlock and eventData; avoid any

Use discriminated unions to type content blocks and emitted events. Example:

-      let contentBlock: any
+      type ContentBlock = Extract<AssistantMessageBlock, { type: 'content' }>
+      let contentBlock: ContentBlock

And define an explicit interface for the RESPONSE payload instead of any.

Also applies to: 495-505

481-483: Typo in comment

"每次处琅5个" → "每次处理5个".

-      // 批量处理分块,每次处琅5个
+      // 批量处理分块,每次处理 5 个

100-107: Adopt structured logging and English log messages per repo guidelines

Replace console.* with a structured logger (levels, timestamps, error codes) and write logs in English. Avoid leaking sensitive data in logs.

Also applies to: 169-171, 460-464, 2970-3009

820-855: Avoid repeating 'tool_call_permission' string; use a central enum/const

Define a PresenterActionType enum or const literal in shared types to prevent drift and typos.

Also applies to: 3733-3770, 3835-3861, 4148-4173

25-40: Deduplicate OPENAI_REASONING_MODELS.

'o1-pro' appears twice. Remove the duplicate to avoid confusion in future condition checks.

 const OPENAI_REASONING_MODELS = [
   'o4-mini',
-  'o1-pro',
   'o3',
   'o3-pro',
   'o3-mini',
   'o3-preview',
   'o1-mini',
   'o1-pro',
   'o1-preview',
   'o1',
   'gpt-5',
   'gpt-5-mini',
   'gpt-5-nano',
   'gpt-5-chat'
 ]

484-487: Event wrapping for image path + usage looks consistent.

Using imageData/usage/stop wrappers aligns with the new LLMCoreStreamEvent model. Consider logging structured metadata (providerId, modelId) alongside errors/warnings for observability.

Also applies to: 491-499, 505-510, 513-521

614-674: Use createStreamEvent wrappers for tool-call events for consistency.

You already centralized other events. Use factory helpers for tool_call_start/chunk/end too.

-              yield {
-                type: 'tool_call_start',
-                tool_call_id: id,
-                tool_call_name: item.name
-              }
+              yield createStreamEvent.toolCallStart(id, item.name)
...
-            yield {
-              type: 'tool_call_chunk',
-              tool_call_id: itemId,
-              tool_call_arguments_chunk: delta
-            }
+            yield createStreamEvent.toolCallChunk(itemId, delta)
...
-            yield {
-              type: 'tool_call_end',
-              tool_call_id: itemId,
-              tool_call_arguments_complete: argsData
-            }
+            yield createStreamEvent.toolCallEnd(itemId, argsData)

Apply similarly at Lines 667-671, 761-774, 809-822, 970-973.

Also applies to: 807-823, 958-974

676-891: Reduce per-character event emissions to avoid eventbus thrash.

You emit reasoning/text events per char in several branches. Batch into small chunks (e.g., 16–64 chars or debounce 10–25ms) to reduce IPC overhead without harming UX.

-              thinkBuffer += char
-              yield createStreamEvent.reasoning(char)
+              thinkBuffer += char
+              if (thinkBuffer.length >= 32) {
+                yield createStreamEvent.reasoning(thinkBuffer)
+                thinkBuffer = ''
+              }

And flush any remaining buffered text/reasoning on boundaries and at finalization.

146-206: Remove @ts-ignore by aligning content types.

The dual 'input_text'/'output_text' workaround is fine, but relying on @ts-ignore weakens guarantees. Consider narrowing types via conditional construction or a helper that maps ChatMessage to the SDK’s exact message content types.

49-58: Use English for comments per repo guidelines.

Comments are in Chinese in several places; repo rules require English logs/comments.

-// 添加支持的图片尺寸常量
+// Supported image sizes
-// 添加可设置尺寸的模型列表
+// Models that support size configuration
- * 核心流处理方法,根据模型类型分发请求。
+ * Core streaming handler: delegates by model type.

Also applies to: 139-206, 311-336

440-443: Prefer async cleanup and ensure deletion in finally.

fs.unlinkSync blocks the main thread. Use fs.promises.unlink and move cleanup to a finally to guarantee deletion even if downstream throws.

-        try {
-          fs.unlinkSync(imagePath)
-        } catch (e) {
- console.error('[handleImgGeneration] Failed to delete temporary file:', e)
-        }
+        try {
+          await fs.promises.unlink(imagePath)
+        } catch (e) {
+ console.error('[handleImgGeneration] Failed to delete temporary file:', e)
+        }

112-124: Wrap model fetch in try/catch here or document throw contract.

fetchProviderModels throws on network errors. Either handle and log here (preferred per guidelines) or annotate that callers must catch.

