Skies Over Michigan

Longway Planetarium’s astronomy experts take you on a tour of the night sky over Michigan in this live planetarium lecture. Learn about the rotation of the Earth, how to find the North Star, and which constellations and planets are visible in your backyard tonight. Stargazers can come back to this show again and again to find out about recent astronomical events and for seasonal updates on what’s visible in the night sky over Michigan.
Recommended for ages 10 and older.
The Queen Light Show
Friday & Saturday @ 7 p.m.
Experience The Queen Light Show: “From Mercury With Love” in a unique Planetarium setting like no other! Back on the Longway Planetarium schedule by popular demand, this original light show features ten of Queen’s greatest hits, including Bohemian Rhapsody, Another One Bites the Dust, and You’re My Best Friend, all set to amazing visuals and a 7.1 surround sound system! Recommended for ages 10 and older.
This crowd-pleasing show allows audiences to experience the magic of Queen’s iconic music in an immersive full-dome environment with Digistar 7 technology and two Christie Boxer projectors boasting 4k resolution across the entire 16-meter dome with system brightness of 60,000 lumens.
Dark Side Light Show

Experience Pink Floyd’s iconic Dark Side of the Moon album as never before in this one-of-a-kind show, featuring stunning 4k visuals, brilliant LED sequences, and incredibly clear 5.1 surround sound.
