At the Global Allergy & Airways Patient Platform (GAAPP), we understand that healthcare challenges, policy environments, and patient needs vary significantly across the globe. To address these unique local realities, GAAPP has established specialized Regional Alliances.

These alliances bring together member organizations within specific geographical areas to share resources, unify their advocacy efforts, and build capacity in a way that is culturally and politically relevant to their region.

Regional groups are:

AMEA (Africa and Middle East Alliance)

The Africa and Middle East Alliance (AMEA) is GAAPP’s regional coalition formed to address the urgent respiratory and immunological health burdens in the region. Focus is on bridging the gap in patient advocacy across African and Middle Eastern nations, where respiratory disease burden is often high but resources are scarce. Key activities are capacity building for emerging patient groups, improving access to diagnosis and affordable treatments, and establishing a unified patient voice to influence regional health policy.
