The Cradle of Aviation Museum remembers Tom Gwynne (1944–2026), a Grumman test pilot and U.S. Air Force veteran who flew the F-14 Tomcat and played a key role in flight test operations at Calverton. Gwynne later contributed to the Museum’s development, helping shape how Long Island’s aerospace history is presented to the public.
