Changes to CMOR’s Membership Program

After more than a decade without any changes, we’re excited to offer an updated membership program on May 1, 2026 that streamlines our offerings, retires a few seldom-used levels, and brings our program in line with today’s best practices.

Memberships purchased before May 1, 2026 are valid until they expire. When they expire, you will be invited to join at one of our new levels.

Visit our membership page for more information, along with a new method to securely purchase memberships online.

Annual Garden Party Fundraiser

June 11, 6:00 – 8:00 pm
Kids Go Green! Environmental Center and Gardens

Enjoy an evening in our beautiful Kids Go Green! Environmental Center and Gardens.

This year’s Garden Party will feature guest speaker Stephen Lyn Bales, who will give a presentation on monarch butterflies. Our evening will include dinner and dessert from Birdwell Catering, wine, and jazz music from the Oak Ridge Jazz Jam. Proceeds will benefit the Kids Go Green! Environmental Center and Gardens.

Tickets are $60 per person (plus a small processing fee) and are on sale here. In the event of rain, the program will be held inside the Museum. No refunds are given unless the event is cancelled by CMOR. For more information, call the Museum at (865) 482-1074.

Grant News

The Children’s Museum is pleased to announce that it has been selected to receive a $1600 grant from the TN 250 program. The money will be used to replace the kitchen countertop in the historic Flattop House.

Admission Price Changes

Effective January 2, the Children’s Museum will implement two updates to its admission prices. Free admission will now apply to children age 1 and younger, and the Highland View Neighborhood Free Admission program will be discontinued. Highland View residents who receive SNAP benefits will continue to receive free admission through the Museums for All program. Thank you for your support as the Children’s Museum navigates significantly rising operating costs.