125-137: Wrap the models.list call in try/catch. The OpenAI SDK v4 supports per-request timeout (ms) overrides, so add error handling (e.g., catch APIConnectionTimeoutError and other failures) around await this.openai.models.list({ timeout }) to handle timeouts and request errors gracefully.

src/main/presenter/llmProviderPresenter/providers/*.ts: Each file in src/main/presenter/llmProviderPresenter/providers/*.ts should handle interaction with a specific LLM API, including request/response formatting, tool definition conversion, native/non-native tool call management, and standardizing output streams to a common event format.
Provider implementations must use a coreStream method that yields standardized stream events to decouple the main loop from provider-specific details.
The coreStream method in each Provider must perform a single streaming API request per conversation round and must not contain multi-round tool call loop logic.
Provider files should implement helper methods such as formatMessages, convertToProviderTools, parseFunctionCalls, and prepareFunctionCallPrompt as needed for provider-specific logic.
All provider implementations must parse provider-specific data chunks and yield standardized events for text, reasoning, tool calls, usage, errors, stop reasons, and image data.
When a provider does not support native function calling, it must prepare messages using prompt wrapping (e.g., prepareFunctionCallPrompt) before making the API call.
When a provider supports native function calling, MCP tools must be converted to the provider's format (e.g., using convertToProviderTools) and included in the API request.
Provider implementations should aggregate and yield usage events as part of the standardized stream.
Provider implementations should yield image data events in the standardized format when applicable.
Provider implementations should yield reasoning events in the standardized format when applicable.

175-179: Good: pending-permission detection is correct

You’re correctly gating end-of-stream finalization when a pending tool_call_permission exists.

188-191: Good: avoid flipping permission blocks; finalize only non-permission "loading" blocks

This matches the desired behavior while permissions are pending.

824-826: Good: permission block uses action + action_type discriminator

This aligns with the new action-based model and public types.

1021-1021: Verify: resetting reasoningEffort to undefined when cloning settings

This line clears the prior conversation’s reasoningEffort on new conversation creation even if the caller didn’t request it. Confirm this is intentional; otherwise, consider inheriting the prior value or using model defaults.

3735-3739: Good: locating permission block by action_type and tool_call.id

Lookup is robust and logs helpful context on failure.

3856-3859: Good: require a granted permission block before resuming

This prevents resuming without an explicit grant.

3949-3956: Good: finalize after denial without altering permission block

Only transitions loading blocks; preserves accurate state.

4153-4156: Good: continue-path correctly sources tool call from granted permission block

Discriminated search is consistent with the action-based model.

src/main/presenter/llmProviderPresenter/providers/openAIResponsesProvider.ts (3)

11-11: Good move: centralized stream-event factory adoption.

Switching to createStreamEvent improves type-safety and consistency across providers.

357-361: Correct error signaling on missing prompt.

Emitting error then stop('error') is correct and matches the standardized event model.

894-911: Completion, usage, and error events via factory look good.

Stop reason uses 'tool_use' when appropriate; usage and reasoning summary are forwarded correctly.

Also applies to: 915-917

221-224: Deduplicate imports: keep the new shared path only.

Remove the stale example import from the old local path.

 import { createStreamEvent } from '@shared/types/core/llm-events'

1636-1640: Remove commented-out logs or guard behind a debug flag.

Dead code adds noise. Prefer a debug logger if you want to keep this locally.

13-21: Add fence language for the diagram (MD040).

Mark the diagram block as plain text.

src/main/presenter/llmProviderPresenter/index.ts: src/main/presenter/llmProviderPresenter/index.ts should manage the overall Agent loop, conversation history, tool execution via McpPresenter, and frontend communication via eventBus.
The main Agent loop in llmProviderPresenter/index.ts should handle multi-round LLM calls and tool usage, maintaining conversation state and controlling the loop with needContinueConversation and toolCallCount.
The main Agent loop should send standardized STREAM_EVENTS (RESPONSE, END, ERROR) to the frontend via eventBus.
The main Agent loop should buffer text content, handle tool call events, format tool results for the next LLM call, and manage conversation continuation logic.

⚠️ Potential issue

Doc inconsistency: remove standalone tool_call_permission type.

Earlier you standardize permission into type: 'action' with action_type='tool_call_permission'. This list reintroduces a separate tool_call_permission type—please reconcile.

