As an Exploration Place member, you are eligible for benefits such as free General Admission to 358 ASTC Passport Program partner locations listed below.

Individual memberships receive one free admission. Group memberships like Household and Supporter receive up to 2 adults and 4 children free.

These benefits do not include free/discounted admission to special exhibits, planetarium and larger-screen theater presentations, nor do they include museum store discounts and other benefits associated with museum membership unless stated otherwise. Always check with the partner institution you are visiting!

Before You Travel

    Make sure the science center/museum you are visiting is included in the list above.

  • Review The Admittance Policy

    If you have any questions on your ASTC Passport Program benefits, please call the partner museum before you visit. Remember: Individual memberships receive one free admission.
    Group memberships like Household and Supporter receive up to 2 adults and 4 children.

  • Pack Your ID

    Admissions staff reserve the right to request ID or proof of residence for benefits to apply.

  • Pack Your Exploration Place Membership Card

    Passport Program venues are not required to grant benefits to visitors who forget their cards. Unfortunately, there is no universal database with all Passport visitors’ member data for admission staff to reference.

Need a New or Updated Membership Card?

If you need a new or updated membership card, you can visit museum’s ticket counter where a membership card can be printed or updated immediately. This is the fastest way to get your new membership card. Or, fill out the form and a new membership card or expiration date sticker will be sent by mail.

As a member of Exploration Place, who participates in the ASTC Passport Program, you are eligible for benefits such as free general admission when you travel outside of your local area. These benefits do not include free or discounted admission to special exhibits, planetarium, and large screen theater presentations, nor do they include museum store discounts and other benefits associated with museum membership unless stated otherwise. Exclusions apply and benefits vary.

The list of included museums changes throughout the year and is subject to change without notice. Exploration Place is not responsible for the availability or accuracy of the details of participating museums and science centers. See full details at astc.org.

Exclusions:

  • Science centers and museums located within 90 miles of the science center/museum where the visitor is a member.
  • Science centers and museums located within 90 miles of the visitor’s residence.

This distance is based on the linear radius, not driving distance. To help determine linear radius distance, use the “Measure Distance” feature on Google Maps.