🤖 Prompt for AI Agents
In docs/agent/message-architecture.md around lines 543 to 547, the list
incorrectly reintroduces a standalone `tool_call_permission` message type;
remove that list item and instead document that permission requests are
represented as `type: 'action'` with `action_type: 'tool_call_permission'` (or
add a clarifying parenthetical) so the doc consistently uses the unified
`action` type for permissions.

* docs: Add strong-typed message architecture and implementation guidelines

- Update message-architecture.md with strong-typed design, remove compatibility compromises
- Add event-to-UI mapping table and rendering checklist for contract compliance
- Create presenter-split-plan.md for type system refactoring
- Add implementation-tasks.md with phased rollout plan
- Create .cursor/rules/provider-guidelines.mdc for provider implementation guidance

This establishes a foundation for strong-typed, maintainable message architecture without legacy compatibility debt.

* types(core): add strong-typed core types and barrel exports\n\n- Add usage.ts (UsageStats, RateLimitInfo)\n- Add llm-events.ts (discriminated union + factories + guards)\n- Add agent-events.ts (LLMAgentEvent*, shared types)\n- Add chat.ts (Message/AssistantMessageBlock/UserMessageContent)\n- Add mcp.ts (MCP content/response/definition)\n- Add types/index.d.ts barrel exports\n\nNo compatibility shims included by design.

* refactor(types): move legacy presenters and add @shared/presenter stub; keep legacy exports in types/index to maintain build\n\n- Move legacy presenters to src/shared/types/presenters/legacy.presenters.d.ts\n- Add src/shared/presenter.d.ts re-export stub\n- Temporarily export only legacy presenters from types/index.d.ts to avoid type mismatches\n- Update implementation-tasks.md (Stage 2 done)\n\nNext: progressive import updates to new cores, then flip barrel to new types and delete legacy.

* refactor(types): alias legacy core message types to strong-typed core (B-plan)\n\n- legacy.presenters.d.ts now re-exports ChatMessage/ChatMessageContent/LLMAgentEvent/LLMAgentEventData/LLMCoreStreamEvent from core\n- Prepares for flipping interfaces without changing import sites

* docs(tasks): mark Phase 3 as completed\n\n- Successfully implemented B-plan approach with type aliasing\n- Unified core message types (ChatMessage, LLMAgentEvent, LLMCoreStreamEvent)\n- Created core model types and maintained build compatibility\n- All type checks passing with no breaking changes

* fix(types): revert to legacy-only exports and fix MESSAGE_ROLE\n\n- Revert types/index.d.ts to only export legacy presenters\n- Remove 'function' from MESSAGE_ROLE to match core definition\n- Maintain build stability while preserving type unification work

* feat(provider): implement factory functions for LLMCoreStreamEvent\n\n- Replace all manual event creation with createStreamEvent factory functions\n- Ensures type safety and consistent event structure\n- Updated OpenAICompatibleProvider with strong-typed events:\n - text, reasoning, toolCallStart, toolCallChunk, toolCallEnd\n - error, usage, stop, imageData events\n- All type checks passing\n- Phase 4.1 completed: Provider now outputs LLMCoreStreamEvent with factory construction

* feat(provider): update OllamaProvider with factory functions\n\n- Replace all manual event creation with createStreamEvent factory functions\n- Ensures consistent tool_call_start → tool_call_chunk → tool_call_end sequence\n- Updated all event types: text, reasoning, toolCall*, usage, stop, error\n- Maintains proper tool call ID aggregation and sequencing\n- Phase 4.2 completed: Tool call sequences now strictly follow start/chunk/end pattern

* docs(tasks): update Phase 4 progress\n\n- Completed Provider strong-typed event output with factory functions\n- Completed tool_call_* strict start/chunk/end sequences\n- Completed usage event sent before stop in all providers\n- Updated implementation tasks document with current progress

* feat(phase4): complete Provider strong-typed event integration\n\n- Added factory functions import to AwsBedrockProvider\n- Updated error handling to use createStreamEvent.error() + createStreamEvent.stop('error')\n- Created comprehensive unit tests for LLMCoreStreamEvent factory functions\n- Tests validate: event creation, tool call sequences, error+stop patterns, type guards\n- All 12 core event tests passing ✅\n\n## Phase 4 Completed:\n- ✅ Provider strong-typed event output (factory construction)\n- ✅ tool_call_* strict start/chunk/end sequences with ID aggregation\n- ✅ Usage events sent before stop in all providers\n- ✅ Rate limit events (handled at Presenter layer)\n- ✅ Unified error + stop event patterns\n- ✅ Comprehensive unit tests for sequences/fields/boundaries
